THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Living at nomo has been my own personal hell. From no parking to my AC being broken for MONTHS. I am so happy to say i no longer have to live at this shit show they call a student living complex. SECURITY: In October of 2025, there was a shooting that resulted in death. I can say with full confidence this was due to the insane lack of security. After this, they gave a half-asses attempt at better security by bringing in security guards and a sign in sheet that no one checked. The security guards never required ID or even checked. Just to add onto this- I was sexually harassed by one security guard on multiple occasions. At some point, I had a guest visiting for a night. She arrived to the apartment around 10-15 minutes before me and the people at the front desk allowed her to sit in the lobby. I had realized I had to make a quick stop before I got back to the apartment and told my guest I'd be a minute longer and asked if she could go pick up dinner for us. When she tried to leave, the person at the desk yelled at her and asked where she was going. When she explained, she was going to get food and come back, the guard forced her to sit in the lobby and wait until I got there. When I arrived, the guard was extremely rude to me and my guest. WIFI: On multiple occasions, the wifi has been terrible and even completely unavailable for multiple days. This has negatively impacted my schoolwork and has caused issues between me and my professors due to late submissions. PARKING: 99.9999999% of the time, guest parking has been completely full. Not just full of guests, but staff and residents. There used to be overflow guest parking in the outdoor parking area, but they took that away and did not notify anyone until days to a week later. This caused 2 of my guests to be towed and the towing company 930 Nomo works with is unreasonably rude, difficult to contact, and the workers are rarely there for you to go pick up your car. Nomo gave another half-assed attempt at fixing the issue by sending out an email saying residents parking in the guest area will be towed. This was never enforced and the tow company was never notified of this change. There have been times where I have had a guest drive over 2 hours to visit me and there is no guest parking when they arrived. When I asked the front desk where they can park, they told me to find a pay-to-park overnight spot over 10 minutes away. The garage is also always flooded and the garage elevator is always wet and stinking of wet dog. MAINTENANCE: If there is ever a broken appliance or other maintenance related issue, it will take days for the maintenance team to MAYBE fix it. My AC broke in early may. They came on a friday and said the part to fix it would arrive by monday and they would fix it the same day. That Monday came and went and my AC was still broken. We live in a humid and HOT area... I was miserable. When I checked the status of my repair request, the maintenance team closed it and claimed it was fixed. I put in another request one week after the monday they said it would be fixed (all of this is still in the month of May) and my ac wasn't repaired until the very end of June. It has been 2 weeks since then, and my ac is broken AGAIN. My dishwasher is also broken and has been since mid June....... I have placed the request to fix it and they haven't even contacted me once about it. Not to mention, the washing machine is full of mold and constantly smells disgusting. The ice machine has also been broken the entire time I have lived here. DISGUSTING LIVING CONDITIONS: Up until the last month, the trash chute room has been overflowing with trash. There have been times where I have gone to take my trash to the chute and haven't even been able to fully open the door. I have seen many many mystery stains on the carpet in the halls that stink up the entire hallway that will not be cleaned up for days to weeks. FIRE ALARMS: The fire alarms in the apartment are overly sensitive, so good luck trying to cook literally anything on the stovetop for more than 2 minutes. The building has caught on fire at least one time and the fire alarms will go off in the middle of the night causing everyone to evacuate. And no, they are not fire drills. read more

I'm so glad I can finally post this because I am FREE from this place. If you're thinking about moving here, do yourself a favor and stay far away. This was, without question, the worst renting experience I've ever had. Management is completely unresponsive and seems more interested in avoiding responsibility than actually helping tenants. Expect to be ignored, given the runaround, and/or have your concerns brushed aside! The amenities are a joke. The pool was consistently lukewarm and always full of dead bugs. The tanning bed didn't work for the entire two years I lived here, and apparently nobody thought it was worth fixing. The vending machines they had when I first moved in were great, but suddenly they disappeared and were replaced with a fancy upgrade that charges seven dollars for an Alani. Parking is an absolute disaster. When I moved in, there were a good amount of guest parking spaces, including the back lot. Then new management took over, changed the parking rules without properly notifying residents, and several of my friends ended up getting towed because they had no idea anything had changed. I even emailed management suggesting they inform tenants about the new policy. Like so many of my other issues, I never received a response. The biggest nightmare was the air conditioning. My AC broke 15 times during my lease, I counted. Every repair took about three weeks, one breakdown lasted from early May until mid-June! That meant I spent some of the hottest weeks of the year stuck in an apartment that stayed around 80°F. Their solution? A single fan sitting in the kitchen that couldn't even circulate. To make matters worse, I submitted maintenance requests that were repeatedly marked as "completed" even though nobody had shown up to fix anything. Right before I moved out the AC broke, AGAIN. For over $1,000 a month, I expected at least basic maintenance and communication. Instead, I dealt with ignored emails, ignored maintenance requests, broken amenities, towing headaches, and months of living without reliable air conditioning. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the frustration, save yourself the money, and rent somewhere that actually cares about the people living there. read more

After living at 930 NoMo for 3 years, I can honestly say this has been one of the worst renting experiences imaginable. Management showed little to no care for resident safety or concerns the entire time we lived there. The biggest issue was a shooting directly outside our front door. Instead of making residents feel supported or safe afterward, management barely helped and acted like it wasn't their problem. Absolutely nobody reached out or attempted to check in on either me or my roommate. There has been a slight increase of security but loud obnoxious parties still happen all the time in the common room On top of that, we had a leak through our carpet that took forever to fix despite multiple complaints. We were left dealing with soaked carpet and water damage for far too long with almost no communication. Equipment just dumped in the closet and dried the carpet but left an awful stench through the full room, which caused me to have to move everything out of my room. What makes this even worse is that since January, they've dropped rent prices from around $1,500 to about $850 for new tenants, while still forcing current residents to pay the old inflated rate. My roommate and I no longer even live there, yet management refuses to work with us or allow us out of the final two months of the lease. After being loyal tenants for three years, the complete lack of flexibility, empathy, and customer service has been incredibly disappointing. If you're looking for a place that values residents and actually helps when serious issues happen, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Beware of the pictures you see of the apartments and the model they show you. The apartment you get is nothing like the picture. I was shocked the day my daughter moved into her apartment. It was dirty, paint all over the floor. The kitchen cabinets are peeling. The refrigerator looked like someone had been throwing golf balls at it. The furniture left me speechless. It looks like they got it out of a dumpster. It is not the funiture in the pictures or the model My daughter's room is so hot she has 2 fans going with the A/C. They sent someone when she moved in and they told her there was cold air. The living room is freezing, and you walk into her bedroom and it's so hot. The gates are left open and no security. There has been 1 shooting that left someone dead in the hallway this year and the previous year one of the apartments was robbed. The experience has not been great especially when they pick an older non-student to live with your college age daughter and her roommates. Make sure you kids have their own roommates picked out!!! My daughter loves her roommates, but they need to clean the place up. She has lived there the past 2 years.:( read more

My daughter lived there for two years from 2023-2025 summer. While she enjoyed her roommates I cannot say enough bad things about this place and its operations. Let's start with the amenities. During the 24 months she lived there the pool didnt work for 5. The gym was closed down for a couple months as well and the shuttle was delayed (not from traffic) for mechanical issues at least once every 2 weeks. She paid for parking and got a sticker. She parked her car in the garage on a Friday night and Saturday morning she went to drive home and her car was gone. We all thought it was stolen. Turns out NOMO had it towed and impounded for the weekend for a cost of $285. Turns out the parking fee was only for outside parking. Just for history sake, there was no fee whatsoever to park in the garage the prior semester. The sticker was clearly visible on the windshield and the car is registered to her account with her name and cell number on it. Couldnt pick up the phone to call her could ya? When I spoke to the impound place the guy on duty told me he makes a killing off NOMO. The impound lot is not open on the weekends so they charge you the whole weekend too. When I asked if they usually get calls on Friday he hesitated and then said "ya, now that you mention it, huh, works for me though!" I also had to replace a tire as it was shredded when they yanked it from the corner spot. YAY, another $185! Her bathroom flooded and was unusable for nearly 3 months. Black mold was everywhere. I came to see her 2 months into the (fix) and they managed to put a thin layer of white paint on the ceiling. By the end of the weekend it grew black mold through that. At month 3, my daughter sent me a photo of a whiter ceiling but you could still see the stain marks. I can only assume they painted over the mold better. The lease itself is not technically a lease. This is important to understand as you will pay for the whole month of August but not be able to move into the apartment until around 20 August or later. This is because its not a rent but a contract divided into 12 month payments. No it is not prorated ever. If you are like us who were relying on military benefits to pay for the apartment you do not get benefits for days the school is not in session so you will eat this cost too. We were prepared for this the second year but just blows my mind you can pay for a whole month but not be allowed to live there for 2/3 of it. During the summer months be prepared to eat the cost of the apartment unless your child can find a decent paying job just to be able to afford it. They also have a 80% sub lease fee. Let me say that again, 80 PERCENT. I have dealt with sublease properties both commercial and residential, I have seen as low as 6% up to 20%. To put this in numbers she lived in a 3 bedroom at a share of around $1300. Since they charge you during the summer months and most students do not receive benefits during this month they now have to float this. Sublease sounds great right? However it will cost the resident over $1,040 to sub lease it to another student.... So I hope you have an extra 1k sitting around as a student. Dont worry mom and dad they will send the collection to you if they cant pay. To add to this they had my daughter sign a sublet agreement with the sublet fee blank. She did not know she had a fee nor did I know. I found out as we were 4 days away from closing on our house when we got a collections notice from a 3rd party. When I challenged it with the admin of 930 NOMO they pulled the sublet agreement and said it didnt matter if it was blank it was in the original contract disclaimer and notices. I figured there would be a sublet fee but not past maybe $100. Nice part is she got dinged on the way out for $30 for a small scuff mark about 1 inch long and 1/16 (about the size of a pencil mark) in the kitchen. She did not get compensation once for any of the amenities or loss of usage of the bathroom for the multiple months. Read the other reviews, the average wait time on maintenance is a couple months. Hope your handy! If your the owner do not respond. I have spoken to you and your staff enough about these issues. I really appreciated it when you guys hammered my daughter over requesting getting out of her lease for hardship this summer while you let the person she sublet too (and signed) by the way walk away scott free. I do believe I have voiced some concerns before whether it be about maintenance, parking, issues with the amenities. I have not exactly fully enjoyed my time here at Nomo. I wanted to voice some concerns because I'm just a little frustrated and wanted to hear what someone had to say. First off, I wanted to talk about my rent. Obviously moving in to this place I was fully aware of the amount of money I would need to pay every month and I don't particularly have a problem with that aspect. It was an extremely tough year, and I ran into a lot of issues with money and issues paying my rent. I understand that late bills are met with late fees and those have almost completely messed me up these past few months. I work a full-time job and I go to school, currently on summer vacation, so I do all I can to make the money to pay the bills. I fell behind one month due to catching covid, I was out of work for around a month which completely screwed not only my rent up but other bills as well. So naturally I'm behind and late payments have stacked up and the hole is getting deeper. I know paying rent is my responsibility, as it is everyone who lives here, but I just wanted to voice some my perspective on why I seem to be struggling and why I was rather unhappy this year with my time at 930 Nomo. Before even signing the lease my two roommates and I were promised a 250-dollar visa gift card upon moving in, I think we were initially told we were going to get it sometime in august at first. I did not receive the money until March. This was incredibly frustrating as I had to keep sending emails, and going down to the office to check on the status of it for a long time. I kept being told it'll be here in the coming week, or it'll come next month or even " I don't know when it'll be here". My roommates and I all getting the 250-dollar gift cards were a big reason we moved forward with moving in here because that would help us buy things for the apartment. We never got to do that and I had to use the money I finally got on bills. Moving forward to when we were finally ready to move in. Move in date was August 17th and we had already put down the whole month's rent, which to me at the time seemed unfair. I had called and asked what the deal was, and if there was any way we could move in earlier, I was given an answer along the lines of " You agreed in the lease to pay a certain amount of money overall for living here and we are using that extra time to clean". It made sense to me during the call, but then we finally moved in and it didn't look like anyone had cleaned the apartment at all. The wood floors didn't look swept, the laundry area had lint everywhere, we even found a sock back there, I found a chicken bone in one of the kitchen drawers and there was some sticky substance that was in the drawer directly under that. So understandably I was a bit confused and upset. Almost a month in I began questioning the lack of amenities. I know COVID made it difficult for everyone especially you all with what you could have open and what you had to do to maintain that. I do appreciate all the work you guys did to maintain a clean and safe environment here during that time. However, and I believe we spoke about this before, the lack of amenities caused myself, my roommates' and a few other residents I've spoken with feel as if we were paying for things we weren't receiving. I think you explained it to me as if the amenities are not part of the rent and we only pay for the bed and room that we live in. This, to me, seems out of place as when anyone chooses a place to live the amenities provided influence the decision on moving in or choosing another place. When being denied access to the gym, or the pool, or the study rooms, or the pool tables, the shuffle board, or even the inconsistency of the shuttle service. All of these things impact how I personally, my roommates and some other residents, feel about the price of rent. The amenities may not be what we as residents pay for specifically in our rent, but would the rent be so high if they didn't exist at all, because they practically didn't exist for the majority of the time I spent here. I understand that there were specific hours for how everything operated and I'm grateful that was even an option but sadly not everyone's schedules fit what was offered. I stand by what I said a few months ago that rent should have been lowered when access to amenities were restricted. Hey there, I really appreciate you reading this whole thing I know it's a lot. I've got a lot on my mind and I'm glad you care this much to read my novel of an email. Take a break get some water, eat a snack, laugh about how particular this one dude is being about his living space. Because I have more to say. My daughter lived there the second half of 2020. Due to I think staffing shortages, they stopped the evening shuttle service into town and on weekends. Students were unable to get home from labs or get to their jobs. So my daughter found a new tenant to take over her lease and moved elsewhere. I was told in multiple conversations during this process that everything was in the clear and my daughter was free to go. Months later I learned that they wanted me to pay a $700 relet fee. I explained how before we moved out we were told everything was in the clear. That person said they would get the relet fee taken care of. Then months later I was contacted by a collection agency! I called Nomo back again explaining what happened (to a new GM), sent the emails from previous conversations, and they said they would get it taken care of (again). Then months after that the collection agency contacted my daughter. I've now spoken to corporate (Asset Living), and they still won't budge an inch. And keep in mind to this day, I have never received a paper bill, email bill or anything stating I owe money...even as I type this. I would never do business with this property or any other that Asset Living manages. read more
