Some trains stop at 51st/53rd which is technically Hyde Park stop or exit the 55th end of platform. 59th is technically University of Chicago and usually only "South Chicago " trains stop there. So, exit and walk toward the 57th street end. We walk everywhere in Hyde Park, you just need to know where you are going...and where the train stops.

You can even just tap your phone these days, instead of buying a special transit card. The train isn't the dirtiest, isn't the cleanest, compared to other cities' public transit, but I thought it was fine. Didn't smell any urine as other Yelpers had described lol. It was efficient, easy to take, and took me where we needed to go! Not bad!!

I only get off at this stop, because I take classes at Kennedy King College, which sits right outside of this stop. Looking at this stop, I can tell that it has been re-constructed, because it's very clean compared to the outside, and entrance of it. Kudos for that, but lets see if it's maintained. During the morning, and afternoon hours it's safe, from what I've seen! But don't get too comfortable! Outside of this stop, there is a Divvy bike share, if you choose to ride to this location or need a share bike. I'm not to familiar with what stores they have in the area, but I do know there is a Wholefoods, Walgreens, and Post Office within a 400 meter range of this stop. Enjoy, and have a safe trip if you get off, or on at this stop.

The smell is foul, the area is not safe to be around, you got some rude people coming in there every now in then. These people are terrible. They're always pulling unsafe maneuvers, such as not pulling over to the curb when stopping, driving too fast and failing to use turn signals.
