On Easter Sunday, me and my 91 year old mother stopped in for fuel. Not an attendant around, but the "open" sign on the window. I prematurely popped my tank lid only to sit for several minutes still wondering if they were open.. maybe they closed early as it was Easter and left the light on? I got out and closed the tank lid and started to drive off when I saw a large younger man meandering out of the mini-market. No greeting, just a shoulder shrug. I asked if he worked there and wasn't sure if he was opened...explained my confusion about the sign and he replied"I put a sign in the window that said I was in the bathroom!" I apologized, said I didn't see that one, just the "open" sign. He walks back around to my tank, stands there and was irritated when he came back to my window, and with all the body language you could muster from a person who couldn't be more annoyed to be at a job, he asked "well, do you want gas or not". I was put off so I said well yes and as he got back to the gas tank, I said " you know I change my mind, I'll go down the street and get less attitude" All down hill from there. He called me a bitch, the came the "C" word, then the "F" you and flipped me off and continued to gesture vulgarities as I left the property. I was seriously so blown away by his aggressive behavior and total lack of customer service and behavior. Who does that! I later apologized to my elderly mother. She was obviously frightened and shocked my the events. I have contacted the corporate offices of 76 and hope they will be in touch and take needed action with that business. read more
