I remember I had come across this business when having a Universal annual pass last year. Even after the annual pass expired, they still send me emails on being cast as a background actor on Universal City Walk or now, upcoming t.v. shows that they need audiences for. They pay, of course, CA's minimum wage of $10.50/hr., but not sure if it is whole day rate of $84. I guess just go by whatever the email states. Doing some extra gigs myself, not affiliated with this business; these jobs also tend to sometimes throw in a weird overtime like $147 ($84+$63OT), included within the day rate. Cannot wait to work for them! Within the month of December, I remember seeing an email blast regarding a party/get together for all the people they have cast that year. I worked with A+ Audiences on Judy Justice in February. I was notified I would receive a survey, (which I did) and upon completing the survey I would receive my payment within the following week. It is now April 27th and I still have not been paid out from the background work I performed. I was also aware another darker appearing Woman of color was not paid for her services, though other more fairer skinned Women of color were. I do not advise working for this company at all. So after 2 months of calling and emailing I finally got my check! The crazy part is I actually bumped into an actor I worked with on A+ audiences' during a new gig, and she asked me had I been paid. I said "no" and it was like pure God and luck she gave me the number of one of the workers of A+ who reached and had Jeff pay me. I found out they got my address completely wrong and had to issue me a new check. All in all, work with them at your own risk. You'll be paid but it won't be on time, most likely. read more

I did an 8 hour shift with them for the doctor Phil show back in early August of 2020 and still have yet to be paid for it even with doing the after show survey. I opened a claim against them last year with the CA labour board and will be going into mediation soon. Update to my last review - I was paid, but it took a bit. It was also early/mid-pandemic and they were trying to get this all figured out with minimal staffing. I agree with all the reviews. I don't know how A+ is getting away with "Hiring" people and not paying them as they say they will. I know it happens in this world of ours, but it seems to happen to alot of people. It's a small amount of money but I will persue it because I don't like feeling I was duped. I have no clue how they get so many gigs. They need a class action lawsuit. I will be contacting Dr Phils team as well. I worked August 11th and was never paid. None of my emails were ever responded to but my friend finally got paid a week ago. We were originally told 14 days. In order to stall, a few weeks ago we were all sent an email basically saying they were waiting on Dr. Phils production team to pay. This is why companies don't last. They don't pay. They had us wait in the hot sun corralling is with confusion for hours. I asked two people if I could use the restroom and they said no. After we finally got in I had to demand to someone I use the bathroom and then about 50 people followed me. Then we get it in and everyone is hot and really thirsty and guess what? No access to a bathroom or water none, I asked one of the crew members and she yelled at me no and then I was told we can't leave. They asked us to leave all personal belongings in our car so I couldn't even step outside to try to find water to buy somewhere. So basically for 5-6 hrs people we're not allowed water or food. Really cool. Illegal for sure. It was the worst, I got a migraine halfway through from no water and I will never ever do that again. This is an audience company that casts seat-fillers for various television shows. They only pay $10.50 an hour, even though the minimum wage is currently &12 p/h. They are notorious for not paying their talent on time...they claim 10-14 business days, but there are multiple occasions where it has taken over a month. If you email them asking about payment, you'll receive a nasty response regardless of how polite and professional you were in the inquiry. Finally, one of the main people in the company, Jeff, is a pretty gross human being. He consistently hits on the audience members who look to be about 18 or 19 years old, and has an eye for women who are naive and fresh off the boat.
