I called at 2:00PM and they were here at 3:00 PM for the move. The man was so accommodating and very careful with all of the furniture, they wrapped everything and took it off after relocating it. They were efficient, professional, had all needed equipment for the move and listened to directions on the placement of the pieces. I have moved over 17 times in my life and this was the best experience of all. The men are respectful and friendly.

In the end, it was Square Cow's overly confident answering service that convinced me to go with them. Big mistake. I hired them to move a large bedroom set from a second-floor bedroom to the garage--something I clearly communicated was not a simple task. I had over four phone calls, sent multiple photos, and explicitly discussed the risks and challenges involved. Each time, I was told everything was "in the notes" and the movers would be properly equipped with straps and the right tools. I even spoke directly with the operations manager the day before the move. He reassured me--again--that his crew would be fully prepared. He even advised me not to purchase additional insurance, claiming it was an easy job and not worth the extra cost. Then moving day arrived. The crew showed up completely unprepared. No straps. No proper equipment. Within minutes, they dropped the first piece of furniture, severely damaging it. The rest of the move was borderline reckless. The crew themselves admitted that Square Cow doesn't provide them with tools or care about their safety--or the customers' belongings. According to them, "Square Cow only cares about making money." After my experience, I believe it. I filed a damage claim, and now I'm stuck in their slow, unresponsive process that may take up to 90 days to maybe--maybe--get a fraction of what the damage is worth. Bottom line: they talk a good game on the phone, but they have zero follow-through. The left hand has no clue what the right is doing, and they clearly don't equip their crews to do the job safely or professionally. Their so-called claims department is a joke. Don't fall for the sales pitch. There are better, more honest companies out there. Square Cow Movers is not one of them.

    There were red flags I ignored and shouldn't have. We called twice and got two different rates…read morewithin the same day. 100/hr cash 120/hr card first rate we received, these rates hiked up to 135 cash 175 card. We did a video call so they can give an estimate, we never received an estimate. The movers came to pack move and unpack. They didn't know they were supposed to be packing/unpacking. I had to call and confirm instead of them. They left my front door wide open and never turned the gate back on so if I hadn't gone back for cleaning supplies my door would've been left open over night. When I told the only guy who spoke English he said "I wasn't the last one out" no apologies just a lazy answer. They never unpacked properly. I started unpacking the kitchen, so they had an idea of where things went. They didn't try, they just unpacked random stuff and threw it in places. Appliances were disassembled which could have easily been put together. My cake stand was in two thrown on the counter top with a box over the glass in an unsafe manner. They said they were scheduled to come back tomorrow and when I called to complain about how the place left they said the job was done and I should've said something before they left. I told them they should leave instead of waiting for me to return after picking up my daughter they told me had to pay. Which understood I'll pay for the day, but the packing job was not done. These are scammers. It's been a long time since I dealt with a business like this but this one beware.

Before even receiving a formal invoice or contract, I was asked to send a deposit upfront -- which felt unprofessional and risky. Only after pushing back did I finally receive the basic terms in writing. The movers then showed up over two hours late, arriving at 4:06 PM, with no clear communication about the delay. This caused unnecessary stress for my mother, who was left waiting, and completely threw off my plans for the rest of the day. Despite the delay being on their end, they refused to waive the third hour, which felt inconsiderate. On top of that, I was given two Zelle payment methods that didn't work. I eventually had to use an email address to send the payment, which added another layer of stress to the process. The movers themselves were professional once they arrived, and I appreciated their effort -- but the communication and handling on the business end left a lot to be desired.     Disappointing Experience with Inflexible Policies…read more I had a very disappointing experience with this moving company. I reached out to them for a move and placed a deposit as required. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide the services I needed, but despite that, they refused to refund my deposit--stating their policy only allows refunds if they are late. This kind of rigid policy makes absolutely no sense when the company cannot meet the customer's needs, regardless of whether it's a last-minute change or not. Life happens, and reputable businesses understand that flexibility is a part of customer service, especially in an industry where schedules and logistics often change unexpectedly. What's even more frustrating is that they refused to take any responsibility for the situation. They treated it as if it was entirely on me, rather than acknowledging that they were unable to deliver the service as promised. Other moving companies I've dealt with in the past have been far more understanding and customer-oriented--willing to refund deposits when they can't meet the agreed-upon terms. I would not recommend this company unless you're 100% certain your plans won't change and you're willing to risk losing your deposit even if they fall short on their end. There are plenty of other movers out there with fairer and more customer-friendly policies.

They arrived exactly as scheduled and worked quickly while taking great care with our belongings. They provided TV boxes, mattress covers, and wrapped all furniture to ensure nothing was scratched or stained. They even helped combine smaller boxes into larger ones and made sure nothing was left behind. The team disassembled all our furniture for transport and reassembled everything upon arrival, placing each item and box in the exact rooms we requested -- even positioning furniture and wall art just the way we wanted. They were meticulous and organized in both loading and unloading. They also transported one of our cars in an enclosed trailer for a very reasonable price. Best of all, Ricky and his team were cheerful, polite, and helpful from start to finish. After a long day of loading, driving, and unloading until nearly 2 a.m., they still had the same positive attitude they had when they arrived that morning. This is hands down one of the best moving experiences we've ever had. I highly recommend Ricky Discount Movers without hesitation.

They had 3 guys and I ended up paying $240 ($40 extra) bc I had them move 2 other couches around to make space for the main one. We may have overpaid but they did a good job.
