My mom went to get her hair cut by Natasha a couple months ago. We have been getting our hair cut and colored in Boca for 25+ years, however out stylist retired and we were on the search for a new one. While the cut was okay, it was the professionalism and attitude of Natasha that was quite disturbing and the reason for a 1 star review. My mom rarely treats herself to anything--she admittedly has let her hair go due to the fact she has severe lung disease. Going out to get a cut and dye job is 1) a lot of money for someone with medical bills piling up; 2) she is on a bunch of medicine so she tries to avoid extra chemicals whenever she can; 3) our dog has cancer so instead of money going towards beauty treatments, we've sunken thousands and thousands towards his care; and 4) it's a lot for my mom to go out and get her hair cut when she's sick. Understandable, right? Apparently not for Natasha. She SHAMED my mom for coming in with her hair half outgrown with dye. She proceeded to shame her for the state of her hair in general. My mom has been on steroids and medicines for 20 years, which makes your hair fall out and turns your hair brittle. She can not control that. Natasha throughout the appointment continued to shame my mom that she should be taking care of her hair and it was unacceptable in the shape it was in. She then told my mom that if she was going to be using Natasha as her stylist, she couldn't continue with not upkeeping her dye job and couldn't work with her in the state it was in. Keep in mind, her hair was just brittle and needed a dye job. It wasn't matted or dirty...literally just brittle and outgrown. But the way Natasha shamed her, you'd think she was. My mom is one to speak up for herself but this time she was completely humiliated. We've never had an experience like this somewhere in all our years of living in Parkland and Boca. This was extremely disturbing to hear about and if I had been present at the appointment, this would not have flown with me. Natasha, as a business owner, I highly recommend you think before you open your mouth next time. You never know what someone is going through. Just because someone finds it more important to put money and care towards something other than beauty treatments does NOT mean they need to be shamed for it. Needless to say, we will not be going back to 818. This is disgusting behavior. read more
