I have been a customer for 10 years or so. The quality of the meat, my primary item for purchase, has always been good. However, in the past couple of years or so, the customer service has been pretty bad. The guy at the counter has been very unhelpful and it has always appeared that he does not work there of his own free will. In the end, I go tired of the attitude/customer service and avoided the store since the past 6 months. I made a mistake last week and went back. I ordered a goat leg, which the butcher showed me (it was wrapped up). He weighed it and asked me if it was OK. I agreed and he started to work on my order. The cutting area is behind the counter and it is not possible to see what happens in that area. After the item had been bagged, he came out and handed me the shopping bag, for which I paid at the checkout counter. Imagine my surprise when I opened the package after reaching home. Instead of 100% leg meat, there was a large amount of ribs, which is far cheaper than goat leg, that had been mixed in. This has created two issues; First, I did not get what I am very specific and picky about. Second, it shows dishonesty, which is unacceptable. Ever since the new management took over the quality of meat and service have significantly gotten worse to the point where I have decided to no go there any more. Decided to come here after hearing good things about this family owned market my shopping experience was great until I went to order something from the meat department The older Spanish looking man approached me and by the looks of it he didn't want to help me and to top it off I can hear him laughing making jokes about the COVID 19 That was unacceptable and I was disgusted to know that he thinks that everything going on is funny Luckily the younger butcher was professional and was able to help me out if it wasn't for him I wouldn't want to come back props to the young butcher We need more people like him read more

I went to this shop after being cheated by other zabiha halal shops for selling bad chicken many times. I was referred by a well know Mufti to this store and they also sold bad chicken which had awful smell in it to me. The person on the counter denied and didn't take the chicken back. I had to throw $ 70.00 chicken in garbage and decided not to eat any chicken. We have stopped eating chicken 7 months now. So be aware of the chicken they sell. They proudly display HFSAA certification and cheat on people. If you buy Chicken please smell it before paying. Being a muslim you should follow proper shariah law or close your business. read more

This place can get more stars but these two jokers at the counter reduce number of stars this store can get. I went in to some event in mehran and afterwards decided to visit this store and found some specific naans which I was looking for sometime. After picking them when I went to counter then there was one old couple infront of me and they asked for some specific brand ground flour which they do not have but after couple is gone both these jokers started making fun of this old couple and laughing. One of them is son of owner. I asked him where he is from and then I told him I am from same sister city back home and when I was going away I heard him making fun of me with other joker at the counter. I read some views and read people had similar experience with these two jokers. Advise to the real owner please remove these two jokers from the counter including your son as they are hurting your business. read more

My wife went there and similar to other people's experiences. The guy at the counter was disrespectful. My wife asked why isn't he wearing a mask, it's the law. He said, he doesn't believe in it and if that's an issue, she doesn't need to come back next time. Writing this review after two separate visits to this store, one time caught these guys cheating and second time a really bad customer service experience. Couple of months ago went to this store to buy some lamb meat. I was in the line with three customers ahead of me. A lady asked for goat meat and I saw the butcher pick some meat from the glass display case and bag it. When It was my turn, I asked the butcher specifically for lamb meat and the butcher picked my "lamb" meat from the same pile of meat in the display case. A friend of mine also experienced this before and warned me about it, he was sold goat meat instead of lamb deliberately. When I confronted the cashier, he said it was by mistake. I don't know why these guys are doing this but they clearly have some motive behind this.. After a few months, I decided to give this store a second chance and hoping things would be better. I was so wrong to give this place a second chance. Person behind the cashier desk was busy on his cell phone. I stood in-front of him for a full minute without him making an eye contact with me. Then he pulled the phone next to his year and started talking to some one one the phone.. while he was talking he made eye contact with me and said "yes" a couple of times. Then he put the phone away from him ear and said in his agitated tone "I am talking to you".. how do you expect me to know that by saying "yes, yes" you are addressing me? How do I know if you are talking to me or the person on the phone? Put the damn phone away and then talk to your customer. I left the store without saying a word! I will make sure no one in my family and friends visit this store! read more

The butchers here never understand simple requests. You tell them you want one thing and they try to get you something else instead because they are either confused or just want to sell you something else. Very frustrating. CUSTOMERS, PLEASE READ! The last few times I have purchased meat from Faisal market and a few other halal meat places nearby I have been very disappointed with the quality of the meat. There is usually either excess of blood, excess of fat, or the meat doesn't taste good. Obviously it's not organic, but I began to wonder about the whole process, is Zabiha meat really better for me if it's not treated properly or not of good quality? Anyhow, I walk in to Faisal Market to once again purchase halal meat. There were no other customers there. Not busy at all. Usually it's the older gentleman with the beard that politely helps me. However, this time he was doing something else. There were two other younger men standing there, one with short dyed hair, the other with a black beard. So the guy with the black beard greeted me in English (with a desi accent) and before I could say anything he asked me: you want turkey? For some reason he assumed I wanted turkey, I smiled and said no. In English, I asked for a whole chicken cut up and separated into two bags. He immediately said he couldn't do that as the whole chickens were already sitting there in one bag. I was surprised he said they didn't do that. I said really? He confirmed no he couldn't. So I said well if you can't do that then I don't want that. So instead I explained to him I wanted chicken breasts, chicken legs, thighs, etc. I asked him to cut and clean the meat well. I saw him make a face when I asked him to clean the fat off the thighs as well. Hmmm... So he walks to the side where the cutting area is and starts cleaning the fat off the chicken breasts. He says in Urdu to the other young guy working next to him: clean ker ke sheraab lagana. Then smiles and turns to look at his friend he said this to, so then his friend chuckled. Now, I'm not someone who gets offended easily but the tone of his voice and the manner he said it in was VERY INSULTING. And considering I was the only woman standing there in a room full of men who are supposed to be helping me, that didn't sit well with me. YES, I do speak and understand Urdu very well. And YES, he did say that about me and my zabiha chicken that he was cleaning. And no I don't drink alcohol, is that why he assumed I wanted a turkey (for Christmas)? So I waited and watched him clean and cut before saying anything. But then he takes out a whole chicken and starts cutting it up for me. Hmmm. I was confused as to why he was doing that, when he specifically told me he canNOT do that for me, which is why I had ordered everything else. Long story short, I let him know I understood Urdu and NO I DONT PUT SHARAAB ON my CHICKEN - in Urdu! And that no I didn't want that whole chicken anymore. He just smiled condescendingly. Not only that but by then there was a couple shopping in the store they asked what happened so I told them, and they urged me to tell the owner's son who was sitting at the cash register. So I took whatever I had picked up, including peppers and spice, to the cash register where there was a guy sitting off task, no clue to what's going on in his small store. I told him what the butcher had said, and his response was "no, no maam" He seemed useless in this situation. So I told him I changed my mind I don't want any meat from the store, so let me pay for the other items. The young man kept saying "no no" as if this was a misunderstanding. So I asked him again please let me pay for the spices. Again he said "no no", he couldn't complete a sentence or help me complete my purchase, at which point I left everything and walked out. I was frustrated and done with all of them. Needless to say, I have NO PLANS TO SHOP AT THIS STORE AGAIN. And if you don't like poor quality meat and poor quality service, including being insulted by boys who think they are superior to you because you're making them do their job, then I recommend you stop shopping here as well. Thank you Faisal Market for a lesson I needed to learn. Chicken is halal no matter where I buy it from. Zabiha meat is not the same as an animal that is halal for me to eat. Cleanliness, the way an animal is raised, fed and treated all amount to the quality of the meat. That's why your chicken meat lacks good quality. If anyone knows of places that sell natural or organic, cleaned, cut and packaged zabiha meat in the Bay area please let me know. I know I had more options for this when I lived in Houston. But surprisingly for a place that is swarmed with Muslims, the Bay area is still way behind in how we treat, package and serve our meat. Until then I guess I will be shopping at Trader Joe's for some clean chicken or will stick to eating seafood and veggies. It's healthier anyways. read more

I bought Halal mutton today and it was very fresh and cooked perfectly. Also the shop had lots of varieties of meat delicacies. Also the shop has with Spice Mixes of almost all the popular brands like Shan, Lazeez, Ahmed and also sauces, pickles, condiments, sweeteners, etc. The owners were very good to talk to and help out. The thing that struck me the most is that the shop is the cleanest Hala meat shop in Fremont- Newark area. I am going to go here henceforth for Halal meat. read more

Great place for halal meat and Pakistani merchandise. They have recently upgraded the shop and now its airy, bright and the meat quality has improved considerably as well. I rarely find any expired items here anymore. The meat guys are a little rushed for some reason so make sure you make a list of what you want. What I am not happy about at this place is that they have a very old accounting system that doesn't provide itemized receipt. They do take orders on phone to prepare meat but I have never tried it. read more

if you happen to be a young lady and walk into this store by yourself, the men is this store are so interested in asking about your personal life than help you find what you are looking for. I was there for a specific kind of spice which they obviously didn't have. I even asked the owner and he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. I went ahead and picked up some other spices and walked to the register. The uncle at the register started asking me questions about where I was from, if I was new in town, if I had kids? and if I was married? At that point, I was so irritated that I wanted him to stop asking me questions and just ring me up for the stuff I bought. I'm regular at this place for whole chickens and i order worth $100 every week, This time I have ordered on phone 45 minutes before going there, He didn't even bother to make the order ready, same thing happened last week, He made me to wait 30 min and then prepared my order. There are people out there that who really are looking for business and these guys are losing it when they have customers. The bald headed old guy who cuts the chicken plays another tactic, he will cut the chicken and put them on the scale with so force and print the ticket immediately, it makes $7 or $8 difference. So sick of all these tactics and late order preparations. I'm done with this store and never going back there again. read more

Its 2015 and the owners attitude has not changed yet. He still picks up fights with the customers and makes humor about them in Spanish with his workers. I have been going to this shop for more than a dozen times and every time when the owner is in, I came out unhappy thinking of not visiting this business again. But since the meet this business produce is good in quality (not the price), I always end up visiting him but no choice. To this business owner, you always show your attitude to your customers and make fun of them among your workers, you might be a rich guy but as a business owner you need to have and maintain some curtsey towards your customers. The folks in this place are genuinely good hearted folks. They are super sweet and helpful whenever my mom and I have visited. If you become a regular customer, they will treat you like family almost. They will help carry your items to your car if you require the help which is very rare these days. The meat is always fresh here, I wouldn't trust another butcher to beat their meat quality. They also have all of the spices necessary to make the best meal possible with the meat that you buy here. They also accept apple and samsung pay which is a huge plus for me since I am always forgetting to bring in any cards with me. Their prices are fair and you can trust that you're getting your money's worth from these guys. Go check this place out, you won't be disappointed. They also sell halal turkeys in case you're in the market for a holiday meal. Plus they have a great location close to the mall with plenty of parking. Management have changed. Looks much cleaner and spacious. If you want authentic Pakistani items and fresh halal meat items, this is the place to be. In Summer they get Pakistani Mangoes as well. Bad tempered Terrible Owner... I have been to this place a few times and every time the owner has an extremely rude attitude. For the first few times I just avoided conflict with him and quietly got the required meat from the workers(who are good) and used to leave. For few weeks he seemed polite and I decided may be I was being too judgmental. So I kept going back to give him further business. But recently he started showing his bad side so much that he doesn't even bother about customers.Picks up a fight and curses his customers.
