They had availability for two weeks later. I wasn't in a rush so I don't mind the wait. I wasn't scheduled for the 12-4 time window. On the day of I had a work commitment that came up last minute. They were very accommodating when I called so I was pushed further back on the timeslot till after 3 PM so I could be home for the service. The technician Isaiah arrived and informed me what he was going to do. Afterwards he sent me a detailed report with photographs of my gutter system. Thankfully, everything looked good and I did not require any additional services after the cleaning and tuneup.

For the first time I realize I had been hearing a fair amount of outside noise (which I'd apparently gotten used to), because these windows/doors are soundproof; now I don't hear anything at all from outside! And even better, the windows are easy to open, and my sliding glass doors actually slide well in the track, and are not shaking and drafty when it's windy outside -- major improvements from my old, builder-grade, 20+ year-old windows/sliding door. Further, the service crew was excellent -- careful, kind, professional, efficient, and they cleaned up everything afterwards. Roger, the foreman, has been doing this work for almost 30 years, and Jose, who single-handedly carried in/out the windows/doors, has been doing this work for 10+ years. I didn't get the name of the quiet third service person who was mostly outside and on the ladders, also very efficient. fyi, they did mention that working on the 4th floor of our condos from ladders was a bit more challenging as the original builder-grade windows had been made to fit by being packed/taped in place from the outside, which necessitated them having to actually break some of the glass to be able to pull the old windows out. But they did it - and did it well. Finally, Shaun, the project manager who gave me my estimate and oversaw the project from estimate, HOA approval process, to completion, was great. Called in the last week or so because the ice knocked a piece of my gutter askew after the storm, and they did call back, but said while they'd come out, their minimum service call is $499, so I should try to find a handyman. Agreed. This was never mentioned during the search for the zinc flashing, btw. So, not a bad company, did good work for us, but not a company to call for a small job.

However, Aracon failed to install a ridge…read morevent or other proper venting, resulting in a near failure of the roof due to mold throughout the entire underlayment system. The roof supposedly had a warranty but after initially agreeing to examine the issues we had and install a proper ridge vent they ghosted us. So we were left holding the bills for $7000+ of mold remediation and vent installation. To make matters even worse the gutter covers they installed were impropertly installed and all came crashing off the roof this past Winter. That will cost us another $1800. I would avoid this company at all costs. They don't stand by their warranty, they don't stand by their work and have a reputation for disappearing when they screw up. We are filing complaints with the Maryland Home Improvement Commision to try and get restitution. Save yourself the trouble. There are other, much more qualified, roofers out there.
