One of the best nail salons in Bristol. I'm glad they are now using disposable plastic covers in their pedicure basins. The employees are friendly and ask how short you want your nails cut instead of just doing it and cutting them too short. You can bring your own nail polish or choose from their huge selection of polishes. I absolutely love the massage chairs. I sit and get a massage while watching TV on one of their TV's. I pay $25 for a spa pedicure, so worth it. I've been coming here for years and love the Owners, especially Anna. This is a family business, their Daughters work in the salon and do a very good job. They do stay busy but they try really hard to keep you from having to wait too long. I highly recommend this place! read more

I usually have an appointment with Ana and she's great! This last visit I had an appointment set with her but for some reason I was set up with Kenny and it was a HORRIBLE experience. I've never had my nails and finger tips burn as much as they did with him. Every single one of my cuticles were left bleeding, some in multiple places. The whole time he was telling me how the color and shape were ugly. If I said 'that hurts you're hurting me' he would tell me to just relax. Some nails have his fingerprints imbedded in them because he didn't allow them to cure. On some nails the polish isn't covering the nail, some nails have so much polish on its over flooded and under my nails. At one point after curing them he filed the tops and just put a top coat over so half of the polish is gone. Overall horrible experience I could keep going. I tried messaging the place and talking with someone but I was left on read. Pictures (if I'm able to post) are the Saturday after I left and the morning of Tuesday after they had stopping being so sore. read more

I was there yesterday and was very pleased with my results! I loved the service, they got me in the chair quickly. I got acrylics on my fingernails w paint, red with a black french tip. There are spots missed in the paint, but that's completely fine. The way the area looks is amazing, sure it may smell like chemicals, but it's a nail place, nothing else to expect lol. My sorority sister and I dropped by to get our nails done for graduation. We both got a full set of acrylics with gel polish. The service was excellent and my nails look amazing! We waited for quite some time (around 20 min), but the couches are super comfy and it was worth the wait. I definitely recommend this salon! Not impressed. The smell of acrylic is overwhelming. There is a lot going on in this place. The bathroom is also the laundry room and you can plainly see residue and nail pieces on the washer and dryer. I forgot to get the guys name that did my pedicure, but, I just know he was terrible!! Rushed through the whole thing, cut my toenails so they were pointed at each side and looked horrible, used a callus razor (without even asking if I wanted him to do so) and it felt like he was scraping half my foot off. I ended up having to grab the nail file from his table and fix them myself. He also quickly filed my fingernails with a rough file and I had to fix those as well. Not to mention, when I first sat in the chair, there were implements from the previous person still sitting in the basin. I had to wait for someone to come and clean it out. My horrible French tip pedicure and simple polish change was $37. Ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! read more

I came back to A&K because my first experience was pretty good. The service I asked for was a fill in. I had one nail that had fallen off, so I expected it to be around 30. The older gentleman was nice enough and he worked on filling them in and we discussed the length and color etc. I had a few concerns about a nail or two during the process, he told me he wasn't finished and to "stop looking at them". After he was "finished" he said it would be 41 for total (which might as well be a full set) I paid it, gave him 5 bucks tip and got to the car.... well they were completely uneven some more than a quarter inch longer on one hand. ‍ So I went back in to show him and ask for it to be corrected. He argues with me, tries to move my fingers to make them even! He was frustrated w me for his faulty job, and I wasn't angry I just wanted them correct hence the 46 dollars I spent for professionalism. Anyhow, I'm not begging and I'm not going to be treated like an idiot either. Probably will NOT be back. ‍ read more

Owner is extremely rude. I came in to get a pedicure and she had me wait up front. No problem at all until she took three people that had came in after me first. When she finally got to me I told her what color I wanted and she started yelling at me saying that wasn't an actual color they offered. What?? Then made me get out of the pedicure chair three more times to pick a different color. It was humiliating and embarrassing and she made me feel stupid because she couldn't find her own color that she offers. Also, it is so unsanitary, and if you speak up about an issue you are met with hostility. Will never go back. read more

They're mostly all the same shade of a color or you may not even find the color you want. I will go ahead and say that a regular manicure is $10. I waited a hour just to get 1 nail fixed and they let 3 other people that came in after me go in front of me for full manicures,after over a hour of waiting I finally I got to get my 1 nail fixed and it took 46 minutes for 1 nail. The guy doing them got up about 10 times,And at one point started working on somebody else's nails. As well as me not being able to understand him he was also talking so very quietly that I could not hear nor understand him. After I finally got my one nail fixed I decided it almost looked better before they fixed it (it was a entirely different color then the rest of them). I debated on leaving this review but after the experience my daughter & I had at this place today hopefully I can help someone else from wasting their time & money. I couldn't see how bad the gel polish looked until I got out side. You could still see the last color of polish I had on my nails in places, there was really thick spots of polish on my nails and some places had very little polish. I basically paid to have them done only to come home and soak it off. Not only that but if your going to have your high school aged children polish clients nails then I think you should at least look over the work they do on a client before they leave. read more

We have been to this salon before and gotten okay service. This time, it was a horrible experience. Took my daughter in to get her nails done for prom. She wanted a simple full set painted white. The guy put on tips, and then got mad when she said she wanted a full set, and asked if she could get them painted white. He said to her, in clear English, that she "pissed him off." He said he wasn't from America, was from Mexico. Ummm, he wasn't speaking Spanish. He was rude and hateful, and came to me to get his payment. He had my daughter in tears. When I called them, the lady who owns the place sort of apologized and said she would call me back. I don't care if she ever calls me back, we will not be going back ever. read more
