We called Ponci's based solely on their location, hoping for a little guidance--but we ended up getting so much more. Even though they were fully booked for the day, Ponci took the time to run a quick diagnostic. As soon as he saw the code, he realized it was something he could fix--and despite his packed schedule, he went out of his way to get us back on the road safely. His kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help complete strangers truly blew us away. Thanks to Ponci's, we were able to continue our trip with peace of mind. We're beyond grateful and couldn't recommend them more highly! Five stars isn't enough!

After paying for the repair , I started the truck and saw a check engine light on (that wasn't on before). When I talked with Brad and his Mother? , they told me that check engine lights are electrical and they don't work on electrical. When I made more attempt to get them to take responsibility they responded with racial comments and laughed at me. I took the truck to another mechanic who found that an electrical plug (that they had to unplug to do the job I hired ponci's for) wasn't plugged in all the way and didn't charge me to plug it back all the way. Ponci's lost out on servicing my fleet of vehicles. NEVER AGAIN !!

If you know then you know & if you don't it's because you went by this place, saw it & chose not to…read morestop in. BIG... HUGE mistake. The garage mechanic garage chaos setting you saw & kept driving past holds a crew of "keep it real, no BS, here is what you need done to your automobile" real American blue collar thinking/working mechanics. No matching uniforms or choir boys present. Just a crew of rough looking grease monkey DUDES. The way a true American grit garage should have & be. The head boss "Sam" & his crew aren't going to win a popularity contest but they will give you all their effort & skills to figure out what's wrong with your automobile & fix it as fastly & cost friendly as they possibly can do so. I needed my AC fixed, to get on a long road trip back to the Midwest and they got it looked at, parts ordered, fixed, still found another issue after, then another part was ordered and then finally fixed within 3 days. It was the initial part arrival that used most of that time. It's wasn't the crew's fault. Once fixed and working, it's in excellent fashion and I was able to be on my way. That AC came in handy around Sacramento & through Nevada and I'm not even half home yet. I'm a retired Federal Law Enforcement officer & Army Combat veteran so I don't appreciate things "sugar coated" to spare my feelings. Sam keeps it real letting you know what the issue is, the part(s) you're going to need new & what the service is going to cost you. He doesn't try to claim their the best option but he doesn't make you think & feel that they are going to give you an honest effort to the best of their abilities to get your issues resolved. Next time you have an issue with your automobile just stop in & talk to Sam and his crew. They'll hear you out, take a good invested look into what your automotive issue is and then give you the option to set up for him and his men to fix it or your free to try somewhere else. There is no ego or guilt trip thrown if you choose the later. Please keep in mind that these are the dying blue collar breed this country has lost in the mechanic repair field. They own what they are and what they do. "We ain't pretty but we do get err done" I highly recommend giving them a chance.

Mike has been incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially understanding my financial limitations and working with me every step of the way. He has gone far above and beyond what anyone would normally expect from a mechanic. After I was involved in a multi-vehicle accident, I had no one else to call because I haven't lived in this area very long. Mike came to the accident scene, made sure my vehicle was safe to drive, and even replaced parts right there so I could get back on the road. He then cleared his schedule to make sure my vehicle was repaired properly as quickly as possible. The accident was extremely traumatic for me, and I needed more than just help with my vehicle--I needed support. Mike and every one of his employees treated me with genuine kindness, compassion, and respect. Even though they had only worked on my vehicle once before, they made me feel like family. These are stand-up men who take pride in doing the job right. They stand behind their work, they're accountable for their repairs, and they truly care about their customers. In a world where it often feels like people are only looking out for themselves, Mike and his team are a rare exception. Their integrity, character, and kindness are second to none. I would recommend Mike's Brake & Front End Repair to anyone, any day of the week. If you're looking for honest mechanics who genuinely care about people as much as they care about fixing vehicles, this is the place to go.

The car started having trouble in Salem, we had to pull over and have it towed into a shop in Salem. They said that the Catalytic convertor needed replaced (very expensive) and that they didn't recommend driving it at all. Afterward we drove it 7.5 hours back to Fortuna, CA. Obviously there was still an issue with the car, so we took it here. The owner is very friendly, he explains things thoroughly, he was thorough in determining the issue with the car and gave us a VERY fair price on the hours he put into it. This is an HONEST shop. Those are hard to find. He could have very well charged us for extra hours and taken advantage of us like the shop in Salem attempted to but lying about a very expensive repair being needed. However, he didn't and we have really appreciated doing business with this shop.
