The technicians showed up late if at all and barely working longer than 3 hours, rushed through the job without properly securing anything, and left in a hurry. Literally minutes after they drove away, the entire hood started sagging and the ductwork came crashing down, dangling like a sad snake from the wall. The image speaks for itself--shoddy brackets, exposed foil tape failing everywhere, and holes in the drywall that look like they were punched by amateurs. Now my kitchen is a mess, with potential fire hazards from the poor venting, and I have to pay someone else to fix their incompetence. Avoid this company at all costs; they're unprofessional, careless, and clearly don't care about quality or safety. Zero stars if I could!

I have no idea how he found me -- I think he bought the lead from an unscrupulous contractor whose…read moreexcessive bid I rejected. He said he would fix the problem for a thousand dollars. He took so long that the problem significantly worsened (or maybe his inspection worsened it?), and then he said it would cost 1100 to probably fix the problem and 2500 to definitely fix it. I said let's start with the 1100, and then pay the extra 1500 if your 1100 dollar fix doesn't work. He came by, six days after he originally promised, and spent about two hours doing his 1100 dollar job. Then his secretary (wife? daughter?) called me and asked me to pay immediately by check. I had no serious reason to distrust him -- I thought I had done research and called him for the quote rather than him cold-calling me -- so I put the check in the mail. The next rainfall, it became clear that his two hour, $1100 fix was inadequate, and I contacted him, saying -- hey, as we discussed before, can you guarantee that the extra 1500 will fix it? His secretary (wife? daughter?) replied to the email and said that he thought the roof was beyond repair (why didn't he tell me that when made the bid? why not tell me that when he started the job? why not tell me that after he finished the job?) and that, in his generosity, he was willing to apply the thousand dollars he had taken toward a new roof. Presumeably, he planned to charge five hundred dollars an hour for the roofing job, so the thousand dollars would not have gone very far. As a side note, the other review explicitly mentions his BBB A+ rating, which only means that BBB has not involved in any disputes -- if you go to his BBB page, you will find a post by an another irate customer, whose experience was remarkably similar to mine.

Follow up Post: We began our Kitchen /Floors remodel on the…read morefirst floor of our home 3/22 and signed contracts with S&W 9/21 we initially had several Issues from careless outside contractors that either were no shows, showed up and never did or finished the jobs. We had our brand new refrigerator scratched and never mounted correctly so the whole back panel froze and we never even got to use the ice cube maker. As Frustrating as the whole process was we had one person in the company who kept pulling through for us every time there was an issue which also included orchestrating our brand new floors needing to be ripped out and replaced due to a manufacturing recall. Although the remodel started out rough mostly due to the lack of tradesman wanting to work and do the jobs they were hired to do which seems to be quiet norm here in Brevard county. Justin Crump who I believe was procurement with S&w when we initially met and he ordered the new refrigerator doors got the entire job mot only done but went over and beyond to make sure we were happy which eventually resulted in bringing out a Finishing Crew to do our final punch list and replaced our refrigerator when the doors the second time around were not installed correctly again.
