We have been to the Santa Monica Playhouse now at least 20 times. We take our special needs…read moregrandson and he loves it. He is 19 now and loves the kid's play as much as he did when he was 3. The Playhouse is located in a great area in Santa Monica and there are a lot of eateries and places to walk. The 3rfd St. Promenade is just a block away. Parking is easy in the public parking lot right across the street, it is for a small fee. All of the kid's plays are great and our grandson has not missed one yet. They also do holiday themed plays. The prices are great, this is one of the last places you can take a kid and not spend more than 18$ a ticket and often less. The staff is the nicest. It is not for profit and the entire staff and actors work for free. They also have Birthday parties. The place is small and adorable you will love it.

It's the first horror to appear at the theater. Due yo the graphic nature and adult content it's 18+. I been communicating with Evelyn vis email snd have been working with George. Both of them so fantastic!!! Our play is part of the benefit series for their "save the main stage" campaign. The actors are phenomenal and been practicing for s month to bring madness with this play,right before Halloween!!! There is a pay parking facility across the street and meter parking up front. Very proud to be part of a little history on the theater world and glad its at the SM Playhouse.

We were enrolled at the school of dance and music before the pandemic but then all classes were being taught online during the pandemic. Unfortunately that didn't work out for us. We saw Sophie dance's old location while we were driving down Wilshire and it was history from there. My daughter tried out for their team and was very excited to join their family. She said she didn't feel the time while she was there. She actually begged to stay longer. Sophie dance isn't just a dance studio but they are a family. The staff there is very personable. They are not afraid to tell you the truth. Their teams are amazing. My daughter learned so much being part of their team. Unfortunately, this year they required more hours which we couldn't commit to but they will always be our first family. If your looking for something for your little dancer then I would definitely recommend this studio.

The teachers are great and make the classes fun and age appropriate. Her favorite part was participating in the recital but she likes all the in class performances as well. So, some people who are reviewing the programming or staff are actually reviewing SMC, not BroadStage or vice versa. I have never attended an SMC performance so I can't speak to their programming or staffing, but BroadStage has very interesting programming & very kind staff. Since BroadStage programming is so eclectic, though, some of it just isn't of interest to me. Different strokes....

Lovely venue but sometimes the artists or productions chosen to take the stage are disappointing…read more I've had the experience now twice of going to a show based on genre and marketing and having to sit through performances that feel like they were brought in to cater to a very specific, very small but obviously inner circle community. Choose wisely what you come for. If your intuition tells you this artist was maybe brought in simply on connections and what community they're a part of then listen to your gut. I say all of this because there are so many deserving and talented productions out there that deserve and would love the privilege of being paid to perform here but to see the opportunities squandered on the same old stories and inner circle artists is enough for me to think long and hard before buying tickets to this theatre again.

I had to comfort her because she was really down, sad, and crying. The owner Stephanie literally blocked my daughter with her arm and told her that she cannot play anymore and that she had to leave. My daughter really loves Jaime's camp and Jamie the instructor. But the owner did not let my daughter play with her anymore. She said it's time for you to go! You need to leave now! Do you know what psychological damages that does to a child. And Her reasoning was: 1. because she has been in here too long and she is too young. (Yet my child is 2 years and 9 months and was approved to be there for the 3 - 6 year old camp by Jamie) the instructor) 2. Because she was too much and there are so many kids to take care of that she can't pay attention to one. If she complains about too many kids to take care of, then why even accept too many kids in the first place. The place is indoors and so small and Stephanie cannot handle stress. She literally breaks down like almost crying. I even was startled by her behavior I couldn't believe it. I was just stunned. If you are planning to leave your kid here just remember that they probably won't be watched.

The Getty Villa is one of the two Getty Museums in Los Angeles County and this location is the…read moreoriginal Getty Museum. The museum started as a small museum gallery in 1954. Later the museum went through new construction with an architectural design inspired by the Villa of the Papyri at Herculaneum and opened to the public in 1974. The Getty Villa moved a portion of its collection to the Getty Center when the center opened in 1997 and the villa focused only on Greek, Roman, and Etruscan art thereafter. The villa underwent a major renovation from 1997 to 2006 and eventually reopened to the public in 2006 as what you see now. The villa was shut down for 6 months to clean up the aftermath of the Palisades Fire in January 2025. [Admission]: Free admission, but visitors are required to purchase tickets online, pick time slots on the website, and show their online tickets upon driving into the villa. [Parking]: Parking is $25 per car or motorcycle and $15 after 3 PM. For evening events, parking is $10 after 6 PM. [What to see - outdoor]: The Outer Peristyle is the main attraction that everyone comes to see with a 220-foot-long reflecting pool. There is also the Herb Garden, the East Garden, and the Inner Peristyle with a small reflecting pool and laurel trees. [What to see - indoor]: The art collection is only two floors and it is all in one building. Greek Art / Etruscan Art are located on the 1st floor and Roman Art is located on the 2nd floor. Some of the highlights include The Lansdowne Hercules (Gallery 108), Victorious Athlete / Youth (Gallery 111), Caeretan Hydria (not currently on display), Mummy Portrait of Isidora (Gallery 210), Sarcophagus with Scenes from the Life of Achilles (Gallery 213), etc. [Guided tour]: The villa offers various free guided tours and the staff recommended that visitors arrive 15 minutes before the tour time. All tours start right across from the gift shop and they are first come first served (capped at 20 people for our tours). The staff gave us one portable Bluetooth audio device per person so everyone was able to hear the guide clearly even from a distance. Our party did the "Exploring the Villa's Architecture & Gardens Tour" at 11:15 AM and the "Art & Site Tour" at 1:30 PM. Unfortunately, I didn't realize there was some overlap between the two tours and our party ended up seeing the Herb Garden twice during our visit. [Cafe]: Can't exactly say I was impressed with the selection. Our party got chickpea hummus & pita for $11.60 and it tasted alright. [Garden Tea Service]: Reservations required - Thursday and Saturday only. Inquire at the information desk. Visitors can book a reservation on OpenTable and the price is $66.95 per person (not including sales tax and an 18% service charge). [Conclusion]: In the end, our party stayed for approximately 5 hours. Overall the Getty Villa is not as good as the Getty Center due to (1) its smaller footprint, (2) its focus only on Greek, Roman, and Etruscan art which I am not as interested in, and (3) too much redundancy in the guided tours. This is a great museum to visit for any first time visitors, but it is hard to see myself revisiting the villa unless there are new exhibits in the future that fit my interests. P.S. - There is a small pamphlet with a self-guided tour highlighting scenes from the Odyssey through various artworks.

She said so many wonderful things about my child being in the program then the conversation took a turn when she told me that in order for me to put my child into the Adderly that I myself would have to sign up for aerobic exercises where she, the Directo, works out. I played it off and we left but this was highly inappropriate and damaging. She would put a child's opportunity at risk due to a parent carrying extra weight shortly after an accident. I would not associate with this organization.
