My kids are 12 and 14. The accusation was that we "poured a cup of water" inside the smart lock on the front door, and that we "filled" the garbage disposal with rocks. Definitely not something a 12 or 14 year old would do, The conversation was so insane and left me feeling like he was trying to get money out of me. I do not think they like children at their property. I use Airbnb multiple times a year and have nothing less than five star reviews from hosts. When we arrived in Port Aransas we found the office quickly and easily. Melissa greeted us with a big smile and we were also greeted by a very sweet Barney (the mascot I think). She asked if we wanted to stay another night for free and the weekend was officially perfect. The room was exactly as we expected and described. The bed was so comfortable we got one for our home. The salt water above ground pool was relaxing and cool after a long day of food, drink, and beach. We have returned every year for the past five years. That's not such a big deal but no coffee maker in the cabin and in all the years in the past: the security-cleaning deposit was given back into your account. Was informed today( after I had to call) that that was now included in your stay. That should have been made clear up front upon booking. We make it a diligent habit of thoroughly cleaning our cabin before we leave. Between no coffee maker and the other little perks, we were short changed in our stay this year. I have always taken your business cards and also word of mouth to promote this resort but I now have to think twice. Just not the same as before.
