The scope of the project was a planned remodeling of my master bedroom and master retreat which included new flooring throughout, new lighting fixtures, painting, and installation of a new electric linear fireplace. I was impressed by Sam on our initial phone communications- he was extremely professional and offered many suggestions that we ultimately included in the final project. After we signed the contract, he started work on the exact day that he had promised, and he and his team worked every day until it was completed. They actually finished a bit earlier than stated on the contract! Each of Sam's workers were very respectful of my property, and always left the work area very clean. Throughout the process, Sam showed a particular attention to detail that I truly appreciated. He has a good eye for color, and helped me to pick out colors for my walls, flooring and fireplace tile that really complement each other. Sam and his team constructed a wall length framing for the fireplace that truly exceeded my expectations. The finished product is simply breathtaking! Sam and his team will be returning after the holidays for the 2nd phase of the project, which will transform the master retreat into a custom designed walk in closet. I am certainly looking forward to working with Sam again!

I can't say enough about Joel Braun Construction and his team! My parents are elderly and…read morehave been in and out of the hospital for the past 6 months. They have not kept up their home at all, for many, many years. My parents noticed tiles that had fallen off the bathroom shower wall making the shower unusable. The other shower had been out of commission for years due to a plumbing leak. My parents were showering at the gym once a week. Joel came out within a few days after we contacted him and provided a detailed estimate within a day or two which was more than fairly priced. He followed up with us and was called back to the house a few times, to go over the quote and the project with my parents. He was understanding of the situation and spent a lot of time making sure they understood everything, pointing out where everything would go and drawing pictures. He was not pushy and had a lot of patience. The project quickly grew from two bathrooms to two bathrooms with a complete expansion of the master bathroom by reworking the walk-in closet, removal of wallpaper on walls and ceiling, paint of master bathroom, carpet removal, and refinishing hardwood floor. We decided to go with Joel. He was able to start within two weeks. Knowing that he was working with older people, he not only provided my parents with places to get the hardware (plumbing supplies, tile, vanity, paint ect) but he even called to make appointments for them and joined them at the appointments for guidance. If my parents could not make the appointments, he went out of his way to make sure they had choices to choose from. He dropped off a color sample of the vanity and also did a lot of the leg work that my parents couldn't do, which was greatly appreciated. The project was going smoothly. Joel consistently sent updates and pictures of the progress and communicated well with me. Then, when I went to the house to meet with Joel, I noticed the half bathroom downstairs had a water drip. Thats when I convinced my parents to renovate the half bathroom. It didn't prolong the original project. He demoed the bathroom and used the leftover tile and paint from one of the other bathrooms. He went and purchased ALL the supplies, hauled them back to the house and had it done by the timeframe. He finished the project on time and made everything as easy as it could be. He even referred a cleaning service, duct cleaning service, and carpet shampooing service. The finished bathrooms are gorgeous! They did a great job. I would highly recommend using Joel Braun Construction.

I've spent what's probably an excessive amount of time shopping around for kitchen cabinets for my…read morenew home, comparing models and prices from various websites and showrooms. Unfortunately, I've worked with a few kitchen showrooms or websites that either clearly did not value my business or drew out a design full of extra (expensive) features that I did not ask for, thinking I would not notice. When I came to HM Cabinetry, I did not have an appointment but after looking at a few brands and models, sat down with Tamaz and he drew up a kitchen design for me based on a diagram of my kitchen that I had with me, and offered a quote based on a mid-grade brand and model the showroom carries. Of course I had to give some more thought to one of the most expensive upgrades to my house, so I took a little time to keep on looking. A couple of weeks later, I emailed asking for a few modifications on the design he made, and a quote based on this new design, but with another brand. Tamaz gave me a call and suggested a different brand instead, which was better quality and had better customer service yet available at the same price. He also pointed out that I'd need a different refrigerator cabinet size as the one I chose was too large for the refrigerator I'd be using with it. I was then sent a diagram and an estimate with an itemized list of each cabinet. Once the quote was approved and the items paid for, the order was quickly placed. Although most people probably purchase pre-assembled kitchen cabinets, I opted to get unassembled. I'm not sure if all of their cabinet brands are also available unassembled, but make sure to ask so you will be quoted accordingly. Also, as a helpful tip, from what I gathered from speaking with Tamaz about the different brands of cabinets they sell, it appears that on the HM Cabinetry website, the brands are written in order from cheapest to most expensive, although all of the brands they sell are made of good materials. Although the prices on the website help serve as a guide, make sure to ask for a quote because every kitchen is different, even if yours measures (more or less) 10x10' like mine does. I appreciate how HM Cabinetry allows customers to arrange their own delivery if they'd like. They'll give you an order number and a contact phone number to make the process easier for you. You'll need to arrange pickup directly from the brand's warehouse instead of from the showroom, but if you choose to have HM Cabinetry handle it for you, the rates, at least, from what I was quoted, seem pretty reasonable. Just keep in mind that the delivery will be to your curb and the cabinets won't be brought into your house, but that is how all trucking companies operate (unless you hire a moving company) and not HM Cabinetry's fault. In case you need help, the weekday hours are pretty convenient for 9-5 workers so long as you work nearby (they close at 6 on weekdays) plus they're open on Saturdays until 6, and they're quite accessible by phone and email.
