And delivery fast, across the Bronx for $10. Unheard of. Apparently they know their market and have all these weird items that wouldn't sell in Home Depot, but are all over the Bronx and Upper Manhattan. When the door arrived, there was a big chip in the corner, so I called. They immediately turned the delivery driver around to pick it back up, and sent me another door the next business day. No argument, no problem. Just very good at what they do, and affordably priced. The kind of neighborhood business I'm happy to support.

Instead this employee wanted to argue with me. He refused to give me the sticker price, he refused to let me speak to the manager and aside from his unaccommodating demeanor he actually told me I should go ahead and buy it at Walmart if I didn't want to pay his price. I will never shop here again. I'm all about supporting local businesses and thought I would shop here because they were new and I wanted to support the local business. There are two other very reputable hardware stores within a few short blocks in the neighborhood. I have always supported them but chose to try to give my support to this new business. They block other vehicles from parking with traffic cones, they dump soap down the storm drains, which goes straight into the Hudson River, and they cause excessive noise with gas and electric generators and loud vacuum cleaners. Apex has turned 4580 Broadway into their own for-profit car wash and they don't pay taxes. They don't pay their workers a living wage and hire workers off the books. When asked to stop disturbing the other tenants in the building, they do nothing. What Apex is doing is illegal and must be stopped.
