The reviews are not exaggerating. This is the actual best bakery I've ever been to. We arrived…read morethere like 5 minutes before they closed, and everything looked great so I wound up buying two giant sea salt/chocolate chip cookies, a kitchen sink cookie, a sprinkle cookie, and a small yellow/vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. I regret not taking better photos, but at least I got a quick shot of the delightful cake. It was all absurdly good. I can't get over how fluffy the frosting is and how perfect the cookie textures are. The woman working was also really nice and, despite it being the end of the day, I didn't feel at all rushed or like she just wanted to close up. Here's how much we loved it: My husband and I went there yesterday while on a weekend trip. Today, we had to get back home fast to beat the snowstorm, and we seriously considered just risking it and driving out of our way to go back here. We didn't (safety first, etc) but we've decided to order our wedding cake from this place *and* our wedding favors. Seriously, everyone should go to this place. Everyone deserves this magic in their lives!

I thought the vegan gluten free cookies and magic bar was delicious. Everything looked great. Service was friendly. Overall I'd definitely recommend for treats when in the area!

If there was an emporium for bread, this place would be number 1. Just amazing overall from the…read morecoffee, to the bread and egg sandwiches. It's centered right in the heart of Woodstock and can get pretty busy. The parking isnt the best, so be prepared to walk. If you come on the weekends, be prepared to stand on line outside the door. Other than that, quick, friendly, and great service. The store is small, but nice with plenty of seating in and outside. The coffee is very good and fresh. The egg sandwich was flavorful and well presented.

Luckily there was no line when I visited! Tried 3 pastries:…read morea pecan bun, a plain croissant and a cherry croissant. Out of the three I think the plain croissant was the best. The cherry pastry was quite bready and desperately needed to be heated up. They served it in the paper wrapper it was baked in and it got stuck onto the wrapper. The pecan bun was pretty one dimensional flavor-wise. Just tasted like pecan and sugar. The pecans were candied but were only placed on top, I wish it was incorporated in the roll or something. It really needed another flavor to make this exciting, it was just fine. The croissant on the other hand was buttery and airy-- and it wasn't even heated up! Heated up I imagine it was be 1,000x better. Definitely get a croissant when you're here!

They came into New York City as a pop up stand downtown. I love bakeries. I buy $55 worth of baked…read moregoods because they are too enticing to get just one item. Bakery items are my one of my many weaknesses in life. They are splendid. Everything tastes perfectly delicious and fresh. The pies, the cookies, the muffins, it is all something that makes me wish these folks were in New York City. Then again maybe not because my weight would balloon because of them. This is how good everything I got tasted. This is how you know you have the makings of an amazing bakery. No Linzer tart? No problem. No Hamantashen? No worries. I will be okay without these items here. I truly am going to be excited when their tent rolls back up here soon.

Their baked goods have no flavor, are often stale, and their chicken pot pies are horrid. I just blew $28 bucks on two of them--the chicken was all brown meat and tasted old, there was NO gravy (totally dry) and there were hardly any vegetables. A disgrace. Why would anyone buy your crap when NYC has the best bakeries, possibly in the whole country? GrowNYC: it's time to find a new vendor. New Yorkers are sick of these subpar baked goods at EVERY farmer's market. Get lost, Meredith!
