It's a tradition to stop at an A&W when first getting to Canada since there are none left near me and I really like their burgers. We actually stopped here twice (first time it was next to a gas station so we said why not and going home it was the last one on the way so really had to).
It was quiet my first visit. We tried the Mama Burger with mushrooms. I didn't think it was that good. The onion goo was really salty and yet oddly sweet. Service was nice and very fast.
The second visit we went with the traditional Mama Burger and tried their chicken fingers. It was pretty busy so everything took quite awhile. The Mama Burger was awesome. Just what I expected. We had asked about dipping sauces for the chicken fingers and they said they had ranch. It was jalapeno ranch and really spicy so that was actually an added bonus but I could see not being happy if you don't like spicy dressing. The chicken fingers were really good - huge compared to what you get at fast food places here. No complaints at all about the second meal. read more
