During our visit there was a few birthday parties going on, kids screaming and running around. Most of the games we played seemed to be sticky or greasy on the controls. Unfortunately, several games that we wanted to play (power roll, coin pushers) were either broken or jammed. Also, each play was pretty expensive compared to other arcades we've played at. The only staff I saw was at their respective counters, none were seen walking the floor checking on things, or cleaning. The tickets we did win, there was nothing much in their prize area we wanted (too many junky toys and candy), so we gave the credits to a nearby kid. We enjoy seeing an arcade prize area tailored towards kids and adults. Unless they change it up, I highly doubt we will be back.

Fun Experience @ Gamers Arcade Bar in Spokane, WA. !!…read more We caught a comedy show next door at the Spokane Comedy Club this past Saturday and on the confirmation email, they promoted this great nostalgic bar! We're glad they did because it's a great place with classic games, friendly employees, and clean restrooms! We sat at the bar and played NES games: Excite Bike, Punch-out!!, and Super Mario Bros. What fun remembering combinations, and hidden mushrooms, lol. The drinks were good and we felt comfortable hanging out as long as we wanted. We said our goodbyes and made our way out, but before you knew it, the bar keep came out, tracked us down, and gave us what we had forgotten on the bar top! What a great guy, we appreciate you!! To which I said, heck yeah! He told me that I had to check out this place called, Jedi Alliance, an arcade with a bunch of old school games. Say no more, I'm in. However, they're only open Friday through Sunday, which makes it difficult for me and my work schedule. Fast forward to today (Sunday), I had the window of opportunity to make the hour drive to Spokane with the hopes that this arcade was all that I dreamt it to be lol. My friend had no idea where we were going and was still confused when we pulled into the parking lot. When we walked in, I got the instant nostalgic old school vibe and feel as it was kinda dim with all the games and machines giving the place a magical glow. "Voltron" greeted us and asked if we've ever been in before and we said no, we're first timers. He was really nice and when he went over the rules, he spoke calmly and read the rules in a speed that we actually understood. Sometimes you go to these game places and when they explain how things work, they either speed talk or mumble. Voltron did a great job giving us the run down and instructions and even gave us some history on the place. The cost is $18 per person with unlimited play from open to close, which I found as a great value because we ended up losing ourselves there for 3 to 4 hours! There's over 140 classic pinball and joystick games, which is outstandingly epic. There's no other place in this area that offers this many games and with the variety of retro classics too. I'm not sure if it's because I'm born in the early 80s, but this place hits the bullseye. I had a blast reminiscing from when I was a kid and I kept hearing my friend say, this is so fun, lol. The bonus is the fact they have a hand washing station, which I definitely used a few times. With all the hands touching the machines, I really appreciate the owner's thoughtfulness. Jedi Alliance has more than just games, they have a museum of retro pop culture movie posters and props, a huge collection of old school dolls, figurines, toys, and games. Some things are for sale and some things are not. Overall, this was one of the best times I've had in quite some time and will definitely be back.

Man oh man is this a tough review to write…read more First of all, I want to be clear, there is nothing else in the Northwest to even compare Silverwood to. So, with that regard, it is without question the best amusement park within several hundred miles in any direction. It also has a water park, which again, is kind of peerless for the area. So, if we're just comparing this to other amusement parks in the inland and Pacific Northwest, Silverwood gets five stars. However, when you compare it to other amusement parks in the country, and look at the actual experience itself, it does come up a little short. Now, don't get me wrong, it's still a great time, still a great place to spend a day or weekend with your family. The biggest problem with Silverwood is the running of the rides themselves. Not that the rides malfunction, but the staff members who are coordinating and operating the rides, could across the board do a better job. First of all, all of the lines move ridiculously slow. You will be waiting in line for an unreasonable amount of time, even on not busy days. Second, and I know the park is mostly staffed with high school students on summer break, but the staff members often don't seem like they know what they're doing. On my last visit to the park there were several instances of staff members being unclear about what we were doing. About how to get into the trams. About whether or not we could store our backpacks. Which, especially after waiting in line for too long, doesn't lead to a great experience. But, overall we all had fun and it was a really nice day.

The manager(Jay) stated he knew nothing about it and refused to honor it! He got hostile when we objected and says we could go outside and settle it! With my grandkids standing right there! To have someone like that managing anything is appalling! When you give a small person a little power it often goes to their head! No people skills and obviously poorly trained! We are pursuing this in several ways as what was done to us and in front of my gkids must be addressed so it doesn't ruin someone else's family day!
