I got multiple quotes and DFD had the best price, the best sales person/consultation, and showed me…read morethe best looking flooring options I saw out of any of them. It was a no brainer to choose them. When it comes to the work itself, the craftsmanship was very good, the cuts are so clean and everything looks amazing. They did very fast work without sacrificing quality. The only areas for improvement I would say they could have are: - Communication during the days of the project, so you know without having to ask when they are coming, leaving, what the progress is, etc. - Ensuring when they put furniture and things back that they pay attention to things like hooking up HDMIs back to the correct places - Doing a better job of cleanup -- they left behind a TON of dust coating everything, sawdust in my basement that I presume blew in from leaving the garage entrance open where they were working, cans/water bottles left behind - Building in measurement/space for lower flooring to not leave a gap in the trim; they came back and did some caulking after I had a water/rain issue, but it still doesn't look as good -- I wish that their molding/trim solution filled the big gaps and I'm going to have to find a way to do that myself To their credit, they were very fast and responsive when I had a water issue and came back out the next day. I also had a crack in my basement ceiling where something pounded through or pounded the drywall loose from the flooring above being done, and they credited me enough money back to be able to have my handyman fix it. Overall, I would definitely use DFD again.

They removed carpeting in our dining room and formal living room and in our upstairs hallway, they replaced all this area with new hardwood, they sanded all existing hardwood (kitchen, family room, bathroom, closets, and downstairs hallway) and sealed all to match. I am literally in love with our new floors! Bruce showed up when he said he would. And, once I picked floors it turned out that they were comparable or a bit less than other companies. K&K was able to take up old engineered hardwood and install new engineered hardwood in my entire condo in just three days. The staff worked hard, but with care, right down to placing furniture on cardboard so it wouldn't damage my new floors, and vacuuming up wood scraps at the end of the day so my cat wouldn't get a splinter. When it turned out my dishwasher was leaking, they even helped me remove it so we could put new floors under it. Overall, I would 100% recommend this company. Their extreme level of craftsmanship and attention to detail truly speaks for itself, and the final result delivered tremendous actual value--not just aesthetically, but in outstanding quality and durability. Their design specialist, Han, efficiently explained all the proper materials needed to complete the project. And this was no small project....an entire (freshly painted) home to inlcude carpet, refinish wood flooring, and adding LVP. His expertise, attention to detail, and organization made the process seamless and gave me confidence that every detail was being handled with care. Benny, the owner, went above and beyond by personally double-checking the contract, verifying the quantity of top-shelf materials needed, and even surveying the home himself as a courtesy. That level of involvement and commitment to excellence is rare and greatly appreciated. Edward completed the work with a remarkable eye for the finishing touches, and ensured everything came together flawlessly. His precision and craftsmanship were evident in every corner and truly elevated the final result. What certianly stood out just as much as the work itself was their outstanding and transparent communication. Every step of the process was clearly explained, timelines were realistic and honored, and any questions we had were answered promptly and honestly. If you're looking for a team that delivers exceptional results while making the entire process smooth and stress-free, without question or hesitation, we highly recommend Custom Floor & Design.
