Pretty cool that Delano has it own game store. The prices are a little high but what other choice do you have.

Leisure Time Games is located in the Santa Maria Towne Center, if you check out the pictures you…read morecan see that it's a tiny store that sells all kinds of cool board games. What really makes this place popular is their tournaments that are held almost every day! When I was there, they were holding a Magic tournament. At least that is what I think they were playing, but I don't have too much experience in that stuff. There were tons of people here though, both in front of the store as well as in the far back of the store. There were tons of tables set out with people in the tournament. There was so much that there was an over spillage of people into the tables the mall provides in the middle of the mall! The store seems kind of dark and old, like you're in some kind of basement. I think they need better lighting. The selection of board games was small, but they had popular ones like the Settlers of Catan, Seafareres of Catan, many different variety/themes of Munchkin, and even Monopoly! This is a great place for a boy to spend time at.

I'm new to the world of comics so I enjoy visiting the store. I like the store its small and conveniently located in the mall. The store is clean and organized easy to find what your looking for. If you need assistance someone will help you. Great customer service. The store owner is very nice he always greets us when we walk in and remembers my husband's name.

Game Stop is definitely one of our "go to" places for video games. We actually frequent almost all…read morethe locations in Bakersfield; however, we don't go as much as we used to. When me and my husband was a lot younger we definitely would get all the new games, but now it's basically what the kiddos want. I wouldn't say this Game Stop is the worst one, but sometimes there's always a long line and only one person at the register. I don't know how they organize their setup w their staff, but at times, you can see the other workers in the back of the counter just chit chatting and getting all hyped up about a game coming out instead of opening up a new register to help let the flow move a little quicker. We still go back to Game Stop because they have where you can put games or consoles on hold before the release date and you can actually make payments on it til the actual product is released and I like that so by the time the release date comes then you can just pick up your product. If you end up removing your hold, they hold on to some of your money that you put down so that you can put it something else on hold. I don't believe they do refunds for that, which I felt was a bit weird, but didn't bother me much since my whole family is gamers and we always come back. This Game Stop is definitely smaller than the one on Rosedale and maybe a little bit bigger than the one in the mall, but parking seems to be the same at all of those locations as parking seems to be in secluded crammed up areas. Other than that, no matter if you like the place or not.... if you're a gamer then you end up coming back lining up at the long lines, but don't worry.... once it's over you can play your game. ;-) Last but not least... PlayStation is still better than Xbox.... but PC games are way cooler... thee end!
