Dunwell Roofing were contracted to fix my roof after a storm stripped most of the slates from the…read morefront, lifted off the top flashing and caused extensive damage to the back (fact) Dunwell roofing did not complete the work to a satisfactory level and were asked back 5 times - every time they claimed they had gone up and "fixed it" however water still came through and there was no evidence they had been on the roof (fact) Mr Bennet put pressure on me to pay the invoice even though I was not happy with his work (fact) Due to continued damage to my flat - because there was water still coming in due to the work Dunwell Roofing carried out, or rather did not carry out - I had to contract a separate roofer (fact) The second roofer was horrified at the work, or lack of it, that Dunwell had carried out (fact). They took photos and I forwarded these to Mr Bennet at Dunwell Roofing (fact). Mr Bennet's response was very aggressive and he blamed previous work on the roof - this makes no sense as the storm damage pretty much stripped the roof and he was paid to fix whatever problems there were, which he did not (fact) When asked for a refund or compensation (I had incurred additional costs due to hiring a second roofer) he became increasingly aggressive and finally unresponsive (fact) Both Trading Standards and the Police were aware of Dunwell Roofing and Mr Bennet before I contacted them (fact). I have forwarded my documentation to them and am happy to share it with anyone else (fact)

When we…read morehad the bad snow in 2010, all the gutters at the back of my house came down with the weight of the snow. As I was in a panic thinking this was a big job Mr Bennett reasured me by telling me it was a matter of putting new hooks on the gutters. I got the Estimate for work to be done the same day and he sent his men out a few days later after most of the snow had gone and done the repairs at a very reasonable price. I came home last night,just to find my front door key would not open my door. I went onto google to…read morefind a locksmith. After trying the first 5 telephone numbers of which most did not answer and one told me " to call back in the morning if I did not get anyone" I called Dyno locks. They were with me in less than 30 minutes and had me in my house within 10 minutes. The locksmith was very friendly, efficient and opened my door with out any damage and to my surprise with out changing my locks. The cost was reasonable considering it was in the wee small hours. If this ever happens to you don't bother trawling through the one that do not answer and call Dyno locks.

Scottish Power, all my dealings with them have been horrific..... Except for today! I put money on…read moremy gas card to top up my meter and all day long i was trying to get the heating to come on. Nothing! So i called up the company to explain what was going on. Usually the calls last for at least 10 minutes before you are put through to a real person, not today within 5 minutes i was talking to someone. After explaining my situation the lady on the phone said that she thought something was really wrong and that i needed to have an emergancy call out. So on hold i went, a few minutes later she came back saying i don't want to alram you but you need to open all your windows, turn off your meter and someone will be at the house in the next hour to see what the problem is. Great i thought although a little worried. I was sitting thinking in the next hour yeah sure i am going to be sitting here all night freezing cold waiting on the gas man. 15 minutes later a knock at the door - Scottish Power. I was in shcok if truth be told. He came in, fixed what had gone wrong, wished me a good day and left. Now i have a nice warm house. Today within 20 minutes of making a phone call my problem was fixed. I have nothing bad to say about the emergancy service of Scottish Power i am one very satisfied customer.
