Boy did they deliver! Brendan came out to our house twice to ensure the measurements were correct. I got a tour of the 'shop' , which is immaculate. Their selection, including of drawer pulls & knobs is outstanding. Though my order was not a huge one (two built in medicine cabinets, one wall mount & one vanity), we were treated like it was a big deal--it sure was to us! The one drawer on the vanity had to be cut to accommodate plumbing. I thought I'd be waiting a week to get it. Not only did they finish it that day (a Friday) but they brought it out so we'd have it for the weekend. The details on the cabinets are impeccable, inside and out. The shelf pegs are metal, not shoddy plastic, like most others. The seams on the cabinets are invisible- the workmanship is just outstanding. I highly recommend Caruso Cabinets.

They said they never got the request, so O K , set up an appointment. That was today for 1.00 to 1.30 pm. At 2.20 pm, get a phone call from Denny saying their estimator was tied up in Mt Pleasant! Why was he still in that town, when he is already almost an hour late for me in Delmont area ? I told him, nobody called me to say they will be late until he called at 2.20 pm! He said the girl in the office was not in today because of the weather. It snowed on Sunday, today is Tuesday! So who is running the show at this place? I should of been called by the estimator at 1.00 pm saying he couldn't make the appointment time and perhaps reschedule. They did not respect my time and I would only imagine how things might go if i would hire them to do my kitchen. From others I talked to, things changed there since Denny is in control and that's all I needed to hear. I want results and expect at least a phone call. No way would I put up with such nonsense and lack of accountability to trust them with my kitchen overhaul.

We were told (and paid for) our subfloor to be replaced but while the person was there to do the work we were told he was unaware of that and that the subfloor was fine. It has been less than a month when the bottom of the toilet started leaking. My husband called and was told he would have someone out the following day. That never happened. In the midst of all of this we have been potty training our little one and woops, she went on the potty after we had drained the water. So we had to clean up that mess (and try not to be upset that we had to clean that mess up since she did everything right!) So now we have duct tape on the toilet. What a look. My husband followed up the following week, and they said oh we'll have someone out in two days. Now your company states it is just a plumbing issue and it is not in our contract to fix. So now we have had a bathroom remodeled for less than a month, and have not been able to use the toilet for almost two weeks. We are out a pretty penny and have a toilet with duct tape over it. Your company has refused to take responsibility. Their lack of accountability and poor customer service are unacceptable. I trusted them for quality work, but they failed to deliver and won't stand behind their work. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable service.

We were in dire need of a new shower and reached out to JFD. Unfortunately, we wish we would have contacted someone else. Everything seemed to go smoothly until approximately one week after installation. We noticed water dripping onto our basement floor. I called a local plumber who could not find the origin on the leak and recommended I contact another company who successfully diagnosed the leak. After 4 hours or so, the company determined the leak was coming from our newly installed third floor bathroom. Never did we think for a second the leak would be from our brand-new bathroom. As a result, the walls in my home were opened to allow blowers to dry out the inside of our walls and prevent the risk of further mold & mildew. Additionally, our kitchen backsplash was ruined, as was our built-in stovetop (currently sitting on makeshift 2x4 legs). I have sent emails and called both the V.P. & President of the JFD to express my displeasure & request restitution and have received minimal to no response. So, in addition to having to pay full price for a subpar install, we are on the hook for $4,500 from the company that rectified the error. This does not include whatever costs we will pay to update our kitchen, too. Due to the faulty installation, my family has been through an absolute nightmare & JFD could care less! I would only recommend this company to someone if I really disliked them!

They parged and waterproofed the exterior block walls of my 110+ year old house, reworked spaghetti plumbing and electrical work by the prior owner, replaced plug-in hanging shop fluorescent lights with switched bright LEDs, and put up drywall for a fresh, clean, bright look. Unneighborly…read more Waking up to their crew yelling in our residential neighborhood before 7 am, working start time, for months is the least of my worries. Being sworn at by their staff is not neighborly. They seen to forget that the street does not belong to them. What's truly frustrating, and why I would never suggest the company- they do not use working phone numbers for their permits that they file with the city. So getting ahold of someone when there's a real issue is impossible. For example, their construction crew is causing a very serious and dangerous issue with the buses scheduled to pick up preschoolers each school day in the morning. They are blocking the road with cranes and equipment in the middle of the bus stops. This causes an unsafe situation. It has also caused children on the street to miss school. Since where their bus stops is being used as a construction area. But since the company does not post any working numbers for permit or the public then there no way to discuss with the owner or manager how unsafe they are being when blocking the street with equipment in the am. And since those on the site are no receptive to discussions with neighbors about problems- problems continue to mount. I like being told to go "fuck myself" and that I'm fat whenever I ask the crew when the will be moving their equipment out of the middle of the road as they block our entries streets access, but especially my front door. This builder runs a real classy crew. I can't wait until they're done building near us. It's horrific and it makes me resent our new neighbors who haven't even moved it but bought with them.

Bobby and his team were supposed to start our project mid pandemic but then slated our start to…read morelate fall/early winter. At our request, we asked for our project to be postponed until early spring due to lack of materials and opening our home to the elements, it was not practical. Construction was to begin right after Easter 2021 but we received notification through an email less than a week before starting that they were no longer going to do our project. There was a huge lack of communication throughout the entire process and when we did actually speak to either Bobby or one of his employees, we were assured each time that everything was in order and those few things that were not would be taken care of in the next couple of days. However we would never get a response on finalization of those particular concerns. We had given a lump sum of money in summer 2021 and asked it to be returned when the agreement was made to start in spring and a new check would be issued. They gave us the run-around and no money was returned until after they canceled and less all our permits which are only good until summer, which is impossible to get a new contractor in that short amount of time. I highly recommend you do your research before you higher a contractor. Make sure to ask for references as well. In the end, I am glad that RJ Steele Construction did not open up my house.
