The front desk secretary wouldn't even give me central scheduling's phone number to make an appointment that Dr Farin ordered. She told me, "you have my chart, you can find it on there" Dr Farin repeatedly ignored a complaint I had. She made me feel like I was making it up and drug seeking. She would instead send me for repeated expensive tests. I finally found another physician. After 1 visit it was determined I had severe endometriosis and needed surgery. Pain free ever since. Absolutely regret switching Dr's and choosing her as my high risk OB. She is soo cold and completely ignores your concerns. I went into preterm labor after seeing her Nurse Practitioner (bc she was on vacation) whom checked my cervix when I was on a complete pelvic rest and sent me home!! Then after having a complete stranger deliver my baby at 36weeks! She literally came into my room and never once asked how myself or baby were doing, how my delivery went and thenn refused me birth control and a flu shot!! I truly regret ever seeing her. read more

I had a very different experience than the other reviewer. I started visiting her based on a recommendation from my sister in law when I found out I was pregnant. I was a nervous wreck. She helped me feel confident in my pregnancy. I never waited more than a few minutes and the handful of times she was "stuck" in C-Section her admin, Jen, called me to give me the option to come wait or reschedule. I found her office staff and nurse (Rae is who i awaits had) to be friendly and professional. Dr. Farin delivered both of my children. I had LONG labors - talking 36 hours with my first. The entire time she made sure I was comfortable. She came in for both of my deliveries (she was not on rotation) and kept a close eye on me. She was vocal during delivery, encouraging pushing and keeping me informed of what she was doing. I had a vaginal birth with both of mine. After my second, I struggled with postpartum depression. She guided me through some options and even checked in on my after office hours. I had about the best pregnancy/delivery I could've expected. Every pregnancy and labor is different and both times with Dr.Farin were exceptional for me. I'm not planning on it- but if number 3 ever makes a debut-she'll be my doctor! read more

If I could rate this place a 0 I would. Dr. Farin removed an arm implant I had. Dug around in my arm for 45 mins (not exaggerated) made two incisions and then super glued me shut. Within a day and half infection broke out bad and I ended up in the ER for two days on 4 different antibiotics. Took over a month and a half to heal completely and I have a nasty scare. I HIGHLY recommend not using her as your doctor. I know I'll never go back. Pictures are provided to show infection. Hope this helps anyone that's looking into joining her office. I have been seeing Dr. Farin as my gynecologist for the past three years. She is one of the best doctors I have seen. She will take the time to explain anything that you do not understand. She is very thorough with her exams and going over tests results. Whenever I have a question she is really good at getting back to me in a timely manner. Her staff is wonderful. The medical assistant and nurses make the process easier, lets face it..no one likes going to the gyno! I reccomend her to all of my friends and family. If I could give more than 5 stars! I would personally give 0 stars if I could. Dr Farin was the on call delivery Dr when I went into labor with my son. When she walked in the room she immediately gave me an attitude as if I was bothering her making her deliver my son. During the entire delivery she was very cold and barely said anything to me. At one point she threatened she would have to use the vacuum to get my son out. There was no explanation, no reasoning why. I had only been pushing for maybe 20 minutes. I ended up delivering him with the next push. He was a perfectly healthy baby with no complications or issues. When I went to my 6 week post partum check up I had a lot of concerns about fecal incontinence. My regular OB examined me and immediately said something wasn't right. Since that appointment I have seen 2 surgeons and have another consultation soon. I need a full reconstructive surgery because she also decided to do an episiotomy and didn't repair it correctly leaving my incision to completely open back up. At my last appointment the reconstruction Dr said that I was back to the point where she had just did the episiotomy and hadn't sewn me up yet. This was my second child. He was a pound heavier than my daughter. I don't see any reason as to why this could or would happen besides the fact that it was done in error on Dr Farins behalf. This situation has caused me so much anxiety and PTSD. My son is 3 months old and I feel like his first few months have been stolen from me because I have to deal with this issue. I would not recommend Dr Farin to my worst enemy. I understand things happen sometimes but I truly believe she practices like this on a normal day. I've met so many women through the Indiana birth review fb group that have very similar experiences. I'm not one to ever bash someone but I don't want any other woman to have to experience what I have gone through the last 3 months. read more

If I could leave less than one star, I would. Expect to wait at least an hour past your appointment time to be seen. The office staff seems uninterested in any of the patients needs, concerns, or medical conditions. Dr. Farin herself missed multiple problems during my pregnancy resulting in an emergency c-section (performed by her "associate") and a NICU stay for our new baby. When concerns were expressed about how everything was handled at follow up, she deflected blame, refused to apologized, and was downright rude. I would recommend seeing ANY other doctor over her office. read more
