I highly recommend Jerry. He is an honest kind man, who, if…read moreyou approach him respectfully without attitude will go out of his way to look after you and give you a fantastic deal. I bought an exceptionally clean fridge freezer, bar fridge, washer and dryer from him, I wasn't happy with the dryer so he came and exchanged it for something I wanted. If you ask him about products he is intuitive and if he can he will source what you are looking for. I paid upfront and I waited a few weeks for him to source everything I was looking for. I promised him a good review as I was so happy, so please tell him Katherine from Pitt Street recommended him. Also, he is a unique and eccentric personality so please put any prejudice aside, because if you judge this book by its cove you will miss the diamonds! Also he is exceptionally, and I mean exceptionally reasonably priced. I absolutely recommend Jerry.

JL Services is a second-hand whitegoods store on Cleveland St. It is run by Jerry, who exudes a…read moreused-car-salesman sort of vibe. So I was apprehensive when the bf decided to buy a fridge and a washing machine here. The thing is, Jerry's prices are so much cheaper than anywhere else. It can be a bit hard to resist. We bought a fridge + a washing machine here for approx $600. We bargained and ended up paying in cash. Both are second-hand - but clean enough and working (uh ... I had to knock wood when I typed that). The fridge is fantastic, nearly new. We had issues with the washer (broke down the second time we used it), and Jerry proved pretty hard to catch on the phone when we were trying to get it fixed. In the end, some guy came to fix the machine, and he was a dead ringer for Michael Caine. So you've got a used car salesman avoiding your calls, and Michael Caine talking to you, with intense seriousness, about washing machine programming cycles. It was pretty special. I also want to note that Jerry always looked to ME when discussing the washing machine, since obviously, as a female, I had a particular vested interest in this area. Hmm.... Jerry does offer warranties, but they're short (this maybe varies depending on the machine). They also do deliveries... but Jerry expects people to help him carry these little white beasts up stairs. So this is not a hassle-free experience ... My feeling is that Jerry's machines are a bit hit and miss -- you aren't paying much & there is some risk that you'll end up buying a lemon.

TLDR; Poggers store, changed my outlook on life and would return even if given the choice…read more ----- 9/9/2021 BIG uPs to the ol' good fellas in Chatswood, proper banging deals on all the hotttest shit. From toasters to vacuums if you've got a mess to clean up, these guys will sort you out so good. I experienced the most bussin customer service this side of of the Mississippi and i would not hesitate to bring the boys round for a product demo any day of the week. However, it is with the most heartfelt sadness i must explain, the only reason i cannot bestow five stars upon this prestigious establishment is i believe the good guys should rename to "the good people" as show of solidarity and to bring much needed inclusiveness to the franchise. Overall i would rate the store for being as fully sick as they are but with the discriminatory naming practices i can not fully recommend the "good guys" as it turns out they are just "bad boys". PS. Bring back Coffee demos they are pog PSS. I would die for Jason Segel

Last week a 50inch TV was delivered to my flat. I assumed it was a mistake, until my husband came…read morehome and proudly declared it as "a surprise for me, so that I wouldn't have to watch Mad Men on my tiny computer screen". (Note to men everywhere: we see right through this s**t, just like you see through our 'oh, it's a neck massager' schtick. It also didn't help that he purchased an NBA all-access pass.) The biggest problem was, well, its bigness. It was embarrassing. It was larger than the couch we would have watched it from. He didn't seem to mind this, but could see in my eyes (and the telltale steam coming from my ears) that it wasn't worth the domestic disturbance it was about to ignite, so we agreed to return it and potentially *potentially* get something smaller at a later date. Despite the horror stories we read online, The Good Guys were incredible about returning it. Sure we had to drive out to Chatswood, but when we arrived they took it back without question, refunded the amount we paid, and even refunded the $50 charge for shipping. I couldn't believe it - it was like returning something to Nordstrom and it made me go from very, very, very upset to wanting to return it for store credit and buy a few more unnecessarily large appliances that we don't need for our tiny flat. We didn't end up doing that, but I'm sure that if/when we decide on that 40inch, The Good Guys will definitely be the place we head first.
