Lake Coeur d'Alene Cruises

Lake Coeur d'Alene Cruises

We were happy for the chance to book a dinner cruise at the spur of the moment. They take you…read morearound the lake for about two hours. The captain, who was very congenial, explains the sites along the way and some history of the area and the lake. We learned a lot! Our cruise was probably less than half booked. There was plenty of food and everything tasted good. The staff on hand was friendly and competent. The dock is easy to find. Parking was ample, although paid. My spouse had a delicious huckleberry lemonade. I had an (overpriced) glass of wine. They did promise more than one dessert (I think?) and only had one. I felt sorry for anyone who didn't like chocolate cuz that's what it was. Surprisingly nice bathrooms for onboard a small boat. Lovely views. Very pleasant overall with nice music playing as well.

I highly recommend this cruise to anyone visiting Coeur d'Alene! For us, everything went perfectly:…read morethe cruise left right on time, lasted about 2 hours, and was filled with great music, food, and drinks. To be honest, I'm often not impressed with food in American venues -- and I definitely didn't expect much from a dinner cruise. But to my surprise, everything was excellent: the fish, the steak, the perfectly seasoned potatoes, and the fresh salads. Service was great too, which made the whole experience even better. We had such a fun time with friends and took tons of photos along the way. P.S. Bring something warm -- after sunset it gets noticeably cooler out on the water! Would absolutely do it again next time we're in town.

Coeur d' Alene has been on my list as everyone says how great it is. So, a friend flew to visit over the summer and we spent 2 nights at the resort in their North Wing room. Then another friend came to visit this month, so we returned (with a much better experience). Arrival: Both visits were easy and we self parked. Be aware that there is an elevator from the parking garage to the resort and it is not the same one that will bring you to your room. Easy if you don't have a lot of stuff, but one visit I brought my dog and I could have used a luggage cart. So unload up front and then go park. Check in: Very quick. No wait. On the 2nd stay we were allowed to check in early which was nice. Rooms: North Wing- yikes. It does say on the site it is for the "value minded traveler." It shows. Summer is expensive there and since we were going to be outside the majority of the time it wasn't horrible. However, the room is much like a motel with the window facing a walkway. Ours was right next to the elevator. ugh. The inside was just okay. As others have mentioned, it could use updating. My second stay we stayed in the Lake Tower Room with double beds and fireplace and balcony. It was lovely. Nice room, beds comfortable, but the best was the view. Housekeeping: Unfortunately, both stays no one came to service the room. The Lake Tower even had a button to push when you want it serviced. We were out of the room by late morning and had the button turned on. Oh well. When I called, they did offer to service the room but we were tired and wanted to relax. One minor thing is that there is quite the push for tipping. I believe it came in an email and text. Just thought it was tacky. I've never seen that done before. Amenities: Visited the outdoor Blu pool during the summer. It was busy. My friend and I found an area that was "adults only" (not near the pool) and enjoyed the lake more than the kids in the pool crowd. Restaurants: Dined at Beverly's and Dockside. I will write separate reviews for them. All positive and will be back. The pre fixe dinner (early bird) was a great deal at Beverly's! ***Only policy I would suggest a change on is their charge for pet fee. It's one of the highest I've paid (and I've stayed at 5 star resorts) There is a DAILY $75 fee (someone said they cap at $150). I understand a fee is necessary, but I think that is a bit over the top. Our pup is crated (and prefers it) so does not require that deep level of clean other dogs might need. It might be better to have a standard reasonable fee and then charge the owner if the animal's stay requires additional cleaning.

On May 28th, 2023 I made a reservation for a "Fun" Ship for August 11th 1/2 day from 2-6pm. When I…read morereceived a confirmation two days before our reservation, it showed that we had a morning confirmation (which was incorrect). I called them right away to sort this out and was told that they input our reservation incorrectly and that they do not have any boats available for the afternoon. Due to it being a mistake on their end, they offered to give us a discount if we reserve a boat for another day or morning. Unfortunately, we were unable to make that work due to other reservations we had the next day and then were heading home the next day after that. All of us, four adults and 6 kids, were really looking forward to boating on Coeur d'Alene lake. The other family we were with had also made arrangements to change campgrounds so we could be close to the boat dock. Moving a RV for one night isn't ideal, especially now that we don't have a boat. CD Boat Rentals didn't help us find another boat and, of course, every other boat rental I called that day was already booked. This was a huge disappointment to our trip and I would not recommend this company to anyone.
