Beautiful waterfall on a beautiful day! Hike was a little hard and I would recommend going when it wasn't super hot. I would definitely go again. Had fun watching boys jump off the cliff and dipping feet in the creek.

Easy hike with some moderate inclines and declines. No climbing at all. Bring water. Total hike to Paradise Falls took about 40 minutes if moving slower, I tend to walk faster so it was about an hour round trip. Parking is free and the park is really clean.

This hiking trail is really beautiful. There is a parking lot near the trails. Space is limited. When we went we got lucky we found a spot there. There was a sign stating more parking down the road. Once you start the hike it does split off to different trails. If you want to go to paradise falls, you should follow those signs. There are some areas that may be hard if you have a stroller. I did see some people struggling. Once you get to the area near by paradise falls it's also a tight squeeze for strollers. Other than that, the trail is so fun to do. Combination between easy/moderate/hard. We will be coming back.

What a great hike today. Everything looks so green. There are no restrooms so be warned. There was porta potty but there was poop everywhere. I almost vomited. It seems as though it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. It was extremely disgusting. I hike often, this isn't one of my top places but I'm glad I visited.

Quick selfie at the lower falls.

Beautiful hike. The falls were raging. I suggest you go early as it gets crowded fast and parking fills up quickly. There are a couple of YouTube videos that I'd watch before going, and they give you some great tips. By the time we made it to Lower Falls, it was packed. We had a great hike out the back way, completing the loop. I'd say it's low to moderate difficulty. Enjoy!

Distance: 2.55 miles (loop) Elevation change: 260ft Hiking Time: Approx 1hr and 15mins Open to: Hikers, dogs, bikes Fees: FREE! Just 40 miles (39mins) out of Los Angeles, the Paradise Falls is one of the most accessible hiking trails in Southern California. We always go out on weekends so lots of family, group and single hikers and a roving security patrol making our nature tripping safe and enjoyable. The trail has wide and narrow paths. It's a downhill hike from Trailhead to Paradise Falls with 260 feet elevation. The falls drops 40 feet into a large pool along the Arroyo Conejo in Thousand Oaks. One of our best hiking trips ever.

A great spot within Wildwood regional park, the trail signs are easy to follow, and the hike is doable for beginners. Despite what's already been a fairly dry 2021 the water fall still has a decent flow (decent for souther California since most water falls are dried up by now.) During the Rona lockdown of 2020 this spot was hit up by every casual influencer wanna be. People trashed this place pretty bad, that along with overcrowding the area the park was closed for a while. There are still signs in the nearby neighborhood asking people not to park in the streets mainly because of how bad people left the area. Now that the craze died down and those clowns are back at home enjoying Netflix & Hulu like they should, please do your part to help keep this place clean simply by taking back whatever you bring in. Park rangers aren't janitors that get paid to walking around miles of a mountain area to pick up other peoples garbage. In the words of that stupid owl from the 80s "Give a hoot, don't pollute."

As we started the hike at about 9:30 AM Saturday morning, 4 coyotes trotted across the path. We stopped. Other hiker stopped. Dogs stopped. I seriously was ready to head back to the car and just hit up a brunch spot. But they eventually trotted along in a different direction we were heading so we continued on our way. In total we did a 4.5 mile loop passing Lizard Rock, waste management plant and paradise falls. We did the loop counterclockwise so the incline wasn't as bad. Probably would have been more intense clockwise. Paradise falls was definitely busy and some parts of the hike were stinky and smelled like sulfur. Parking in a lot if you're lucky and please abide the signs that don't allow parking in the neighborhoods. You're out for a hike so park a little farther and get more steps in.

Post-rain beauty. My new fav! Parking was easy even on a Sat. The waterfall was only 20 min so I kept walking and went all the way to the top. Probably one of the harder hikes I've done (just keep going).

Always a great idea to go hiking here whenever I feel I need some exercise done, to refresh both my body and mind. The scenery is calming and serene with beautiful mountains around and greenery everywhere, and the trail to the falls is easy for anyone, even my toddler boys love it! We've tried different trails to get there as well since my boys want to advance and challenge themselves. You can definitely pack a lunch or picnic if you want, there are some tables and benches in certain areas on the main trail. People also use their mountain bicycles here on certain trails, some bring their dogs, and I've encountered many families with all ages of kids hiking as well. It's a trail for everyone! Parking is plenty and free, even during busy times. Have been hiking here for years even before our kids were born and I hope for many years to come!

This was an impressive ~3 mile hike (Paradise Falls via Mesa, Teepee and Moonridge Trail). I was surprised by the amount of water in the waterfall even though there hasn't been much rain lately! Trail was on a dirt road with minimal shade except when you get closer to the waterfall. Plan ahead with a map on AllTrails so you know which way to go. There are some inclines / declines as you head from the teepee to the waterfall and back. Plenty of parking during a Friday morning in the dirt parking lot. In addition, there were not many people at the waterfall which was nice. I can imagine this place being packed over the weekends though. Overall, I enjoyed this hike because of the flowing waterfall and the interesting teepee.

Trail to Paradise Falls is now open (it was closed for a few weeks a month back). Around 2.5mi roundtrip fairly easy hike, with tons of signages so you won't get lost. When you see the teepee, its around 0.4mi downhill. Keep on a lookout for the "paradise falls" signage as it is smaller than the others in the area. Pretty waterfalls but no swimming is allowed. Went on a Monday mid-afternoon and there were only about 2 other small groups in the area. At around 5-6pm people started to arrive for the sunset so if you're trying to avoid the crowd don't come in during that time.

How far are the waterfalls from the closest parking spot ? Thinking of going with my kid

It's about 30-40 minutes walking at a normal pace. It's an easy trial and I'm sure you and your kid will enjoy it :)

Is this hike still open during COVID?

    Yes!

What time does this place open?

    How long is the hike?

About a mile from the parking lot via most direct route so a little more than 2 miles round trip. There are, however, multiple trails and depending on which way you go or return while could be loner. One route a little over 2.5 miles and another… Read more

How much time does it roughly take to get the waterfall? Or how long is the trail distance wise how many miles? 🤔

To be honest I don't know the exact miles. However for someone who doesn't enjoy long hikes this was was a breeze. It is nice and quick. Hope that helps.

What is the best time to hike there?

Morning time is best before it gets too hot especially this summer with these heat waves. Weekends are busier than weekdays, but either is fine. Bring water and snacks. You can relax once you reach the waterfall.

Is the water safe to get in?

I've seen people get in, usually teenagers or young kids. Also I've seen lots of dogs splashing around. I would venture to say no just to be on the safe side.

    Are there bathrooms there?

We didn't see any last time we were there.

I want to go there with my kids and stay over night as a little adventure? Is it allowed to camp wherever we want?

    Is there an entrance fee?

    No , parking is free

How long of a hike is this?

Depending upon your speed, 1 hour round trip from the parking lot or less. That means hiking down and taking the small trail to the bottom of the falls.

Hello! Is this hike manageable for a 4 year old? She can walk for days, however we gets nervous if she has to climb rocks or area where she can fall.…

The park ranges in trails that are flat, other trails with lots of inclines. The paradise falls is a down hill pleasant walk, coming up is not as bad but a 4yr old might enjoy it.

It's about a 5-mile roundtrip hike. There's some tall brush that you'll have to walk through at the end so you may want to wear pants and wear hiking shoes. There are a number of different trails that can take take you here. I started from the trailhead located at the end of Falling Star Ave in Thousand Oaks. The trailhead is a little hidden. It's located off to the right at the end of a cul-de-sac. Make your way along the curvy Hidden Meadow Trail. You'll reach a fork where you will need to make a sharp right continuing uphill on Sandstone Hill Trail. After a decent incline, take a left at the fork and continue to head in an uphill direction. The trail eventually dead-ends at a power line transmission tower. From there you will see the arch high up on the mountain. You'll then probably say to yourself, fogettaboutit! But it's actually not as hard as it appears. There's a small path marked by a cairn. You will need to power your way up the hill. The trail is well-marked but really overgrown with tall dry brush. When you get to the top head left. The trail will lead you to the backside of the arch. Be sure to spend some time reading the short messages and view the various trinkets left by behind by people. Relax in the cool shade. Climb on top of the arch and appreciate the views. I really liked the inspirational message someone wrote.
