For reasons unknown to anyone, GN has been BLASTING music so loud for the last couple of months, you cannot even have a simple conversation with your table mates. The food here is okay. I enjoyed the food I ordered. I did a poke bowl which it's a create your own like rice or noodles bowl. So, if it doesn't taste well, that's my fault not theirs lol but I enjoyed the items I picked. They did add pineapple when I selected cucumber but I didn't mind. It still tasted good. I'd eat here again, I think. Maybe to try their ramen or a different poke bowl option.

Most of the seats were torn, which was one of the first things we noticed. We grabbed our own menus and waited a few minutes for the waitress to come over. We both ordered waters, but my son's had floating green particles on top that looked like green onions. Instant turn off. I ordered a poke bowl and he ordered ramen. I do wish both dishes would've come out together. Once we started eating, I could tell pretty quickly my poke bowl was anything but fresh. The cucumbers tasted sour, the edamame was mushy, and the amount and quality of the fish was disappointing for the price. My son had a similar experience with his ramen. He said the wontons tasted like nothing, although the broth and noodles themselves weren't bad. This little restaurant honestly has so much potential, which is why I hate leaving a negative review for a mom-and-pop place. But for the prices being charged, the ingredients really need to be fresher. Unfortunately, we would not return

I'm big on customer service so I love that even if the sushi was bad , the customer service always makes up for it, but I gotta say the sushi is NEVER bad . At all times of the day it's fresh and the price is always fair . Even the other items on the menu such as bang bang shrimp fried rice, vermicelli bowls, and the rice bowls are each very excellent. I LOVE the pandan latte it's so delicious and not to sweet , I highly recommend that you try it ! Each day at around 6:30 or 730 I believe the sushi is 25% off, which is great because they hate throwing it away and they want to sell it and sometimes they just even give it away because why throw out perfectly good food you know ? They make the sushi fresh every single day you can even get sushi made to order if you don't want what's in the refrigerator box but it's all still extremely fresh . I come here at least once a week with my fiancé and we love the place. i've never had tuna tartare but I tried it today and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. This place is located on a run-down street on the back side of LC and as you pass shuttered shops and run down eyesores you question your choices, but as soon as you walk into this place, you can see the pride that has kept this restaurant alive since the 80's. Now I had a lunch special, so I really can't opine to all the food, but I can say that the egg rolls and the Shrimp in Garlic Sauce were good and served pleasantly and promptly. Our family sat down and my chair (out of all the chairs) and it made me lean forward and had to swap chairs. Waiter did get our orders for our drinks and gave us our salads and soups while we waited for more people to show up. We are a healthy family and 2 of us do NOT put lemon in our water. And we ALL love water rather than sodas. The WATER WAS AWFUL AND HAD A BAD AFTER TASTE. I even asked for bottle water which I would have paid for but they do NOT SERVE THE EASIEST THING CORRECTLY. Now the 2 of us need a soda. I waived and waived (my waiter was NO WHERE TO BE FOUND) and finally asked for 2 sodas and they sodas NEVER SHOWED UP... we were eating salads and the cook is here now and we STILL have NO DRINKS. After waiving to another waiter (not ours) I stated again and finally we received our sodas. Since I have a tough time swallowing I need drinks and my soda was empty instantly and it took forever for them to refill it as I had to repeat the awful process of getting a waiter. Waiter has vanished and barely see him. The cook was awesome and entertaining but I was do distracted talking to waiters and trying to survive (swallowing because I can choke with no drink) I missed very good parts of the hibachi because of this.
