Was in town visiting a friend and I wanted to try a new place. I ordered a burger the first time I went, it was pretty good. The fries are awesome. My second time, I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes. It was so delicious. I also ordered a horchata. It was my first time having one and it was absolutely delicious. The food is made pretty quickly and they do have a busy time. Placed an order over the phone, was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Received order 40 minutes later. All food was cold, and it was obvious it had been sitting around for quite a while before I was called to the window to retrieve it. I only ever get the green chili cheeseburger (if you're visiting New Mexico and you don't get hatch chile on your burger, what are you even doing here?) and it is perfection. The patty is cooked just right with a little char, the condiments are in the perfect ratio. There's just a touch of heat from the chile. A+ burger. I just finished one and I'm kind of sad it's over; I only get 1 or 2 a year. They make them to order so be prepared to wait 15 minutes; this is slow fast food. But worth it. read more

Hey man, if you are in truth or consequences New Mexico and you need a quick bite to eat at a local family run burger and drive-through place this is it . The service was great. It's mostly just teenage kids working back there, but they are attentive and very kind. There's no ambience whatsoever to speak of you pull up. I am not sure who is keeping this place open. But today we gave it a try a regular cheeseburger and a grilled chicken sandwich is all we ordered. The burger my son had was dry & crumbly. My chicken sandwich could have definitely been better! Chicken overcooked dried out, lettuce very scarce and wilted looked a small piece of a tomato NO PICKLES when I specifically asked for EXTRA PICKLES. Portion sizes are big- like I could have shared the burger and sundae with someone. The bacon was thick, and crispy (YES!!!) The wait time was decent- no one wants a totally Raw patty. Food was ok but for what we got it was very expensive. I think the person at the window overcharged us. We were charged 14.00 for 4 tacos.

You know in my many years on Earth I've done a LOT of travelling, from state to state for business and pleasure. A few cross-country moves and everything in between. And previously I would just swing through any fast-food chain type joint for a quick burger & back on the road I'd hop. However, with age comes wisdom, or so they say. I'm not sure who the "They" are, but THEY still say that. Anyway, now I find myself plotting a course, a-la Mr. Sulu, and taking note of where I'll dine along the way. So after reading how cool the little town of Truth or Consequences is via our fearless leader, Howie "The Duke of Duke City" K., I decided to give this little burger joint a go. Old Folks, imagine American Graffiti, save the hot rods, and this is what you have on a country scale. In fact, I did imagine local teenagers hanging out here on weekend nights because they're "Bored" with "Nothing To Do." It's a true Drive In where you park under cover & eat on the picnic tables. On that note, it could use some piped in music, but it's all good. I had the chili cheeseburger and it did NOT disappoint! Big, fresh, and filling! When ordering I was asked if I wanted my chili hot or regular. I opted for the safe route and was pleased with my choice as it was still on the spicy side. Before ordering I was weighing whether or not to get the double and, once again, I'm glad I took the cautionary route. It was plenty big! My only complaint, though trivial, is the fries weren't the best. You could tell they were store bought frozen fries dropped when ordered. They weren't bad mind you, just OK. I wish they'd make their own like 5 Guys & In & Out does. Then again, this little place has an isolated audience, so why would they? They'll still get plenty of business. I'm not sure if you'd say this is a destination place, but if passing through, it's a must try. I know I'll be back with the Fam soon. read more

I REALLY enjoyed my green Chile cheeseburger from this place. It had just enough heat and big chunks of chile nestled in a juicy cheesy burger. The onion rings were also excellent-crispy on the outside and soft and slightly sweet on the inside. The chocolate shake hit the spot-creamy and thick and made with soft serve ice cream instead of out of some fast/food shake machine. It could have had more chocolate flavor though. After the first few sips it was more like vanilla but still a great tasting shake. The service was spectacular and very friendly. Also fast. It was well worth the 2-mile or do loop into town off the interstate. Once done just complete the loop to get a little tour of TorC. Definitely will come back to try a different sandwich or I saw they had chimichangas!! read more

Love this little place, and the food is good. It's only outdoor seating and so if someone is sitting in their car with he engine running its gross (and rude). Sometimes it can take a while to get your food (thus removing a star) but generally speakingbif we have time we like to visit and enjoy the food. read more

This seems to be the hotspot in Truth or Consequences. They have a drive-thru and a walk-up window where I've always have received friendly service. My favorite order is a double green chile cheeseburger with bacon and everything that normally comes on it. Of course, I get this with French fries and drink. There is outdoor seating available, parking where you can eat your meal in your car, and of course, you can take your order to go. There is additional parking behind the building. read more
