I told her I wasn't paying more because I already reserved a room at a set price. She was probably 16 years old so I won't mention her name but she got an attitude real quick. I already suspected she was going to because when she saw me come in and I asked to check in she was already rolling her eyes. I asked for a manager and she said there wasn't one there. When I said I'll take a refund instead she said she couldn't do it and she would have to call her manager. I told her to do it and called her an asshole because she was being so rude. She told me to "GET OUT!" which I told her not before I got a refund. Surprise her manager, Gladys, comes down and cancels the hold on my card. Thankfully that was an option. The manager was patient which I appreciated but I don't think a child should be working front desk at a hotel. It absolutely ruined my night.

I got a queen bed suite with a reasonably sized kitchenette. Don't judge me or think I'm bougie but I always do a room inspection before getting comfortable, especially of the bed. I'll say that my room was 100% clean and bed bug free. The queen size bed was clean and comfortable with plenty of pillows. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, full size stove and there is ample amount of counter top surface and cabinets. The bathroom is a decent size with the normal ammentities of two sets of clean towels, some bathing and hand soap bars, hair dryer. My only complaints of the overall room is that it had an iron but no iron board and that you have to check the door to ensure it is closed all the way once you open it. There is a small gym room on the premises that requires your room key to get into. There is a laundry room if needed as well. Overall I think this is a secure, clean and functional facility worth staying at.

I told him I'm leaving now to take him to my son's grandmother's house. I checked out the next day or so and I have a pet fee. Can I speak to your manager? She's not here, I'll give her your info. No call. I go back the next week and I call. Same thing. The manager isn't here but I'll give her your information. Nothing again. I go back a third time and Lance is there. He said I didn't tell you that. I said yes you did. You don't understand the effects of not having a SD. I would have just checked out and spent the money to stay somewhere else. You all didn't clean my room the entire time I was there, got mad that I asked them to bring me a microwave and instead of calling to apologize and say I shouldn't have said that you ignored me for 3 weeks and had me continue to drive up here because you wouldn't call. He said o was that you calling on an extension. What?! Why does it matter? Answer the freaking phone. Then when I asked him his name, he kept ignoring my question. But your name is on the sign on the desk. So I said are you Lance. O yes. I asked him where I could do a review because it wasn't about the money, it was that I was misled. He said I didn't say that but I'm not sure where you do a review or complaint. I had to keep asking him several times about he complaint and he finally was like try dodlodging.net. I will never waste my money at this hotel. Ive had family and friends stay in their lodging because it's a small base and I want to support. But NEVER will Cherokee Lodging get a penny from my family or anyone that I know.

The breakfast was robust, location good and safe, towels and bedding good. The problem: they are required to have smoke alarms that flash - and the flash was SO BRIGHT. The word AGGRESSIVE came to mind. It was like having a lightning storm in the bedroom. I'm a dark sleeper. And I could sleep turned toward the window with the glow from the parking lot seeping I'm around the curtains, or facing the intermittent strobe from the ceiling. Won't be staying again.
