Chances were slim we were going to find this item but no harm in looking since we are in the area. We went to the specific aisle that it might have been located, but no luck. Great selection here! This line of stores was one of my favorites when I lived in socal. The pink guava juice in the 16oz can is a staple at every 99 cents only store in CA and AZ and it is worth every carb and gram of sugar in it! Other staple items include the dried seaweed packs of three and the chocolate covered coconut snacks - I once bought 15 bags of these and put them in a huge Tupperware container at home to last me weeks. They are that good! This location has two huge aisles of Halloween decor and costumes already out and tons of other great items. The best find at this location was the air vent clip for your smartphone - they have one that lets your phone sit below the vent so as not to block the airflow! This is ingenious! I've seen so many of these that completely block the vent so you have to choose between getting lost while driving or potentially melting in the heat of AZ. read more

EDIT: I'd give it negative 5 stars if I could. I tried to return 7 months expired drinks and they refused to give me my money back because there was no liquid in the bottles. Why the hell would I leave expired liquid to fester in an opened bottle on my counter? Of course I'm dumping it down the drain. I've never had this problem returning expired goods anywhere else. A receipt and the package is all you ever need to return a product. Let me start by saying I do love the 99 cent store. They always have cheap prices on name brand foods and produce selection is great. But this location...I bought $10 worth of drinks here last night and I drank about half of them. Trying out interesting new things I haven't heard of. But one bottle smelled very off when I opened it and it tasted worse so I checked the expiration date on a whim. 7 MONTHS EXPIRED. How does it stay on the shelf for that long without being moved? So I checked the other drinks I'd consumed. ALL OF THEM WERE EXPIRED. Every single one. Thank God I'm not rolling on the floor dying of food poisoning but you can bet I'm bringing all of these back and talking to the Manager. Quality control. This location lacks that. read more

They are false advertising. 99 cents only should read 1.00 dollar plus. I've been going there since they opened and never paid 99 cents for anything. Its still inexpensive, I'm just saying that they need to change the sign to read the correct price. And you still hsve to watch the dates. I've purchased out of date items by mistake and they wouldnt allow me to exchange it. read more

I go to the 4 ave store and all the cashiers are very nice, even when people are rude to them. I never had any problem returning anything and the manager is really nice and professional. read more
