Beyond that, I have been benefitting a ton from the initial consultation and pt with Ghyslain! He's awesome to work with, like genuinely knowledgeable, very experienced, professional and fun to be around. The way he honed in on exercises that I needed and the little tweaks he makes to form while I'm lifting is incredibly helpful. I feel like I've been learning a lot from him and plan to continue the pt at least until the end of the month! I've made it to a couple of classes so far and have really loved them too (including Natalie's hot yoga!!). I think once I get more comfortable and a bit stronger from the workouts I'm learning in pt then I'll start making it to more of the classes and more frequently. Thank you again for being so welcoming and accommodating for us throughout the signup process!

It doesn't end there, if you're there around lunch time, you can get yourself a delicious smoothie, power bowl or a margarita while soaking in the sun, sitting under a cabana or a beach chair. Literally does not get any better. Everytime I hit the gym feels like vacation. I love their classes, access to the plunge pools and all their amenities like eucalyptus cool towels. Not even Lifetime offers that and they charge an extra $150 for their monthly memberships. Shout out to Jared for setting me up.

I took myself on a little gym tour, trying to find a good replacement and though all the options were so much better than my former gym, North Park Fitness really stood out to me! The person working there when I came in for a little tour was very kind, I never felt pressured to join, he answered all my questions, and then has continued to recognize me ever since. It just felt very personable! He also took the time to make sure the gym would meet my needs and even offered to ask him any time if I ever needed help using a machine I was unfamiliar with. I love how clean everything is, and I notice how on top of it they are at fixing anything broken. In the year I've gone here, my favorite machine has had a rip in the seat twice and both times it was fixed within a few days of me noticing it. I appreciate that they fix things even when it doesn't affect the mechanics of the machine! They also have a huge variety of equipment, more options than when I was at my former gym that was much bigger. The only complaints I have, in my opinion, are not easy to change with a small, local gym in North Park. North Park Fitness can't change the parking options, that's a North Park problem. It is a bit pricey, but again, that's a North Park problem. I also researched and found a couple other small gyms near the area that were much more expensive, so I appreciate not having to pay hundreds of dollars each month at North Park Fitness!

The split between the upstairs and downstairs areas can be inconvenient depending on the workout but it's mostly fine. I've been dropping in here for almost a year, and the front desk staff has always been friendly and helpful with me. My interaction with the owner today, however, left me feeling really put off. First, he gave me a hard time about the drop-in rate and was telling me about some personal trainers trying to sneak clients (I wasn't sure if he was suggesting I was trying to do that but it made me feel uncomfortable). Later, he asked me to not drop my bb on the lifting platform while deadlifting because it's too loud (I've always done that, that's what the lifting platform is for...). I couldn't help but to feel like I was being patronized because I am a woman. I've trained at many gyms over the years. This was the first time I've felt treated with so little regard as a client. I've liked this gym before but I won't be coming back again.

Ryan Kennedy is the personal trainer I see at 360 degree fitness. Ryan is motivational, inspirational and very dedicated to seeing you succeed. This is the first time in my life where I really want to go to the gym and work out and am not dragging my feet waiting for it to be over. I've worked out with trainers before, but no one compares to Ryan. He can articulate which muscle you are working and why. The routines are never the same and are always designed for your personal needs. He always check to see if you have any soreness or injuries and tailors/adjusts anything as needed. I have been going for about a year now (though inconsistently at times as I travel quite a bit for work) but I have gained strength, toned up and even dropped numerous dress sizes. I am so happy with the results and look forward to continued achievements! Because the trainers are so skilled they train everyone from people on the US Olympic bicycle team or military personnel to people recovering from injuries or everyday joes like myself looking to be healthier etc I highly recommend 360 fitness.

Located inside the Carte Hotel with two floors of state-of-the-art everything...plus reserved parking across the street (a miracle in Little Italy). The staff? Superstars. It's got indoor/outdoor turf, a pool, a hot tub, and equipment that looks straight out of a sci-fi movie. It's high-tech yalls! Views of Downtown and Little Italy? Chef's kiss. They've got eucalyptus steam rooms, fresh towels, spacious lockers and showers, and even grab-and-go drinks and snacks. I basically never want to leave. Group classes are where it's at: yoga, HIIT, dance, and even reformer Pilates (yes, I feel fancy). Booking through the app is a breeze. The gym is always clean, never overcrowded, and yes people wipe down machines. Germaphobes, rejoice! Worth it? Because health is wealth and this place makes fitness feel like luxury. I called to get more information on their program and tell them what I was looking to work on. Unfortunately the owner was on vacation and distracted when he took my call. We still managed to communicate. I came in for information session and decided to join later. I bought the 10 class package which included nutrition guidance. Alright here it goes: The good: Small intimate gym. Their good at what they do. Good personal trainer, shout out to Kamila! I learned a lot about my body, strength, muscles, lack of strength in 10 sessions. I now have enough information to workout properly on my own. I had a couple injuries and they managed to work around them- again very competent staff. The price per session is on the lower end for the area. The bad: They don't have easy/modern scheduling system. One day I showed up and had no trainer! there had been some miscommunication over coverage which goes back to my previous (point). It can get crowded with even just four people and loud depending on the day. Never received nutrition guidance, I reached out a few times and felt like I was chasing the owner. They don't wipe machines/mats before use. In the end you can do a lot with a little bit, but it shouldn't be at the inconvenience of clients. $85 per session is not a little bit of money. They definitely need some updates on how they operate and schedule clients sessions.

I worked with Richard at Hawk Fitness for 9 months, and it was an absolute game-changer for me…read more When we started, I could barely lift 10-pound dumbbells for bicep curls -- and by the end, I was curling 30! I went from doing zero push-ups to knocking out 40 classic push-ups in a session. My leg strength also shot up, which really showed in my Peloton rides at home and Spark Cycle classes. Aesthetically, I finally saw my lower back slim down, and overall, I just felt stronger in every way. From day one, Richard was super personable and easy to talk to. He made me feel completely comfortable trying new exercises (which can be intimidating), and he had a knack for knowing when to push me to the next level or when to dial it back for safety -- all without ever making me feel like I was failing. I've never worked harder in the gym, yet I've also never had more fun doing it. This gym -- and this level of personal service -- is an absolute gem. Sadly, I had to move out of state, and in searching for a private gym, NOTHING has come close to what Hawk Fitness offers, rates included. If you want results and a trainer who will cheer you on every step of the way, you can't go wrong with Richard at Hawk Fitness
