A very nice man named Anthony helped me from start to finish! He requested photos of the issues, and from them gave me advice on what to do. A few other plumbing services contacted me, too, and all gave the same advice. I went with Anthony because he got back the fastest & was trustworthy from the start (and also the company had stellar reviews on Yelp). Through the week we arranged the item I needed, I paid for it to be picked up at the Home Depot convenient for him. It was over 100lbs & I am truly grateful Anthony handled pickup & delivery. Come Thursday Anthony & his associate Miguel arrived to my home & brought the unit up my stoop + two flights of stairs, and swapped my old commode out for the new one within two hours! I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism, knowledge, care & work Anthony & his people afforded me. They saved Christmas! Bless you, Anthony & Miguel! I was very surprised at the very lax/vague statement of work, the proposed price tag of $25,000 and the fact that when I wouldn't sign at 9:00 PM, the quote paperwork was taken away. I ended up with a master plumber who determined the cause and repaired the pipes for a fraction of the proposed amount.

Got a call back very quickly saying they were on their way and would arrive in about an hour. Anthony arrived with another gentleman, Dom, on time and they patiently listened while I explained what was going on and what I tried. Anthony told me they'd first try to snake the drain and if that didn't work, there was another procedure with a water jet. I appreciated him being upfront about the fact that the first thing they would try may not work in order to set expectations. Decided to go with the snaking and Anthony let me know the price and proceeded to do the work. They were very thorough, spending about an hour working on it and testing it. By the end of the snaking, everything was working without an issue! Throughout the work, Anthony and Dom were extremely pleasant. They took extra care to ask if it was okay to move things onto the counter or if I wanted any extra protection on the floor. The great work, attention to detail, and general pleasantness mean I'll be calling Downtown Plumbing anytime I need a plumber.

Well NO- plumbing isn't my kitchen cabinet is chipped. For goodness sakes, it's a NECESSITY! Plumbing is an emergency, for crying out loud, the entire bathroom is not only out of order but that darn flooding is not going to wait until tomorrow morning! So for those who advertise they are 24-hours, please remove that line and state your stinky accurate hours. Pun.) Well, enough of that diatribe - I wanted to say that this place absolutely delivered. It was late evening and terribly sorry to really burden anyone who has to go dinner or a home to go to - but this was serious and we were in absolute dire need for help. The professional plumber came to inspect and in few minutes, started the job. The cost was provided right after few minutes of inspection (so no funny business on that too.). Plus it was reasonable so we gave a good tip for being so accomodating, considering it was late. And yes, many can argue that they sign up for this job, for its risk and odd hours - got that. Again, the gripe here is that many of these companies put it out there like they are up and ready to come, when most of them say "sorry, it is too late". Oops, sorry to digress again. Focus. I am highly recommending this business based on the experience with one professional. Left no mess and was very good at keeping things tidy. Also very informative and provided suggestions on our next steps. It wasn't even an hour (because many of these licensed individuals charge by the time, so they would belabor the job at times.) I did apologize for the late hour, but was so thankful. The professional was very understanding and kept saying it is okay. Therefore, 5 stars for this business, but 10 stars for the person who came to save the day.

Another plumber referred by a friend came and took a look after and safely assessed that the water heater was still working and safe to use and he re-lit the pilot light for me for $75.
