Saw an article about this place and had to come! Happy we did!! It was AMAZING!! Definitely after…read moreliving in VT for over 26 years and read about the Maple Madness! Texted to my two guys! Both said "YES, PLEASE, count me in. Except one lives in FL and was just here in the beginning of July for an extended weekend! Love trying something NEW, especially with multi levels of MAPLE!! All the layers of deliciousness are Maple! We will be back even with the 45 min oneway drive!! Of course, it located in the Historic downtown Middlebury! They did an entire renovation on the inside of the building to its original beautiful beginnings! Tin ceiling, brick walls and beautiful painted wood ceiling mouldings! You all have done a beautiful job!! The huge counter had a section of all their frozen treats! And when you walk, I loved the way they decorated the wall with all the Chimney cake forms! Very nice touch! Simple and beautiful! The Chimney Cake cone was dusted with maple sugar, the cone has a nice crisp cake/donut bite, with hand scooped hard style Maple Creemee, topped with of course sweet flavorful Maple Syrup! There may have been more maple however it went down very smoothly and it was filling! The owners mother said they work long hours everyday to prepare the days items! Also, she mentioned that the Maple Madness and Apple pie Chimney Cones are the most popular items!! I'm one that always goes to what I had & Loved first...so, I might talk someone else into buying the Apple pie version and snagging a taste! The owner, heard we had our dog with us and told me about this amazing Dog Frozen Treat that's great for sensitive stomach dogs!! WHAT??!! My Luna can't recommend ENOUGH, usually she takes a lick now & then but once it was the perfect temperature we couldn't pull it away to make it easier for her!!! She enjoyed it immensely and had no reactions to it!! It has her favorite vegetable Pumpkin in it! SHE GAVE IT A FOUR PAWS UP REVIEW!! Come help this wonderful family business on their new delicious journey!! They have many other versions and good items! As I mentioned before, we will definitely be back!!

This bakery is a true gem. We finally made it to this spot on the last day of our trip although I…read morehad planned to go from the beginning. The bakery is located a little off the Main Street but it's very short walk. I have to say if you're driving by it's very easy to miss it. My friends and I arrived here on a Tuesday morning and we were immediately greeted by Jocelyn our server. We just wanted a good coffee and some treat so we all got cappuccinos and croissants. The cappuccino was the best I had in my entire stay in Lake George. The girls and I made it a point to order one at every location we went to and nothing compared this place. It was delicious! The croissant was fresh, delicate and had the perfect layered crisp. The place is truly beautiful, it honestly feels like you're in Europe. Every details put into this place truly makes it remarkable. Again, Jocelyn, who is a local, was the sweetest server. She makes sure every customer leaves happy. We also got to meet the owner who bakes every item with much love and care. We loved this place so much we stopped by on our way home that afternoon for their fresh baked sourdough and it was also a hit!! Be sure not to miss this local gem when visiting the area.

Our breakfast here was a real vacation buzz kill. I tried and tried to rationalize our experience…read morebut really it just adds up to this restaurant being a particularly deceptive tourist trap. We got 2 French seasons 14 dollars each. 14 dollars pays for a drip coffee, a really dense croissant, and a pain au chocolate. Those three items would have been cheaper bought separately. The menu leads you to believe that you will get a juice, a coffee or tea, 2 tartines and 2 baguettes or pastries. The grammar is deceptive. The juice was on a separate line from the coffee or tea, Tartines are bread with spread but can mean lots of things, and there was no colon to link that the pastries and baguette were the tartine options. So, Really you just get a beverage and more or less two pieces of bread. Finally, my husband ordered a ristretto ( extra strength espresso) in addition to his French season, and What he was given tasted suspiciously like my big cup of drip coffee in a tiny cup. Most places don't have ristretto on the menu no one will miss it if it's not there... If you aren't that committed to coffee don't pretend to be. I should have come to yelp to read the reviews first but we had vacation goggles on!

We came literally a few minutes before closing time, and they were kind enough to accommodate our group. There was a few ppl seated enjoying coffee and convos, but no one line, so ordering was quick. Parking- easy, a lot out front of the entrance. Service- was easy, the kind gentleman. I didn't get to ask if he was the owner or much about the business but I wish I had. Food- I split a brekky sandwhich with my friend and it was good. And we shared some of the apple cider donuts. I tried to be good girl and only take a few bites. But I really wanted a whole donut to myself. They are in fact very yummy. I see why this is popular item in this part of the country.

And the owner was sold out of almost everything and was kind enough to let us order some hot breakfast sandwiches, which were so good! I had the bacon, egg and cheese, and the eggs were cooked to perfect, the bacon was nice and crisp just like I like! Bacon in every bite! And the bread it came on was light and fluffy, super yummy. I am not a big donut person, so I didn't try them, but my friends seemed to love them, because the half dozen we got were all gone between the 4 of them!! Great owner, super nice, and so kind! Loved the little cafe, which you can tell is a local fave spot, as there were some ladies enjoying breakfast and looked like they were having a great goss sesh!
