I used to really love coming to 9Round. Unfortunately, the turnover is so high that when I start to like a particular trainer, they move on to something else and they are replaced with someone. I have to develop a rapport over again. In one year, I feel like I met 6 or 7 new trainers in the same time slots. Some of the trainers are young and easily distracted. There were some occasions where younger girls would come in and their focus would be on them and I would be left doing the workout on my own. I love the concept and the workouts are great but if I'm paying a premium (much more than a gym) and they advertise a personal trainer on site, I want the satisfaction of knowing that if I don't understand a move listed on the board that the trainers are ready to help me out. Or to watch me so I have the right form so I don't hurt myself. Finally, I canceled my member because I hired a personal trainer and they still charged me the following month. The same thing happened to my husband. I have been trying to contact the person I originally contacted to cancel. I returned her email and got no response. Then I filled out the form on their website and another person is contacting me to resolve the situation? Turnover. Again, I think it's a really good solution for someone who wants an intense 30 minute workout that fits in your schedule. But if you're looking to build a relationship with your trainer, look elsewhere. read more

Very shady tactics. Phone cancelled so you cannot cancel your account nor find out any information. Front desk could not answer questions and no one called us back. Then they try to back charge you because you did not happen to notice when they opened. They claim they never closed, even though you could not reach them to cancel. Then they won't give back your money because you were unable to cancel because you could not reach them. Just completely shady and low class. We would have kept going, they could have earned more money from us, now we'll just fight to get back what they stole. We were told they claimed they never closed, even though their own Facebook page tells a different story. Hurry up and edit it! These shady tactics are what make businesses fail. This concept is great. It's a 30 min workout that's hands on and it feels like you have a personal trainer. There's timers that go off that signal you to go to the next round (there's 9 rounds, hence the name).The trainers are nice and helpful. I didn't feel judged for my first workout. The first workout is free and afterwards you're charged weekly. I would suggest for anyone who's interested to go with a friend for the first workout. read more

They charged us for 2 months while the gym was closed. Very shady !!! Phone number has been disconnected for several weeks. This is the first time I have ever committed to a gym before! I love that I can come ANYTIME and that the circuit goes all day.. which means that classes start every 3 minutes. I was also able to lose 20 pounds in 2 months (finally got the baby weight off!) .... thanks 9Round! read more

Took my free class at Oviedo location and really enjoyed it. Challenging workout, nice facility, supportive trainer. I like the concept of the circuit and not having scheduled classes. Here's what lowered the rating and what you need to know before you get excited about joining. Met with director to sign up and was shocked by the cost. Minimum $200/month. No way I can afford that. That's fine, they're just out of my financial league. If you're similarly budget conscious, consider this: I signed up with Title Boxing: $89/mo, unlimited boxing and kickboxing classes. Although classes are scheduled they're offered at convenient times and provide a similar killer workout. read more

It's fun .. even when I don't want to do another burpee. The people who work here give you that "they really care and want to help you achieve your physical goal" vibe. I could never convince myself to get into a consistent gym routine until I discovered 9round. I was searching online for workout classes and saw these ads for 9round kickboxing and decided to try out the free first workout. I had zero intentions of joining and figured it would be too hard. I cannot believe how wrong I was! After my first 30 minute workout I was in love (and also exhausted). I signed up the very next business day and haven't looked back since! My favorite parts include that I can walk in anytime and workout, the trainers pay enough attention to help you out and encourage you but also allow you space to do your own thing, and I've been able to modify the workouts to fit my skill level. I've seen my skills increase in the past 6 weeks. I used to come home from work and immediately change into pajamas and sit on the couch all night. Now I am excited to go to the gym after work and have so much more energy to reclaim my life! I am so grateful for 9round! read more

I have called atleast 100 times to the store in order to cancel my membership that should've been cancelled a very long time ago. Before coronavirus, I did the 6 month membership and have still been charged every month when I know it has been more than that time. My membership should be completely done and I should not be paying for something I'm not using and I didn't sign on. I don't live in the area, so for me to have to call every single week for months and not get a response is ridiculous. A month ago I was in the area so I stopped by and even though I called numerous times that same day, the man was just sitting there watching wrestling videos on his phone instead of answering the phone to the business that is supposed to be running. When I went in, he said I have to email a man named Taylor. So I emailed three times this month saying I would like to cancel my membership and I would like to understand why I have been charged outside of the 6 month membership that I have signed on to. The team at 9Round is amazing. The format is diabolical! I love that there's no class time, it's only 30 minutes (for a full 500 cal burn to boot - this is legit!), and the workout changes everyday. My favorite part though is that the trainers are always there for support and technique. Great results, and impossible to make excuses! I wouldn't go through this program if i was someone else. Complete waste of money. I started about a month ago and was unable to come for about 2 weeks after having personal issues. Instead of being contacted about coming in to workout, i was called and harassed the entire 2 weeks about a payment i hadn't made. Mind you i had only been there 3 times and was going through multiple family deaths. Not only did i end up spending over $500 for workouts i was not able to attend because if payment wasn't made, i would be going to collections. I was told i would be able to come and start over since i had payed my entire payment. But yesterday received an email saying my membership had been cancelled, so i spent $500 to workout for 3 days. You're told that they help you to stay motivated, not receive a million text about nothing. You're told that they do this and do that. I should of just continued with going to the gym at least i know I'm not going to be bamboozled. This only takes your money, complete waste of money. VERY DISAPPOINTED read more

I did a lot of research before signing up with 9 round oviedo. I had seen the store front before but thought it was just a kickboxing gym, Well it wasn't. It's a 30minute circuit training with kickboxing elements built in. Every three minutes a new circuit starts, so no missing a class or paying if you sign up and you are late. There is no claiming your spot and if you don't get there exactly when you hoped, no big deal there is always a circuit starting within three minutes. There are 9 rounds (stations) split between the two sides of the gym. You start with round 1, always jump rope, and at 2:30 a bell rings warning that you have 30sec left (trainers always yell 30seconds!) then at 3min a bell rings and the trainer yell what every in the gym will do for 30sec. It could be flutter kicks, squats, wall sits, jumping jacks and do much more. Then another bell rings and you move to the next round signaling the start of another round. Rounds 3-8 usually are kicks, punches, sparing with trainer, along with other elements.Round 9 is abs. If there is something you cant do or need an modified exercise the trainers will work with you. They also help with your form. They are really motivating, telling you doubt give up and keep going. They are truly excited to see you. In the first 6-7 weeks i was there i can do jump rope 50+ times which at the start i was just using balls on short rope. I can do the speed bag alternating hits which i started doing 1 hand 10 times then switching. Every time i have gone its a different workout so it never gets boring and always a surprise. You don't know what you are doing until you get to that round, so no psyching yourself out by seeing workouts posted day before like a lot of criss fit gyms do. They have really flexible hours which fits easily into my constantly changing schedule with work and three kids. They even help with nutrition and it was easy to follow. No counting calories or macros just when to eat your fats, carbs, proteins and how much at each meal. In 6 and half weeks i lost 8% body fat, 20lbs and a pant size or two. I feel more confident and definitely feel stronger. They are always challenging me which makes me keep wanting to go back for more. 30 min kickboxing circuit is workout i have been looking for. If you aren't dead at the end then you aren't working hard enough. read more
