I've had my oil changed at this place a few times since I live nearby. The experience is always a…read morebit unpleasant. They are unwilling to make any sort of appointment scheduling or give any time estimates for service. When I've asked for a time window, they've become hostile. They want you to leave the car with them all day for an oil change, and even then they won't guarantee it'll be done that day. It always has been in my experience, but they make it sound like they'll get to you when they're good and ready, and that's all you need to know. It's clear they could just create a scheduling system for routine service like an oil change, give you an appointment time, and turn it around quickly like pretty much every other place I've ever received an oil change, including other Shell stations. But I guess they don't want to bother, and they pass the inconvenience along to you. Also, when I've asked for additional services like replacing the fluids and checking the air pressure, offering to pay for them of course, they haven't been done. And despite requesting these when I drop off the car, they always act surprised when I ask about them at pick-up. Maybe I'd need to leave the car there another day to get the wiper fluid changed?

This can be tricky when there are several cars waiting to pump gas. The price is usually worth the wait, though. There is also a small walk-in convenience store on the premises which sells snacks, lottery tickets, etc. It's not a full-size convenience store, so there is not a big assortment of items like there would be at 7-Eleven. It's handy, though.

Being a girl, I find going to mechanics a daunting task because I feel taken advantage of. A couple of the doctors in the office i work for suggested Buck and the Shell service center to take a look at my car when it started smoking out of the engine. This location is actually a Shell gas station with a mechanic service station on it. I have to admit, i was super skeptical! Who fixes their car at a gas station?? Seems sketchy! My co worker said, "Everyone used to get their car fixed at gas station slash mechanic shops back in the day, its good!" The doctors and some of the nurses I work with had all used them so i decided to give them a try. Buck was great and got me in without an appointment. Their shop seemed clean and organized. He was very nice, full of useful information, and even offered to drive me back to work for me. I left my car there, walked back to work. Within a couple hours he had called to tell me what was wrong with my car and said he could have it fixed by the end of the day, for several hundred less than I had expected! When i went to pick up my Honda they had rotated my tires for free and given it a free car wash! Awesome much? I will reccommed this mechanic to anyone! Great job guys!
