Frustrated is an understatement. Ditto to the review below about negative behavior…read more At first it sounded like a very supportive organization to sign up for, but once I started talking to the advisors and call staff it felt like they lacked empathy, condescending even. They emphasize following their process without explanation, just that it's the required next step. I initially followed as required, but then it just felt like they were not listening to my questions for clarity, just reiterating their steps. It just felt like they didn't give me credibility, just discomfort. :(

I was a NOVAworks member from April 2025 to November 2025, when I landed a new job. My experience…read morewith NOVA has generally been positive. The career and training advisors care and they do the best they can to provide guidance and advice. The advisors that I have worked with have been very positive, encouraging, and helpful. NOVA also offers a variety of workshops to cover various needs for job seekers (resume writing, interview skills, LinkedIn tips, etc). However, where I find NOVA really comes through for its members is access to resources. During my time, I was given opportunities to attend job fairs, an event at the LinkedIn campus, and regular networking events. Every Thursday NOVA also brings in a guest speaker to present key topics. Many of these speakers are very open to providing you with free consultations where I've had the chance to get different perspectives on my resume, career coaching, and networking advice. NOVA members also get free access to LinkedIn Premium and LinkedIn Learning for a year and courses on IBM SkillsBuild for 6 months. Most importantly, what you get with NOVA is a community of advisors and members to support you so you don't feel as if you're doing this job search alone. Best of all, all of these services and offerings cost you NOTHING, as long as you live within the qualified cities. Joining NOVAworks does not guarantee you will find a job because there is no one-size-fit-all approach to job searching. As a job seeker it's important to find an approach that works best for or is most comfortable to you. In that respect, NOVAworks does a great job of providing a foundation to work with, and fairly limitless access to tools and resources, that can enable and empower you.

If you don't have time here's a broad overview on what's changed: - IK has a brand new prep website Interview question interface is cleaner and more efficient - Video content has been refreshed and is better organized inline with interview practice questions - IK has a strong career coaching program (IMO this is their best value prop) - Coaching focuses on creating a tailored strategy for your job search - conclusion: IK has improved program and is good solution for those seeking an interview prep framework and especially career search coaching For a more in-depth review I've updated my original blog post. Fernanda del Aguila and Marcus Albury are a great team and have been great recruiters for me. Always quick to reply to emails, texts and voice mails. And it's not about the money, WVSG actually does care about their customers (us) as they too guided me through the transitional periods (going from temp to perm) which made everything easy for me. I've worked with WVSG for over 2 years (2 great permanent job placements) and they have always delivered on their promises. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WVSG to anyone seeking not only a job but a career.

Mostly just some ergonomic changes to my work area at the client site. Told my on-site manager who promptly ignored my request for the next month or so, during which time things got even worse and I made a much more direct request for accommodations. The client then very swiftly fired me for making that request and West Valley has gone so far as to lie under oath in an effort to protect their client. They lied about the position I was hired for, they lied about my informing them of my need for accommodations in the workplace, and probably more. The fact that they're so willing to fall on their sword for their client tells me that this is not an isolated incident. They likely are known in the business world for helping shady companies get away with labor regulation violations and if they turn on one client then all the rest will flee and they'll be out of business.

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect when I first reached out to Brian, but working with him…read moreturned out to be one of the best investments I've made in my career. I relocated to the US last Christmas and had to start my job search from scratch in a completely new market. Finding Brian was a turning point. After he helped me update my resume, everything changed. Throughout March, I was getting messages from a new recruiter almost every day, from companies like LinkedIn, TikTok, Walmart, and more. I even had the confidence to reach out directly to a technical manager at a top fintech company and made a great impression. The results speak for themselves. I received offers from both JPMorgan Chase and Cognizant, and I'm still in the final stages with another exciting company (five out of six rounds done). Brian has a real gift for helping you present yourself in the best light. I've already referred my friend to him, and I'm so grateful for everything. If you're thinking about it, just do it. You won't regret it.

What stood out most was his ability to ask thoughtful, probing questions that helped surface accomplishments, leadership experience, and themes that I had not effectively captured on my own. He was highly responsive throughout the process, turned around drafts and edits incredibly quickly, and incorporated feedback seamlessly. Most importantly, he was able to capture the essence of my work history, leadership style, and qualifications in a way that felt authentic and compelling. The final product was polished, strategic, and significantly stronger than the resume I started with. I would highly recommend Brian to anyone looking for executive resume writing, LinkedIn optimization, or professional branding support.
