the people who work here are racist!!! for some reason, i'd showed up early with my husband to his haircut when there was maybe 1 or 2 people ahead of him. i leave and come back and she, not only the people a head of head leaving with their haircut and done but, 3 or 4 people ahead of my husband. something was wrong. the people who were cutting the hair were arabic, talking in arabic and taking their sweet time between haircuts. what they didn't know was, i understood arabic. a short guy and a tall guy who were cutting the hairs of the people (who cut in front of my husband) were saying "your my boy ... you take care of me ... i take care of you ... blah blah blah" my husband is half arabic and half mexican, he told me what was going on while we were outside, he was explaining to me the situation. all they do is talk trash and play their music louder when my husband approach them with a reason why they were taking so long. they didn't care, they'd showed no interest. unprofessional and very racists. my husband tried to reason with them in english but quickly the barber switch languages to arabic. then my husband switched over to arabic and caught those con-artist off guard. my husband got his haircut. it was fast and not even. they'd messed it up after reassuring that they sincerely apologies for the wait and made excuses about appointments n stuff. don't go!!! those guys don't care about the quality of the services but only care about their own inner circle of people. from what i am understanding, the restaurant next door to each side (yo yo and zat) is all family owned and don't care about quality service but only the money. rude. worst experience. those guys are very dehumanizing when i heard them talk in arabic about my husband having his wife there. im sorry but, we own one car and have a family of 3. unlike us, you guys have kids running around there and bumping into barber chairs and screaming their lungs out. great parenting (sarcasm). keep away from this place if you don't want to waste your time, money and look like a fool with a haircut done by an one armed blind man. read more

This is my second time in this salon, first time i did my hair with a stylist called Bushra, I asked her to do Brazilian blowout for me and she did, at first i thought it was good, but I guess i was fooled after 2 or 3 weeks, when my hair started going back to curly so i was really mad about it because she told me it's probably going to stay for at least 5 to 7 months, but it didn't. So i said lets give it another try, I came back to the salon after a month and asked for Bushra so I can tell her about it which was in that case to do it again for me or give me back my money, but when I asked for her they said she was no longer working with them anymore, so there was this Brazilian blowout stylist called Emy, she told me I can do it for you, she started doing my hair and while she was doing it i told her my story, and she was like I'm going to make your hair better than ever, so I trusted her and after she finish, she gave me the products for the Brazilian blowout which they're the shampoo and the conditioner for a really good price, and then the the big surprise was that she told me to come next week for an oil treatment for free. At that moment I was really happy and thankful for what she did for me, So for all of you ladies who wants to do there hair I recommend to come down there and ask for Emy to give you the best Brazilian blowout experience , because for me she's the best. First off, best salon ever! My sister got her hair brilliantly dyed and cut by Bushra, one of the hairstylists at this amazing salon. My sis had gotten her hair bleached by another salon, which we have been going to for 12 years, they had completely damaged my sisters hair in ways that are unimaginable. Every time she would cry, once we left the salon. Yet for the FIRST time, she came out without a single regret, Bushra, with her magical hands had transformed my sisters dry and fried hair into a master piece! Her hands are a work of art! She knew what she was doing. Bushra actually cared for the way my sisters hair would turn out, unlike other salons. Also, one of the male stylists, Tamer, words can't describe the way he knows how to curl and flat iron hair. A&R scissors salon, is by far, the best salon I have ever walked into or heard of. I will never go back to this garbage hair salon I do not trust them with anything now I walked in and a women name bushra told me that she's going to take care of me with my hair so I trusted her and I asked about a color I needed she said that I needed to bleach my hair so I asked is my hair going to be ok? She said yes of course so I trusted her and after I was finished she damaged my hair I will never go to that garbage hair salon and that selfish lady bushra she does not know what she's doing I WOULD NOT recommend her do not even go toward her nor the hair salon they are pathetic! Go and ask for Thabet, he is the man and he will take care of you, no need to explain him too much he will know what's the best style for your features. He has good experience working with hair styles and cut. He also has great customer service. I felt comfortable going to Thabet! Very professional and welcoming. I went to this pathetic hair salon and I was looking for a scissor cut since it's called scissor hair salon I thought it would be very good but it came out to be garbage I got my cut from a guy I think his name was rami he really didn't do a good job left my hair in even he even didn't talk to me plus he kept leaving me and talking to others but that's not my problem he did a horrible job I'm Never coming back!!! Great place, great customer service and great hair cuts. Rami the owner is a professional, I've been going to him for the past year and was satisfied every single time. As for my beard, "your beard is so perfect" is the response I get from people when I have it done at A & R salon. Sometimes when they r busy, they make sure to offer their customers complementary coffee, water, tea....etc. to try and eliminate ur waiting boredom as much as possible.
