PROS + Mike tries to address the cause of the problem. I have lost a total of 7 fence posts in the past 5 years because they rot. Mike used the Rotbloc Wrap to prevent the posts from rotting under the ground. + Mike was able to give me a free estimate and repaired my face. There were delays but he did it in the end. I tried to get a quote from big names in town, but I couldn't. CONS -Both times when I hired Mike, there was a problem with details, some big, some small. First time (2019), his crew fixed my fence but didn't do a good job. He had to come back to fix it himself. Second time (2021), I notice that one of the posts was longer and a few of them were shorter than other posts. He fixed the post that was too long, but there was nothing that could be done with the two posts that are too short (by about 6 inches). ADVICE *Make sure to inspect the site when they are done to make sure everything looks good. *Get quotes from other contractors. I found out later that a Yelper friend of mine in town hired a different contractor and paid less than half of what I paid. I could be comparing apples and oranges, but both he and I had 4 posts replaced in January 2021. Send me a private message if you want to know who my Yelp friend used. *Pay cash/check. There's a 3.9% processing fee for credit card payments. Overall, I'm happy with M & M, and I think I will use them again. His price was very reasonable and he was up front on the work needed. We ended up doing a lot more work to the house with Mike since the work he was doing was great and we were happy. I need them to finish some other areas left half finished by the contractor as well. If a contractor who does your roof only interleaves new shingles over valleys in the roof but does not put a vapor barrier down underneath it with a metal cap or cap the edges of the roof with 3 inch layer of metal, you are being screwed over! I have seen many new homes built this way and they will all need to be serviced at some point because of it. These do not comply with best practices in roofing or the building codes for the county, most importantly of all these are improper means of building a roof in the PNW, one of the dampest and most snow laden areas of North America. The ELM owners were very responsive and this was important since we were unable to "supervise" the project due to work and other responsibilities. Betheny and Cynthia made sure I was informed, everytime a worker was about to arrive. There was plumbing, electrical, Drywall, a difficult floor removal etc. Some of the team members had run businesses of their own, but preferred to have En Christo take care of the Biz end of things, so they could just work, and they were happy with the arrangement.
