I also called various days at various times to speak to a manager and never got a response. Now I'm getting bombarded with texts and emails to pay a past due balance. It would've been nice to get a response to my own calls and emails the way I'm getting bombarded to pay a balance I do not owe. The gym itself was ok, but I found it to be dirty every single time I visited, and the employees I encountered were not friendly, besides Mel. Clearly, a timely response to paying customers by management is an issue judging by all these reviews....... ***I'm now being hounded to pay a $25 fee from last April, or the bill will be sent to collections. The manager Josh was extremely rude and not helpful. Avoid this place at all costs, you seem to get treated like trash if you don't fit their mold. Why am I being hounded for a fee that you've waived for other members? I was told to give my card information over the phone so they can charge me, and got nothing but sass and attitude from the manager. Extremely poor customer service seems to be the go to here.

While encouraging getting fit and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Modern Fitness has created a community space where you feel like you belong! Thank you to Chris, Jonathan, Lauren, Lee, and Jacob for opening the doors to us for a Yelp event and sharing what they love about Modern Fitness while still taking us through a tough workout! We started off with a quick tour of the gym before launching into things. Half the group began with stretching and discussion on fitness training while the other group ran through a circuit of tire jumps, sled push/pull, TRX bands, lunges, battle ropes, and kettlebell lifts. While being a tough workout, it was super fun and kept you up and moving so it felt like it was over in no time! And then each group switched and finished off with stretching or the workout! After joining up with a full membership, I've gotten to try a variety of their group fitness classes and get to hang out with each trainer. Each has their out personality that carries over into the way they plan and take you through their workout. Chris is methodical and helpful, showing you how each exercise works and how it can work for you. Lauren loves to do SO MUCH and ALL AT ONCE, making sure that every last muscle in your body is worked out by the end. Lee has aptly named his workouts "Full Body Meltdowns" since you are up and moving the entire time til you feel like your body is melting (in a good way). And, together, they make Modern Fitness a family. You truly feel welcomed in and appreciated. They even have the gym pups which add another layer of fun and family atmosphere to the place. I seriously love this place and I am so happy to have found them. Thank you for all you do and I can't wait to see Modern Fitness continue to grow!

They have a traditional gym membership or you can take whatever group classes you want. The equipment list is pretty comprehensive, lots of rogue bars, racks, boxes etc. They have a GHD and dumbbells to 100's. They have a few speciality bars and some strong man type stuff. The only downfall I can see is they only have bumper plates. Not a big deal unless you lift really heavy. The other huge plus is they have dogs in the gym. Who doesn't love a puppy?

First off, you have to schedule to come in because of COVID. That ensures there will never be more than 8 people present at a time. Justin is the head trainer and as far as personal trainers go, he's exceptional. When I first joined, he helped me reach and surpass my benchmark in 6 weeks. During the craziness of a pandemic, if you're looking for a safe and sanitary place to workout without having to deal with crowds, I doubt there's a better gym in town than BodyTrac.

Early on, I signed up for a Hot HIIT class and somehow managed to forget my sneakers. The lovely Lilly was working the front desk that day, and without hesitation, she let me borrow her own sneakers so I could still take class. Thank you to the lovely Lilly!! That level of kindness and hospitality is so rare these days, and it left a lasting positive impact on my experience with the staff at FLOWSTATE. I've tried all kinds of workout classes--not just in Tallahassee, but in South Florida too--and FLOWSTATE's yoga FLOW classes are the first ones that truly made me fall in love with yoga and actually stick with a consistent practice. Every instructor brings something different to the room, and I am obsessed with Danielle and Caulley! Whether I want to be challenged, slow down, or just reset after a long day, I know I'm going to feel better after class than I did before. If I had one wish, it would be to see more yoga FLOW classes offered around 6:15 or 6:30am. My BFF Jen and I would be there all the time. I'm also a member of the Oasis Room, and I absolutely love the contrast therapy! Booking has always been easy, and it's become one of my favorite ways to recover, recharge, and reset. I do wish staff didn't freely walk in and out as much while you're in the Oasis Room, if that could be minimized. FLOWSTATE has built an incredible community. Between the little monthly cute self-love style challenges and the people it attracts, it's the kind of place that makes you actually want to keep showing up. The workouts are amazing, the instructors and staff are amazing, and the people and the environment they've created keep me coming back.
