I walked in owing a back tax of $9,100.00, from a year that I wasn't involved with the CPA office.. In her own time, off of the schedule, I received several calls and emails detailing every step of the tax year and previous tax debts. By the time it was all over with, not only was my $9,100.00 cleared and no longer owed, the IRS owed me roughly $1,000.00 !!!!!! Lets see HR Block do something like that!! Now I'll be the first to say, I'm pretty lost with profit/losses and book keeping, as I said it's my first time. For the past 8 years I've just used TurboTax for personal, but as I said, first time with a business. Initially you talk with someone over a chat, they ask you questions and you answer them and send them forms. They said they could do my profit/losses for me for about $75 extra, I was fine with it, figured it was worth learning how to do it. Took about a month but finally had my appointment to talk over video (30min). They were 6min late and obviously very tired. I truly felt bad for Yuliya as she seemed so exhausted. We spent the first 18min looking at the Dept. of Washington tax site and she was showing me how to fix my prior quarterly tax filings because she felt I had labeled my business incorrectly. After I showed her what I was doing, she changed her mind and said "I think you're actually fine and doing it right". So that left us 6 minutes to rush through my tax return before her next appointment. In the end I spent $350 to save $3 (the difference in number between what I got in TurboTax vs. having it done by Nationwide). For me, if I would have learned something about better tax reporting for the LLC, it would have been worth it. But it just felt very rushed, very impersonal and honestly I'd rather just go back to doing it myself.

I have been doing taxes with them from 2013 to 2017. For 2017 I had given all the documents well in advance. Even then my taxes were returned on the last day. I stayed up all night going through them and found a lot of errors. Even then I payed them all the money they asked for no bargaining ever. After that I got 2 letters from IRS. I contacted these guys to get help as they had done the taxes. They said they are reviewing one notice and they will be a fee to file the reply with IRS. I said I will file the reply just tell me the computation of 2017 tax addition (Just a number) They waited till the last moment and then I get a mail saying they have filled a reply and I owe them $290. When replied back I did not hear anything back and then I get hit with a $243 Net 15 invoice and If I do not pay in 10 days 18% interest. I am really upset with these guys.
