Hiring The Party Team (TPT) was one of our biggest wedding-planning mistakes. Up front,…read morecommunication was solid: TPT met with us, collected a detailed questionnaire, and charged a premium rate--including an extra hour of play time--so we felt confident everything would run smoothly. Last-minute bait-and-switch Two weeks before the wedding, TPT reassigned us--without consultation--to a subcontractor we had already reviewed (and ruled out) while searching for DJs. This subcontractor charges roughly $500 less than what we paid TPT, yet no price adjustment or opt-out option was offered. Worse, TPT failed to forward the questionnaire we spent hours completing; I had to tell the subcontractor to request it. Execution failures on the day * Ceremony & reception music: Christian tracks were played at our non-denominational wedding until I physically changed the song on the DJ's unattended phone. * Audio levels: Microphones were unbalanced; several speeches were inaudible. * First-dance disaster: Despite sending our custom track twice and discussing it on calls, the DJ played the standard radio version. My wife's best friend--who spent hours recording the song--left the reception in tears. * Dance-floor management: The DJ let songs run to full length without fading, couldn't maintain energy, and had guests heading for the exits by 10:30 p.m., even though we paid through 11 p.m. She began packing up early. Post-event response When I raised these issues, TPT's owner dismissed them as "confusion," defended the subcontractor's professionalism, and fabricated claims that guests had requested her for future events--claims my family members deny. He ultimately offered only a one-hour refund for the early shutdown, ignoring the larger failures that undermined our wedding. Bottom line The Party Team over-promises, outsources at the last minute, and takes no real responsibility when things go wrong. If your event matters, hire a dedicated DJ directly--skip the middleman. I would never work with The Party Team again.

The Party team did not deliver on their contract with us. We were to have six gaming tables for 90…read moreguests. Only dealers showed up for four tables, so two table couldn't even be set up. This left our guests cramming around the remaining tables. We, of course, didn't have to pay for the two unused tables, but no other compensation for our compromised party experience. Unfortunately I wouldn't count on them to fulfill their promise. If you do use them, be sure you have a plan B.

Smile DJ's completely butchered our son's wedding ceremony. It couldn't have been worse. A recap:…read more *Matt was supposed to be our DJ and did all of the advanced planning with our son. We knew that Matt had a good reputation, but he didn't show up to our event as agreed upon, and he didn't even have the courtesy to call and let us know. *Instead, he sent a back-up, who claimed to have 20 years of experience, to perform the services. He told us they were short a person and that Matt had to cover another event. He said that Matt may still make it to our event, but we don't believe that was ever the case. *Harry showed up with not enough time to get set up or to be fully prepared for being thrust into an event at the last moment. He did meet with my son for ten minutes to quickly attempt to get up to speed, but he interrupted the pre-wedding photo session. *The ceremony: things went HORRIBLY wrong during the ceremony. Harry started calling out the names of the wedding party as they walked down the aisle. We've never seen that happen in our lifetime of attending weddings. He was so disorganized that he clearly was reading from the reception agenda, and not following the ceremony agenda. Not only that, he called out the wrong names. He also played the wrong music twice, and to make matters even worse, he started playing the exit music while the Pastor was still giving the blessing. It was a complete hatchet job to put it mildly. *As for the reception, he followed the playlist and the sound was very good. However, during his rushed set up, the photo booth, which he failed to anchor properly, blew over in the wind and suffered damage. It was unavailable for part of the reception. Harry spent way too much time working on the photo booth, which distracted him from his emcee duties at the reception. Therefore, the agenda was not followed as outlined. *When we followed up with Matt about our experience, his initial reaction was that we were wrong, and he proceeded to gaslight us. It wasn't until the following day that he realized we were 100% correct because he heard from somebody he claims that he knew that was at the wedding and witnessed it first hand. It was appalling that he basically accused us of lying. There is no way we could ever recommend anyone using Smile DJ's for their event based on our experience. We spent many months and long hours putting this together, and Smile DJ's had a significant negative impact on the proceedings. It was still a special day with many blessings, but we still can't believe how bad they messed up their role in it. We wouldn't even give one start if that was possible.

He was so communicative and easy to work with. He staffed the photobooth to make sure everything went smoothly which was such a comfort for a Type-A Bride as myself, and he was so professional and enjoyable to be around that I found myself talking to him just to decompress for a moment between all the craziness. So, Matt was a rockstar, but also the photobooth set up was AWESOME, and it was some of the best memories from our special day. The unlimited high quality prints were awesome wedding gifts for our guests and everyone loved it. As an even bigger bonus, we got a thumb drive with everyone's photos from the entire evening for us to enjoy for years to come, so we can live our wedding through our guests' fun memories!! I could not recommend Matt and Smile Photo Booth highly enough!!!

Second, I've been to a few of the photo shoots for kidsports kidsports and YMCA , and the photographer is very impatient and very rude to the parents. He should not be working with kids. Third I feel like they rush to finish everything so the quality is kinda crappy it's like they don't look over what they edit and just move on. And if they are rude in the field I don't even want to know how they treat their employees. I deffinetly do not recommend this company.

His complete lack of professionalism is disappointing. In the future, if my children's teams are to be photographed by Moderne, I will make sure to hold a different picture day with the team, so that I do not have to subject my children to this man, nor give him any of my money. Also a warning, photographer will alter your pictures. On two separate occasions, they pasted another child's eyes over my daughter's closed eyes - making her look completely different. When approached about it, they told me that they would never do that. However, my daughter has bright blue eyes and blonde eyebrows, and the doctored picture had dark brown eyes and black eyebrows.
