The drivers need to help load and unload groceries they sit there until where done doing it ourselves

I called family cab yesterday morning to confirm that they would be able to take me from my mechanic in Plaistow NH to my house in Brentwood NH later that night. I was told yes, just call when you need it as long as you have a credit card and that it would be $45.00. Called later that night and was told that they could not send anyone out of town. I told them I called earlier and made my plans around them. I also explained I was now stranded. "The day shift should not have told you that", is what I was told. I explained that regardless both the day shift and the night shift were in fact the same company and that they were stranding me with no way to get home. Long story short, I pressed the Uber button on my phone and 5 minutes later I was on my way home for half the money I was quoted by Family Taxi. read more

This morning your cab driver pulls an illegal uturn on Washington Street in Haverhill less than 20 feet in front of me, throws ME the finger when I swerve to avoid her, then she parks in a handicap parking spot to run into a convenient store! This is literally the worste taxi company I have ever used! I have had them multiple times leave me stranded, forget to pick me up. Tell me there five minutes away...for over an hour. Just tonight I called in advance to get a price for a taxi they had me on the phone for 10 minutes then gave me a price. I asked if I could order a time call, and they said I need to call when I am ready...I call when I'm ready, and they change the price. I try to explain that they gave me a different price. Mind you very CLEAR about the address BOTH TIMES. They tell me it's a different price there "reading it off some sheet...these people are the absolute worste! read more

I am giving one star only because I have to... I don't think this deserves any. So... I just pulled in to a Dunkin Donuts Drive-thru to get my usual morning Coffee and a "Family Cab" driver turned in just ahead of me. This is a busier location and there was a decent amount of people already inline at the drive-thru (normal) but the line moves rather quick. For whatever reason the Cab dirver would NOT pull ahead. He sat as the same spot he got in line, as me and others piled up behind him. There were at least 3 car lengths of space infront of him... and someone (Very calmy) finally said "Hey pull forward" (As the line was spilling out in to the street and starting to cause a traffic issue) he starts flipping people off... spitting out the window - yelling swear laced gibberish out the window. HE then starts yelling at the car infront of him to MOVE (Note this car had placed thier order and moved up from the speaker). He finally moves forward and is stil flipping off out the window, Pouding his steering wheel and yelling stuff out the window (NO ONE HAD SAID ANYTHING other than the one person who said "Hey pull forward"). He finally gets to the window... I watch him aggressivly grab his Coffee and his change from the drive-thru attendant before he peels out and into traffic cutting someone off. I don't know if if he is mentally disturbed or having a bad day, BUT we all have bad days and don't need to behave like this - especially in a car with your company's logo all over it. This isn't the first time I have seen this cab company's drivers act rude and unruly. One would think a company owner would want the image of his company to be better than this. I know they are the only cab company in town, but I would take an uber over this any day. read more

Would like to commend the fine gentleman behind the blue, late-model Subaru Outback on Monument Street the other day. Riding my bike, and approaching the four-way stop to take a left, I motioned my intentions after looking to see that he was hundreds of feet behind me. He quickly corrected me by laying on his horn and speeding up to prevent me from using the full lane. He then repeatedly swore and threatened to kill me. After I acquiesced to his wishes and let him pass, he continued to swear and threaten my life. It's nice to know such thoughtful and experienced drivers work for a company that is contracted to transport our kids in Haverhill Public Schools! read more

My 88 year old mother in Assisted Living in Norwood took family taxi approximately 3 miles one way to Westwood (Frugel Fannys) and was charged $50.00 for a round trip. Total elderly abuse. Don't use them, horrible read more

My daughter just had the worst cab ride from A Family Cab. They didn't know the address (no GPS), the driver called her a bitch. They had a fight and she made him stop the car and she got out. She ended up getting back in the car and then he charged her $25 to drive 3.7 miles. The dispatcher was also rude to her and it took 25 minutes for the cab to pick her up. read more

I called 40 minutes before my train was to leave, the ride to station from my house is 6minutes. The man who answered basically promised he'd get me to train on time . Not the case and I had to cancel the ride as I would miss my train . So I called Lyft and car was at my house in 6 mintutes and I was early for the next train . So, sorry cab company.... read more

Horrible drivers. I would NEVER use a cab in the first place but especially not one from this company. One of them just crossed over to my side coming right at me causing me to drive into a snow bank to avoid them. This was on Brook Street in Haverhill around 4 p.m. Complete douchebags. read more

Well, Family Cab isn't collecting too many stars here on help. But on my occasion, we were stood-up by another service. Needed a ride to Logan ASAP from the Best Western in Haverhill. Badda bing, they showed up right away on short notice and got my wife and I to our flight in time. Did we get lucky? Maybe, but perhaps you should give them a try yourself. read more

I would give them zero stars if possible... If your lucky enough to get one of these rude clowns on the phone, they treat you like garbage for requesting a ride. They are always late, which in turn makes you late. They overcharge, they have disgusting cabs, and rude drivers. I would rather walk than be a part of this racket that they call a business. read more

I wish I could give them a zero!!! I had scheduled the taxi two days ahead of time.We were waiting where I asked them to pick us up for about 40 minutes. When I called the company to ask where they were they said that we were not outside and basically hung up on me. I was desperately trying to help this person get to an appointment, so I called back. Again the dispatcher said we weren't waiting and hung up on me. He said he couldn't send another taxi without another fax from my agency. I could not send a fax from the place we were at. I had to cancel this appointment for this client. Don't use them!!! You might have to, because they are the only taxi service in Haverhill, so I guess you are forewarned. read more

Im a 7 year Haverhill resident and professional driver. All of these family cab drivers operate dangerously and careless if they don't have a fare. There is no excuse for these unprofessional tactics. LYFT is readily available in the city and are most often cheaper, more reliable, much nicer newer cars and if you report a driver, rideshare companies care if their drivers operate recklessly. I called to request a cab from Market Basket back to my house, when I called the dispatcher yelled at me and then hung up on me!! VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! Called to see if I could get a specific time because I am disabled and suffer from chronic pain. I was calling an hour early and live only 10 minutes away and every time I tried to see if this was okay and they could be there at a specific time the only words I got returned to me literally " call when you need the ride." I called yesterday to book a car for an early morning flight out of Manchester and had a less than stellar experience. The gentleman told me they'd have to find someone to take the call since it was close to the shift change time. He then asked for my cc number to reserve the ride -- I asked if there would definitely be someone to take the ride and he replied, "Well, I'll HAVE to find someone or my boss will fire me." He proceeded to take my cc information and became so frustrated with doing so that he eventually said, "F@$& THIS! I can't take it anymore!!", dropped the phone and continued screaming profanities in the background. Needless to say, I ended up using another provider (DK Airport Service) to go to Manchester airport and they were WONDERFUL! read more

Rude rude rude. Guys over the phone are A-holes. Refused to give me an estimate on my ride, berated me for even asking! Husband has used them a few times in a pinch coming home from groceries, and from what he says the condition of the cars is a joke. They smell like cigarettes, dirty and dusty. My mother was driving behind one one day who decided to stop without warning in the middle of Main street. She beeped at him and he flipped her the bird! They're one of two cab companies in Haverhill, so don't bother with them unless you need to. read more

I always call this cab place when I plan on drinking downtown.. Most places they will bring you for 10-12$ (and that's border hopping from NH to MA too!). They have some real characters driving, and I like them. They are reliable and fair. woot! read more

Horrible customer service the gentleman that answers the phone needs to be fired he hangs up on you never answers your questions. The drivers try to make up for it by being nice. The way the cab look dented and old. I hope someone open another cab company and run them out of business. I would do it but I moving in two months I am so HAPPY. read more

I have used the services of this company many times and have been satisfied with the service. But today I called to request a rough estimate on a ride of 6.4 miles and was met with utter rudeness... I was told by a man (who seemed in a bad mood to start with) that the ride runs on a meter. I made further inquiries to get clarification, how does the meter charge - per mile, 1/2 mile etc.... and his response was "it runs on a meter." Then before I could say anything else he said "there is a call on the other line, it runs on a meter." at this point I was completely pissed myself and told him what I thought of his customer service. I got pick up with my 68 year old mom at central plaza Haverhill, an before jumping inside the cab I say senior fare, he quickly say you have to saying before getting in, I'm like huh!!!!! I told him Ain't that exactly what I did? He expected me to yelled "SENIOR FARE"! from outside before jumping in, no matter how logical I explain it to him he tried to come with a different excuse, things is these driver are quickly to press the meter with out waiting for the customer to jump in first, having my mom there she had a nerve break down, an the cab driver was the same person who dispatch when you call, we need a different cab company or family cab should be run by a different manager. read more

I've been calling this company for about a year now, and lately I can't recommend them. The wait time between calling them and a cab showing up has gotten exceptionally long. The last few times I have waited about 45 minutes, which is less than ideal. Today, the driver started the meter before we started driving, indicating that if the car is being loaded with bags, that's when the meter starts. And the meter wouldn't be stopped until all bags were unloaded from the car. I can't verify this information anywhere online, so I am skeptical. Secondly, this has never been the policy in any cab until tonight, so again, I am skeptical. Then the driver conveniently missed a turn and didn't say anything until I asked him where he was going and why he was taking extra turns, at which point he mumbled an apology. I regularly take cabs, but from now on, I'm going to have to call someone else. If you're desperate, this isn't the worst company, but you might want to go elsewhere. read more

When giving them the address they rudely interrupted me mid sentence, then also proceeded to pick me up at the opposite end of the plaza then i told them, claiming that IM In the wrong and gave the wrong location. First, let me begin by saying I used this company religiously for almost a year. I put up with longer than average wait times and even the seemingly high fees, but what I would not tolerate in the end is the attitude I experienced from this company. On multiple occasions I called asking for a pickup and was greeted with a very brash individual who made it seem like I was inconveniencing him by even calling. Horrible people who work there, wouldn't drive out 15minutes to me and said I had to pay first via card other the phone so I said okay being nice then he said to just ring back tomorrow in a horrid voice (because he couldn't be bothered to sort me out) rung back the next day and when he realised it was me he hung up, I would defiantly not recommend, avoid at all cost!
