Fifth, after they did the work, and it was time to pay, Michael suggested that we wait until after we'd had a couple of good rains so we could be sure that their efforts had been successful. I initially contacted Delta Masonry back in June to help reinstall a brick facade on our front stoop and they worked up the estimate right away. They were quick to send a request for down payment and told us they were just a bit behind on scheduling, but that we'd hear from them shortly to get scheduled. We paid our down payment and waited... almost a month later, I called back to check in and was told they were still behind, but that I would receive a call the following week. No call. Waited a bit then called back again; same thing. 2 months later, I still had not received any attempt at contact. No updates, no information, nothing. I called back again and couldn't reach anyone. Left a vm saying they either needed to refund our downpayment or get us on the books. They didn't even have the courtesy of calling me back, I just get a text that says we'll be there Friday, please confirm. I confirm, they come & complete the work, and it looks good (I'll give them that). Their installer has a super colorful vocabulary, so be prepared if you have any Ring footage, or if you are having them complete work on a commercial job with clients around. I think the thing that frustrates me the most is that I waited over 2 months to be scheduled with no effort from the vendor, but I've since been contacted twice for final payment... they reach out when they want something from you, but don't seem to care when you need something from them. On the 3rd visit when I had complained about a stone that was inferior and I told them not to use oxidized from the iron content. When the workers come back out and scratched the surfaced, it appeared gray. They called me a f---ing scammer I was like wow! When I informed Filip the owner about it, his response was there's 2 sides to every story. What does they tell you about the business he runs? I paid $7,500 for shoddy, shifty half ass workmanship. My grandfather was a mason. He would be rolling in his grave if he saw the inferior workmanship. Avoid this Company!

The job involved a full interior drain tile system and exterior dig/waterproofing on 2 sides of my home. I waited 2 summers before writing this review because the effectiveness of their work can really only be gauged over time. This week, we had torrential amounts of downpour that went on all night. Prior to the waterproofing, my basement would have had water seeping in from the block foundation walls, back basement door, and up through the cracks in my slab. I'm happy to report that my basement stayed completely dry. Since this job was done in April 2024, I've only had 1 instance of water. I immediately called Basement Flood Protector and, because their work has a 10-year warranty on the exterior and lifetime warranty on the interior, they came out and immediately remedied the situation. No water since. This was a big job that I did a ton of upfront research on and quoted 3 other big/well-known waterproofing companies. The reason I went with Basement Flood Protectors was: 1) Sales Process: John was my contact at Basement Flood Protector. He did not put on the big sales pitch and presentation I got from 2 of the other companies. He was straight shooting and was clearly the expert in waterproofing, not just a sales person. 2) Responsiveness: Basement Flood Protector answered all my follow-up questions and concerns whereas other companies seemed to dance around some questions. As an example, when asking one of the other big competitors the cost for an exterior dig, rather than saying it's not work they do (or want to do) the sales person verbally quoted me some unrealistic/high number. Another major company completely ghosted after I called/emailed 3+ times to try and speak to someone about moving forward with the job (feel like I dodged a bullet there). 3) The price: They were notably better-priced for the work I wanted done. Hope this review helps someone as waterproofing can be intimidating. I had an excellent experience with Basement Flood Protector.
