In helping a friend to recieve a Death Certificate I came into contact with this incompetent…read moreorganization. Originally we ordered three copies. We called them three weeks later after not receiving the certificates and they said that they had not sent it yet, but would send it that day. A week later we had not received the certificate and called again. They said they had sent it three weeks prior, contridicting what they said before, but then also said they had then ready and would send it that day (which didnt make sense that itd be ready so quickly as before they said it took days to prepare.) They promised to send an additional one as well, which they never did. We needed the certificate asap and so finally arranged for a courier and was later told that they had moved offices and not updated their website. We ended up having to send a second courier. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Unfortunately, we sought the services of this funeral home at the time we needed them when we were…read morein sorrow and grieving the sudden loss of my husband, considering its proximity to our residence. We were assigned to the very incompetent Larry D. Thompson. First of all, we were forced to get their very expensive catering services saying that they don't allow outside food in their premises. The food was awful, the chow mein was so salty, it was just thrown into waste. Secondly, on the viewing day, there was no guest book provided. When asked, Larry said we didn't ask for it. That's a very basic item that should be part of the funeral services package. Then, we were not asked about the "thank you" cards. We ended up designing our own and have them printed. These are services that we are not familiar with. It's the task of Larry to present these things to us. Finally and worst of all, we ordered for some cross pendants to put some ashes of my deceased husband. Before I picked up my husband's ashes from this funeral home, I texted Larry to make sure he had saved some for the ordered pendants. He confirmed he saved some already, only to be advised later and after my husband was interred, that there was no ashes saved for the pendants. This is very disrespectful to the dead and a very unreliable service considering they're are dealing with a grieving family who relied on them to provide the best final services for my husband. Now, the only item that can keep him close to us is no longer available because of this very irresponsible funeral director Larry Thompson.

It didn't take long before someone came to the care home to pick up the body. I requested a funeral director who could speak Chinese as well as most of our guests spoke Chinese. I was delighted to see Alex Huang as he helped with my mom's funeral previously. He explained my options regarding the funeral and worked within my budget. He always replied to my messages in a timely manner. He really took the stress out of this difficult situation. At the funeral, I was pleasantly surprised by the Chinese calligraphy brushes and the brush stand as part of decoration near the guestbook as my father loved Chinese calligraphy.
