Had a 10 year old mountain bike that had been sitting in the garage collecting dust for the past 5 years. Shift cables were so stiff I could not change gears. John came the next morning, arriving on time with a great attitude. i explained my flat tire and he immediately went to work. He cleaned up the bike, oiled the gears, adjusted the seat, changed the tire of course, put sealant in the tires, offered me a few riding tips, and adjusted the gears. John is a very knowledgable and detail oriented bike mechanic who provided me with outstanding service on short notice. I ordered a 2019 Commencal TR29 the week i had planned to go down to snow summit bike park......(poor planning on my side). I called LBS around the area on Wednsday to see who could assemble and set up my bike on that Friday as my bike was scheduled to be delivered on thursday....needless to say every shop i called gave me a 3 to 4 day turnaround quote from day of delivery. And then, I came across Johns 805 mobile bike repair service here on Yelp while looking for LBS and sent him a message directly from the yelp app explaining my dilemma. John was quick to reply, giving me a great price quote and and informing me of all the bike services and products he offers. We messaged each other back and forth and arranged to drop my bike(box) on Thursday at his place in Somis. Mid-day Friday I received the attached images and became the proud new owner of a fully assembled trail shredding machine. After work Friday i arrived at his place to see John had perfectly assembled my bike and set up my tubeless tires. Once there he put the finishing touches on his service by setting up my suspension, seat, and cockpit to my weight/riding style and gave me some great riding pointers. This was an amazing experience. John responded quickly to my questions via text and phone. He was eatsy to communicate with and to get a hold of. I had two mountain bikes that were need of a full checkup and cleaning in time for Valentine's day. I sent him photos, and he gave me an honest and reasonable estimate. I accepted. He came the next day with his trailer, fully equipped, parked in the road, opened up the trailer, and immediately began working.
