This daycare is probably the most caring and involved childcare center you could find in the area…read more My daughter started coming here when she was about 5 months old. As a first time mom, I was hesitant to start going back to work and to have her start going to daycare. Mrs. Luni and her wonderful staff set me at ease when I would leave her and I knew my daughter was not only in great hands but also learning and making new friends. I have watched my daughter transition into each classroom as she got older and adjust to her new teachers. Each staff member has always been attentive and have gone above and beyond to let me know how my little girl is doing while I'm at work. As a first time mom, it's so important that you trust the people that watch your children and also work with them to really provide your child all the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. I am so thankful to Creative Minds for being a pivotal piece in my daughter's development and for working with my crazy-obsessive mom requests ( "How much did she eat?" " Did she sleep okay?"). I remember for my daughter's second birthday, Melissa, the assistant director, let my daughters father and I use their break room during my daughter's naptime to start wrapping her gifts and preparing for her birthday party at the school. They even offered to help us and took pictures of the party for us. I have very few regrets in life and one of them was taking my daughter out of the school for a short period of time. When I moved to Westport I had taken my daughter out and placed her in Pumpkin Preschool of Westport. After three months, we came right back to Creative Minds because of how unhappy my daughter was in that horrible school. ( Please do not send your kids to the Pumpkin Preschool of Westport!! they care more about their money than they do about your child's well-being and care). I know better now than to ever make this mistake again. As soon as my daughter started going back to Creative Minds, it was as if she never left. She was smiling again, she remembered the friends she started with in the infant classroom, and we got to work with Luni and her wonderful staff again! Grateful is an understatement for what I feel about everything the daycare has done for my family and I. They have taught me on a daily basis how to be a better mother and to be the best mother I can be to my little girl. There are such wonderful daycares in the Fairfield County area and I'm sure that some of them may do some of the things that Creative Minds will do but if you want a extraordinary care, a daycare you can look at as an extended family for your child's most important years, Creative Minds is it. -Cece

Good evening, I am writing as a deeply angry and disgusted…read moreparent. Today, when I picked up my son Leonardo, I was informed he had SLEPT ON THE COLD TILE FLOOR because he was "hot." That explanation alone is UNACCEPTABLE, but it gets worse. He was WET when I picked him up this afternoon--his hair, his pants, his coat--completely soaked. And when I asked why, not a single staff member could give me an answer. "I don't know" is NOT an acceptable response when a child is returned to their parent in that condition. The lack of accountability, the carelessness, and the indifference are beyond disappointing--they are DISGUSTING. As someone with experience working in multiple daycares and schools, I know that if a 3-year-old refuses to sleep on a cot, you don't allow them to lay on a cold, dirty floor like an animal. You comfort them, you redirect them, and you provide care. The fact that this didn't happen is a complete failure on your part. Even a dog gets a bed. My son deserved far better than this. And yes, I will say it--had Leonardo not been a young Black boy, I believe this situation may have been handled with more compassion and urgency. He was neglected. There's no other word for it. Let me ask you this: How would you feel if you found out your child took a nap on the cold floor? Or picking him up wet and not exactly given an actual clear explanation ? If he was uncomfortable, if he was upset, if something happened--WHY wasn't I called? As his mother, I should have been informed immediately. Instead, he was left in that condition, and no one took responsibility. This is not just poor care. This is unacceptable. This is disgusting. This is neglect. Leonardo will NOT be returning to your center. I will also be reporting this incident to corporate and taking further steps as necessary. I expect a written explanation, not excuses. Do better!!!!! This is my review and what happened to my child

His teachers have been phenomenal and so patient with him. Special thanks to Mariah and Diamond who had him in toddlers, Amy in Twos and Alyssa and Rachel in EP. Our son needed Birth to 3 services and all of the teachers adopted the strategies needed to help our son grow and thrive. They were even flexible with us about our continued enrollment after summer 2023 which gave us options as we planned for our son's transition to Pre-k and allowed us to breath a little. Sarah, your leadership and your leadership team are truly exceptional and I wish you, Alex and Liz continued success.

The only thing I can say about not receiving phone calls is that it can get pretty hectic with all the kids, teachers, parents, etc. trying to speak, pay their bills and collect all their children's supplies / projects. It is unfortunate that not all of the applicants aren't accepted. I can only suggest you give it a try, and hopefully your child will enjoy it as much as my granddaughter & her parents did.

After a tour of the facility back in April for September enrollment we informed Cindy we were interested and she said she'd provide the paperwork to sign up. I gave her the benefit of the doubt after not hearing anything for weeks as I assumed the end of the school year through June would be hectic. I then reach out via email and hear nothing for a few more weeks. After three weeks, I finally receive a call from Cindy informing me the spot had been filled as she was waiting to hear from my wife and I regarding the enrollment. Are you kidding? If that were that case, then why not reach out to us before filling a spot? Why not provide a simple call or email or anything? She says it was our fault for telling her we needed to think about it during the tour as this was on her notes. I can assure you she took no notes during our visit nor did she even remember my child's name when she called. As you tour the facility and speak to Cindy just ask yourself is this person organized? Is the place well run? Again, I can't speak to the care of the children here, but, after this experience I will be sure to keep away. I don't trust a disorganized person to manage the care of my child, the most precious thing in my life. I'll search elsewhere. You might want to as well.

They're still employed after physically harming children. Do not enroll your child. The care my child while enrolled in the twos classroom has been unacceptable. As an educator, your job is to teach, manage emotions, redirect, and provide language to those who do not have it. My child was dealt with aggression by his teachers in the twos classroom. They belittle, mishandle and sometimes ignore the children. I saw on live video, One of the teachers blocked her face with her hand, while a child was crying in front of her. I understand challenging behaviors can be frustrating but it's never your job to apply force to anyone's kid. If your goal isn't to make a difference in the early stages of development, then this is not the place for you and you should not be working with kids of any age group. There are teachers who witness this treatment and do not speak up. The twos classroom consists of Andreana Stevenson, Angelique Clark and Jasmin Cardona. Sometimes Chantal is in these classrooms and she also should not be around children, she has fallen asleep while on the clock. The cameras aren't monitored enough by management, they do not pop into classes enough.

My grandson was bitten numerous times by another boy in his class, in one instance drawing blood. My daughter and her husband complained but the school director, Venetta J., did nothing to intervene in this situation. It turns out this this biter's mother was my granddaughter's teacher. As of the last incident the school's director stated to my daughter that the biter was referred to a specialist (?). My grandson, instead of the biter, was moved to a much younger class (24-month-olds) where he physically towers over the other children and the classroom setting is inappropriate for him. At 3 o'clock in the afternoon the classes merge. At that time my grandson individually was being sent to the director's office to wait two hours until pick-up). The entire sequence of events has the school and director, Venetta J., treating my grandson as though he is the perpetrator and NOT the victim. Please keep I mind most preschools biters are removed from schools after two incidents and that his mother recently was promoted to assistant director. A conflict of interest? The manner of this intervention is totally professional and can result in emotional concerns for my grandson. Subsequently my daughter removed both children has found another school and there is no longer any contact with Noah's Ark Preschool. Please parents be warned! There are still some great teachers left, but they are few and far in between. The daycare director Catherine is great as well, most of the issues happen when one of the associate directors or managers are there. Over the last few months I have had issues with my kid just not being diaper changed because they forgot, them disciplining my older son by having him go to another classroom where he just sits and cries or putting him in the lobby, them not knowing how to handle normal toddler situations, like them fighting over toys/books, they're inflexible if your child doesn't want to sit still and do workbooks so they try and force them to do it. The owners response to that was "your child is detrimental to the learning experience of the other children", even though we had him evaluated by birth to three for behavior and they said he is fine, its the daycare, the owner says she disagrees and did not follow the recommendations b23 gave them for training. My son had a cast on this summer for a leg fracture and the teachers there did not follow his care plan and let him sit in a sprinkler getting his cast wet at 1030am, they did not notice his cast was wet all day and at 530pm when I picked him up I had to take him to the ER to cut it off and it was still soaking wet. The owners response to that was that the 2 teachers responsible have a positive review from another parent, so that overrules my concerns and that she simply had them watch a safety video. They didn't even want to comply with having my child moved to another classroom until I threatened to stop bringing him. Those teachers both still work there and admitted that they purposely didn't follow the care instructions for my son because they 'didn't think it would be an issue' and that 'I am just nitpicky and like to complain a lot'. I would no longer recommend this facility for people. They have a lot of issues they need to work through and they aren't nurturing your kids, they are just herding them. Also be aware they bribe parents with gift cards for good reviews.
