I went into another salon and asked them for a conditioning treatment to help with my broken hair as well as I asked for an 8G toner to be put in. 8G is the color I have had previously at West Coast hair and had told Kayla I was happy with (read previous review). The toner was left in my hair for 20 minutes at the new salon (NOT due to me requesting any specific time frame for them to leave on, thats the time they naturally did!) and the conditioning treatment helped make the damaged hair less noticeable. Not only did Kayla make me take time off from work to go in and then do nothing the help correct the damage Kayla had caused, I was humiliated and berated being told that they could not help me when it is now 100% certain that Kayla did not leave it on as long as she had previously, and her overlapping the bleach caused the breakage. Avoid the embarrassment of being told it is your fault for not being able to put into words how to fix their stylists error of breaking my hair, and not leaving the toner in and making me feel it was my fault. Shame on the owner for the way she handled it, and shame on Kayla for not owning up and re toning and conditioning to fix her error.

I discovered Salon 718 going to a Foodie meet up with my friends in the same shopping center…read more I have been going to Angela for over a year. I was so grateful to have stumbled upon her Salon. I have been searching for a salon and stylist that truly cares about the health of your hair and who knows how to cut hair properly. Most salons CANNOT cut hair professionally even though they charge you for said "professional cut." Angela will give you an outstanding cut. I firmly believe that my hair grew faster and healthier because of it. My hair was so damaged, tangled and breaking off from hormones and stress. Angela was so sweet and extremely informative about hair health and products. She has a pleasant and gentle energy that transfers to how she handles the service that you're getting. She is honest and gives you all the information regarding your hair as well as how to take care of it "after" the appointment. Every single time I go to Angela my hair looks and feels so healthy, shiny and gorgeous. My scalp feels clean and my my hair has so much body. My style lasts for 7 to 10 days guaranteed when I use a silk bonnet and minimal product. Angela is the best!! She is a hair SAFE salon! :) I don't have a photo but I will update my review on my next visit!

I first reached out to Foiled Rotten Salon through Yelp messenger. I've had a difficult time…read moregetting the top portion of my heads natural curl back after box color hair damage. For the last 6 months I tried different home remedies and nothing was working. My hair was dry and curl at the top was just not doing anything. That's when I decided to look on Yelp and see what others have been saying about local salons. This brought me here to FRS, Veronica the owner was very responsive through Yelp messaging and suggested glossing with some curl treatments. After reading the existing reviews I decided to give it a try. Veronica had an opening for today with a stylist that I remember reading good reviews on. An hour later I met with Sandy. She took the time to ask me about my hair and evaluate my needs and my hairs needs. After protein treatments and drying I am happy to report I have some curl revived. I don't expect to leave with my healthy curly hair but I left with hair that I believe is the beginning stages of restoration and rejuvenation. I decided to buy the product line they used to continue the curl treatments. After about a month of use I will be sure to provide another update as to the results. Thank you Sandy for a really great experience. Sometimes we overthink going to new places and trusting new people but you made this experience an enjoyable one and I will be back soon.

She was very professional and accommodating throughout the whole experience and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. She started off with an initial phone consultation the day before to get an idea of what I wanted and asked for inspo pics. I really appreciated that! On the day of, she did an amazing job blowing out my hair, curling it, braiding it (exactly like my inspo pic) and placing my tiara. She really took her time and ensured it was perfect! I loved how it turned out! She did an excellent job with my makeup as well. Since I wear a hijab (headscarf), I preferred a more private area to get ready. Heather (the owner) very graciously offered some space in their back room, which I gladly took her up on once the main blow dry bar area started filling up. I really appreciated how kind and accommodating everyone was throughout the whole experience! I would love to come back here again.

I'm really disappointed with my experience at Haute Headz. I was excited to try a new stylist after…read moreseeing her work on IG (Avery) and was prepared to spend more than I normally would, but I walked out feeling frustrated and like I didn't get what I paid for--especially at a $300 price point. The appointment started off uncomfortably when the stylist next to me overheard what I do for a living (title insurance) and commented that I work in "legalized extortion." Not only was this wildly inappropriate, it made me feel awkward and judged right from the start. I had a thorough consultation with my stylist and we agreed that to achieve the look I wanted--light ends contrasting with a deeper base--I'd need a full lightening service rather than the partial that was originally quoted. I agreed to the upcharge with the expectation that I'd get the desired result. Unfortunately, that's not what I got. Instead of a smooth, dimensional color, I ended up with chunky highlights, a grown-out root look, and ends that are still noticeably darker than the base. It looks like a rushed job and not at all the intentional contrast we discussed. To make things worse, there are two very obvious bright white spots at my hairline where toner was completely missed. I brought this up when I got home and noticed it (Avery really should have caught them when washing or styling my hair, they're quite obvious) and the stylist did offer to fix it, but her availability didn't line up with mine. I explained that I couldn't take another hour and a half off work to come in during the week, given the 30+ minute drive each way, which she knows because we live near each other. Rather than showing understanding, she got defensive and told me it wouldn't take long and that I should reach out to the salon owner if I had further concerns. The one bright spot in all this (well, other than the 2 in my hairline) is that the haircut turned out well, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one. But overall, this was a frustrating experience with results I'm unhappy with and a lack of professionalism I didn't expect from a salon at this price point. I won't be returning.

She does an amazing job and has done the best balayage I've ever seen on my hair.
