    B&M Mobile Auto Body Repair - Extremely Unprofessional, Poor Work, and Ghosted After Payment…read more I hired Barry McGill of BM Mobile Auto Body to fix cosmetic damage on two vehicles. This turned into one of the worst service experiences I've had. First car - surprise charges and poor business practices Barry completed the main repair on the first vehicle, which initially looked acceptable. However, when we asked him to go over a couple of very minor additional spots (a dent and some scratches), he did the work without providing a new quote or asking for approval, and then tacked on an extra $200 after the fact. We never agreed to this price increase in advance. Any reputable business discusses costs before doing additional work--this alone should have been a red flag. Second car - made it WORSE The second vehicle had a tiny scratch that was not visible from outside the car. Barry decided to "repair" it by dabbing what looked like nail polish on the surface. He insisted it was a "perfect color match" and claimed it would "look like it never happened" once it dried. Instead, it looks far worse than before. The repair is obvious, sloppy, and amateurish. Anyone with basic auto body experience would recognize this as unacceptable work. Broken promises and ghosting Barry told me that if it didn't look perfect the next day, he would come back for free and make it right. The next day, I called him -- he told me to "give it a few more days." A few days later, he promised to come back at an agreed-upon time. He didn't show. Hours later, after I chased him down, he claimed his grandfather was in the hospital. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and told him to come when convenient. He said Saturday. Saturday came -- no Barry. After multiple texts, he said he got busy on another job and promised to arrive by 2 PM. He never showed, and now appears to have blocked my number or stopped responding entirely. Of course, this all happened after he had already been paid. Total disrespect for our time I left work early on a weekday to meet him. We rearranged our entire Saturday to be home waiting for him. He wasted our time repeatedly with zero accountability. Lack of professionalism Barry smoked a cigarette in our driveway while reviewing the job and left the cigarette butt behind. This may seem minor, but it reinforces the overall lack of professionalism and respect. Bottom line Surprise charges without approval Substandard, amateur-looking work Broken promises Repeated no-shows Complete lack of follow-through once paid This business is unreliable, unprofessional, and not qualified to perform proper auto body work. I've used other mobile auto repair services in the past with excellent results--this was the exact opposite. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Every step of the way, Israel would call me to explain what was going on with the car and what needed to be done. He walked me through the details until I understood what happened and what they were doing to fix it. Aram was my point of contact, and he handled everything like a pro. From day one, he took the lead and didn't let up. He dealt with a ton of back-and-forth with the insurance company and adjusters -- phone calls, emails, pushback -- you name it. He never once backed down or passed the buck. Aram stayed on top of it, kept me in the loop, and made sure the job actually got done right this time. The difference in the quality of work and service was night and day. I'd definitely recommend Imperial Collision, and if you're dealing with a mess like I was Imperial Collision & Aram will set it straight.

However, in my opinion, from the standpoint of someone garnering quotes for a future mirror replacement, the receptionist or customer service associate who answered the phone did not have a good enough concept of (potential) customer relations. After a truly harrowing, somewhat traumatizing freeway experience, I thought the person answering the phone would at least have some kind of empathy or even just a professional, friendly tone. My initial request to speak to a mechanic or service advisor was ignored. Anyways, I volunteered info about the make, model, year and color of the car, but she only seemed interested in the VIN number, which I provided. Any other place asks for all of this info. She actually said I read the VIN number too fast at the end of my reading of it, which makes no sense as I never read numbers that fast out of courtesy. I even took the extra step of making sure she got the letters correctly, but, again, she did not appreciate that. Instead, she rather unprofessionally and abruptly ended the entire call. I've never had this kind of low vibration, low intelligence customer service from any auto-related business. So, I called back and left a message thinking perhaps the owner would contact me either the same day or the next, to no avail. Every other business I have contacted, from dealerships to independent repair and body shops, have had much more impressive and professional communications.

However, the last two years--specifically involving an unresolved electrical/check charging system issue with my 2015 Honda Accord--have required an extraordinary amount of patience and have ultimately resulted in significant financial and personal hardship. Around Thanksgiving 2023, I brought my vehicle to ToyoMotors to address ongoing electrical issues. I trusted that the work performed would keep my car reliable, as I am heavily dependent on my personal vehicle for work and safety. Since that time, my vehicle has continued to experience electrical and charging system failures, resulting in repeated stalling. I returned my vehicle multiple times between breakdowns, each time under the impression that the issue had been repaired and the vehicle was safe and drivable. Like many others, I have experienced financial hardship due to inflation and made the responsible decision to maintain my existing vehicle rather than take on a new car note. Unfortunately, around Thanksgiving of last year, my car stalled again, prompting another return to ToyoMotors. I am a first responder, and my vehicle has stalled on me twice around 2:00 a.m. during freezing temperatures, requiring emergency tows and jump starts just to reach safety--after I had already paid for services and was told the vehicle was repaired. Since then, I have returned my car to ToyoMotors twice more and took out two loans through Sunbit based on the assurance that the vehicle was being properly repaired. As a result, I have now gone over two months without reliable transportation while continuing to make loan payments. I communicated directly with the owner, Mr. Syed, explaining that I am actively paying on an open loan for a vehicle that is not drivable and expressing concern that costs continue to accrue because issues were not fully addressed before the vehicle was released. I also shared--both verbally and in writing--that due to my lack of automotive repair knowledge and as a female customer, the repeated breakdowns had caused me to lose trust in the repair process. Following these communications, ToyoMotors declined to continue working on my vehicle, leaving me without transportation after months of patience and financial commitment. What is especially concerning is that while reviewing Google feedback, I noticed another customer describing nearly identical issues. In that case, the business publicly stated it was "committed" to resolving the matter and invited further discussion. In contrast, I expressed similar concerns and was ultimately turned away. Today, after leaving the shop, my vehicle stalled again on the way home. I was forced to take an Uber to work, still without my car, and left questioning what work--if any--has been completed since November. I am now over $3,000 in debt, without a working vehicle, and facing additional repair costs elsewhere for an issue I was repeatedly told had been resolved. I expected more understanding, accountability, and consistency from a business I supported for years. Instead, I am left disappointed, financially strained, and hurt by the outcome. I believe other customers should be aware of my experience when deciding whether to trust ToyoMotors with long-term or complex repairs.

I decided to go ahead and proceed as the price he quoted was similar to other quotes that I've received. He was supposed to arrive at 11:00 and didn't arrive until 11:25. Before he got started he would explain what would happen. He then noticed that my bumper had become unattached and asked if I wanted to have that fixed. I agreed to have that fixed as well. It took him less than an hour to buff out scratches, repaint and attach the bumper. He stated that I would need to let the car dry for about 24 hours and then have it washed and waxed to have the edges of the paint blend in with the existing factory paint. I did exactly what he said and the paint edges never blended. I had the car wash for a second time and the paint edges continue not to blend. I reached out to him to let him know that there is no blend after having the car washed and waxed twice. He stated that I needed to get a clay bar wax. I asked him where could I get that done and he stated he didn't know any places around me. I then had to locate a facility that does clay bar and I had the car wash with a clay bar detail and guess what....the edges are still have not blended. So what started off as a few scratches and dents at the bottom of my car have now taken over almost half of the door and it's very noticeable. I'm going to have to spend more money to have the entire door repainted. The other day I was putting gas in my car and the wind was blowing very hard and I noticed the bumper that he reattached was unattached again!! Do not use this company for anything. Go with a reputable brick and mortar company that you can use your credit card to pay with and dispute any charges if things are not to your satisfaction. He only accepted cash or Zelle so I'm pretty much just stuck. Horrible work and horrible customer service.

He charged me $1200 and had to come back 2 times because he agreed the work was so awful and each time it got worse! He offered to refund me $250 because that was 'all he could afford' due to business being slow. I even offered to settle for $500 to get anything back because of how shady he was being and coming up with every excuse imaginable for not giving me a refund or making it right. The way my car looks now is embarrassing and he's not even ashamed of the work he did! Look at these photos and DO NOT let him near your vehicle! This guy is beyond awful with no morals!
