This store is a bit pricy but they have a huge variety of Christmas tree ornaments. If you are looking for ornaments then this is your store, but if you're looking for other Christmas decorations, you might wanna go somewhere else. The store owner was the sweetest lady and she carried on a conversation with us. That is not very common. Love my new ornament. read more

I like that this place offers Christmas cheer even in July when it is hot outside. This store is great for bringing happiness and joy that can quickly turn around a sad and stressful day to a day with smiles and good feelings. The store looks nice enough, but it is a little small and there is very limited selection. There were no stockings or tree skirts in sight. What they did have seemed expensive. For example, the Radko ornaments were about $10-$15 more than they are on the Radko website and the Beyer's Choice advent calendars were $12 more here than they were at Neiman Marcus. Went here hoping to land ourselves a Charleston ornament as we were visiting just before the holidays. Oddly, they didn't have any. Instead, they had dozens and dozens of Chinese-quality ornaments, some with Charleston written (yes, by hand) on them. Very disappointed. We were really surprised at not only how expensive this place is, but what little inventory they had available. We visited two days before Christmas, and I would have thought they would have had more to offer in the way of original ornaments. Maybe it was just poor timing and they were sold out since it was so close to Christmas, but for a store that is open year-round, I expected to be blown away. They did have some "name" brand ornaments, created by artists, but the majority were made in China and identical to the ornaments we found at the "gift shops" on Meeting Street. My husband and I visited here on 11/24/12 on our way to dinner. We like to get an ornament of the place we visit for our Christmas tree. This was the only shop I could find. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough? The place was empty except for the lady at the register. She looked like if she heard one more Christmas song she might pull out her hair. Definitely had a crazy eyes kind of look. No greeting whatsoever. We walked all around the store, looking at tons of ornaments, but only saw about 4 different Charleston themed ornaments. I asked and the lady told me they were all she had. I know ornament collecting is not a new thing, so an ornament shop should have a lot of different options for this kind of collecting. We did find one we liked, but I would have liked to see more. read more

This place has nice stuff and the woman who works there is very nice. I was disappointed to find five minutes later the same exact ornament in the market one block away for $5 less. I went to take back the one I got here in favor of the same one for less at the market and they would not return or even match the other price. Holy expensive! This store must have crazy high overhead to price the ornaments the way they do. Simple ornaments were around $20, with a cute, but not super fancy ornament priced at $70. Nothing in the store struck me as incredibly unique, or worth the prices. Owner should expand selection to include lower priced ornaments as well, or consider decreasing prices. read more

There wasn't a lot of inventory in the store and what was there was way overpriced. Found the exact same items they were selling for $19.99 in stores just down the street for $9.99 and $11.99. They would not refund or price match even though we had JUST been in the store earlier that day. Sales attendant was rude. Save your $$ and shop with other stores and vendors who were much more pleasant. read more

I'm in town working on a project out of summerville and decided to drive out to Charleston just to visit this Christmas store, I even called ahead to ask if they had dept 56 villages. As soon as I walked in there were two ladies behind the register who didn't so much as offer me a greeting. I looked around the store by myself for about 10 minutes. Although items were very over-priced there were a few ginger cottage pieces that I was interested in and a kurt adler cocacola nut-cracker. Since nobody bothered to check on me I pulled out my phone and found everything much cheaper on amazon (I bought the nutcracker for $59.99 online and I believe it was over $100 in the store). Before I left I stopped and looked thoroughly through the radko ornaments looking for any signed pieces as they advertised on the front door but could not find any, and again, no assistance from the two ladies. I was wearing black sweat pants and a snoopy t shirt, perhaps I didnt "look" the part. I actually own over 60 Christian Ulbricht and Steinbach nutcrackers, atleast 100 radko ornaments, dozens of jim shore pieces and possible dreams santas, and so many dept 56 buildings I couldn't even count. So my advice to you ladies is don't judge a book by its cover and if Im wrong about the judging part, then atleast offer a greeting and an offer to help if needed to your customers walking through the door. Needless to say I would not come back here. read more
