I didn't too much care for all the mirrors. I can almost understand why they have them everywhere, but I scared myself walking in the entrance where there is a large mirror. Before walking in the chapel is a large mirror. Inside of the chapel is a wall of mirrors. I guess you can check yourself in the entrance to make sure your clothes or hair is straight, but all of the others were a bit much for me. It may be wonderful for others, but a bit much for me.

When my dad left us earlier this month, Phillip was comforting, prepared, and so helpful. He assisted us in not only choosing a casket and making cremation arrangements, but communicated on our behalf with the church where my dad would have his services held (the Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church). His familiarity with the church's preferences on funeral arrangements meant that every step of the way, Phillip had answers to the questions we asked (I am quite confident he has similar relationships with other churches as well -- he is kind and thoughtful and a pleasure to work with). He knew the priests at the church well and was able to call them himself to confirm dates and times while we were in meetings with him. The facilities at Peevey were lovely and we felt so comfortable hosting our visitation there -- our friends and family who came to pay their respects to my dad loved that we were able to display awards and recognitions of my dad's that were meaningful to all of us, and the screens in the main chapel allowed us to show a rolling slideshow of photos that we loved. At every step of the way, Phillip looked out for our family to ensure we were able to do for my dad what he had wished to be done. He was personally present at the visitation, at the church for funeral services, and accompanied my dad and my family to the cremation center after the services were concluded. Phillip was considerate, respectful, and made the difficult process as easy as we could ever have hoped. The staff at Peevey were equally respectful and a pleasure to work with. There is no other place I could have imagined helping us through the farewell process we were able to give my dad that would have offered us more dignity and kindness. I called and spoke with Andy in November about my brother's headstone. It had come way up in one corner and was sunken on the other side. It was pretty upsetting to see. It had only been 4 years and my heart sank when I saw it. Well, I wanted to give them plenty of time to get it done, so I waited a few weeks, then my husband went out there and facetimed me while I was at work. Not only did they level his headstone and build it up a little, they also did my mom and dad's the same and built theirs up and cleaned them all! I was just filled with happiness that the grounds people went above what I had asked of them. Wow!! These days, there seem to be more people that don't take the time to go out of their way to do something like that, but they did!! I called and spoke with Catherine who thanked me so much for calling and loved hearing what a wonderful job the groundskeepers did. EVERY single person that I have spoken to and dealt with over the many years have been God sent!! They are truly angels on earth at Southpark and I love each and every one of you. The facility is not very large but will allow for a decent number of people. Our family had a little over 100 people and we all were comfortable. There is a large overflow parking lot across the street which is owed by Arteaga to allow ease with parking for those in attendance. We did have a small hiccup with video and audio but they quickly fixed the issue. They delivered our loved one to his final resting place and provided solace and words of encouragement in our family's time of pain. That is priceless.

I asked her if I could come in and sit down because I have bad feet and I was told that I would be able to wait in their waiting room. She told me that I would have to wait in the parking lot with the other people. I told her to shove it up her ass and left.
